Very affordable and easy to book. We scheduled for 2 and got there aroudn 1:30, but it wasn't an issue at all. Thankfully we can during the less busy season. The kayak was in good condition and the entrance to the lake was easy to get out in the open water quickly. They also have a sandwich shop connected to it that has some of the best homemade bread I've ever had. Rented a tandem kayak for a quick paddle -front desk very friendly but outdoor staff not quite the same-seemed to me they had other things to do and we interrupted them or something...they said very little to us...they had one kayak and it looked well used...they had us enter the kayak via an old outdated poorly maintained wooden 2x6 inch retaining wall...not the dock -with nails sticking out of it-yikes...no life jackets...my husband had to remind them to give us them...the weather was iffy when we left but we gave it a try-the sound of thunder brought us back in quickly-they didn't caution us about it-again silence from these two-one was on the phone actually...the rear seat was in bad shape and actually hurt my hubs' back...getting out was onto the same rusty-nailed wooden platform...not sure you want to waste your $ here...not for kayaks anyway read more

We decided to use Oconee Wild Watersports as the choice for a pontoon boat and jet ski rental. Their website was great and everything looked wonderful. We had been so excited to actually have a vacation after what this year has dealt to us. Well, we get there to pick up the boat we rented with a raft to pull behind it. The first thing we checked because we are big music people is if the radio worked. Nope! The speakers were blown on it. We thought well that's ok no problem. We can deal without a radio. So we go to take off and get out of the no wake zone and turn the boat off and throw the raft out only to notice the rope is in half. The raft was floating away from the boat. We call and let them know and they tell us they will have someone bring us and new rope. A few minutes later they call back saying that we have to go back to the dock and get the rope. All the while this is cutting into our 4 hour time frame. They accused us of breaking the rope. We had told them the motor wasn't running and the rope was in half when we put the raft in. They said that they would be glad to show us the video of them inspecting the rope when we got back. We agreed that we wanted to see it. We get back out on the water and have about 3 out of our 4 hours left now we had fun for that part of it. We bring the boat back and go up to pay for it and they were going to charge us for the rope. The young girl in the office could not produce a video of her service guys inspecting the boat. We didn't have to pay for the rope but we were threatened that they may still charge our card. The next day we have to go back to this same place to deal with them about the jet ski. The morning people there were very nice. They were helpful and explained everything to us. We get down to see the jet ski and there are holes and marks all in it. We decided it would be ok. The guy from the day before (said mechanic) videoed the jet ski before we took off. Well so did we. We had 9 people going to be riding so we went and sat at the tables at Georgia Butts BBQ. Which by the way has some of the sweetest nicest people working for them and some crazy awesome food. It was our drop off and pick up place for everyone. And we were right next to Oconee Wild. After about 3 rides we noticed the jet ski was making an odd noise, so we ride it back over for the mech ic to check out. He said there was nothing wrong with it. We continued to let everyone ride and took the jet ski back. We go in to pay for gas only to be told that they might charge our bank card for $245 because we messed up some ring on the jet ski. This coming from that same young girl that harassed us the day before. Upon speaking with some of the folks at the BBQ place they get a lot of complaints on Oconee Wild Watersports. We will be taking our business to Young Harris Watersports next time. read more

I highly recommend Oconee Wild Watersports if you are looking to rent a boat on Lake Oconee. We rented a pontoon boat for 24 hours and everyone was so accommodating. The boat was like new, very clean and had everything we needed. They were so helpful fitting our kids in life jackets as well. Renting a tube for the day is a must. Our kids had a blast! Not a place I will rent a boat from again. Boat had damage before we left and said it was noted then when we came back wanted to say that we were the ones that damaged it. It's funny when we brought it back that they went right to the bimini top and unzipped it and said we broke the one of the bars. Of course when it was originally inspected they did not unzip the top to inspect it then. General manager said someone was paying for the damage. read more

As soon as we walked in, we didn't feel welcome. We were asked "what do you want" by an elderly man and were told you had to make reservations to go into the office to rent something. Their neighbor is Young Harris Water Sports and they were a way better experience. They said hello to us and made the renting experience very simple and pleasing. I highly recommend Young Harris! I called to make a reservation for two jet skis for my sister, me, and our husbands while we were in Georgia visiting family. The reservation process couldn't have been easier. They told us exactly where to meet them, they arrived on time with two jet skis in great condition, went into detail on how to use the jet skis, and off we went. These things were fast! We had a great time, Kiersten even told us some great spots on the lake we could stop and get out for some additional fun. She was right on time picking us up, and off we went on our way. This place is just plain terrible. We used this place last year and had an ok experience. We were told that next year we would be old enough to drive. We had called ahead of time a little while ago to ask about age restrictions and told that we were old enough. Then when we got there we were told that we were too young to get on the jet skis unless we took a six hour boat safety course. We were obviously disappointed and annoyed. She then says that there is a loophole where they can put the jet ski in our name and then if we get pulled over and get a ticket it is on us. So shady. A lady then tells us we can go swimming if we want. What? The man we spoke to was rude and essentially told us to get out. We called back later and asked is they had a three seater so an adult could ride with us. The man on the phone asked when we wanted to rent it. We said we were the people that had come in earlier and left because of the age restriction. He then proceeds to tell us that we do not have the balance for a three seater. This place does not have good customer service whatsoever and also has no insurance. We will not be attempting to come back. Thoroughly disappointed with my experience. read more

My sister rented a boat from these scam artists for our entire 11 member family!! They did a pre inspection of boat and prop. However...They didn't show us the prop fin located on bottom side. Then upon returning the boat they didn't do a post inspection with us and tried to say we damaged their prop fin by calling us after we left the premises. The only problem we had on water was a tubing line got tangled while parked when trying to restart engine. That was not enough to cause a prop fin to crack. It would have had to be hit by something to do what they were claiming we did. Beware if you rent from the people to carefully inspect before you leave or you will be charged with damage you didn't do!!!! read more

I cannot believe that this whole in the wall has any 5 stars much less this many. My brother rented 2 jet skis from them last year. When we checked in to their place the older guy there was really mean!! Told us that we lost time and that he didn't have time to deal "with people not showing up on time". Then when out on the jet ski we saw them deliver to a dock near us and backed their customers into the water while the customers were riding the jet ski and the lady almost fell off after it took them about 3 tries to back in! Everyone knows that this is extremely dangerous and could and almost did result in serious injury! The girl who backed them in didn't even apologize to them and the customers were pissed. Buyer beware, this is NOT a professional outfit and unfortunately tragedy is just around the corner with them! There are other options on the lake. If you value your life and money go with one of them!! read more
