They told me they couldn't put any shoe covers on at all,rules are rules, but one of 3 was wearing a pair & the others walked around supposed "cleaned" carpets with their dirty shoes. After I expressed concerns about this, the main guy said they were going to walk off the job, which is what they did, never completing more than half the job I'd hired them to do. I'd taken a full day off work specifically to get the whole house cleaned. Not only were they late arriving, then got the job wrong & had to get the right equipment (making the whole process start over 2 hours later than my appointment), told me I was owing around $200 more than discussed when I first set the appointment, then walked all over the carpets that we wet and treated with their shoes on, they left a mess downstairs with filthy mats they through down, walked around my floors again with their shoes uncovered, then refused to clean the entire bottom level of the house & walked out on the job. In addition, the guy made it out to my my problem & blamed me for them leaving because I'd expressed concerns over the many mistakes that were made - the 2 hour delay, the cost increase & compromised cleaning job ...complained to me that they're so busy & working a lot, instead of taking ownership & simply making it right. I'd used them 4 years ago & since then, the customer service & quality of work has turned to garbage. I had to make 3 phone calls yesterday & you first must go through AI which only transfers you to a messaging service. The message service is absolutely useless. They can't set appointments, answer any questions about basic service provided, can't confirm appointments, all they do is tell you they'll have the "service department " call you, which is the main man who came out to do the work with crew & zero phone calls were returned. I asked to have the owner call after the disaster they left me in by walking out, no call returned. If a customer can't express any feedback when major mistakes are made by the company you hire, when they misrepresent costs & then add on extras on day of, & refuse to properly perform the job & walk out without finishing because they just don't feel like finishing, that is completely unprofessional. They cost me an extra lost day off work & additional monetary costs of having to hire another company as emergency cleaning services so I can move back into my living spaces horrible business model & terrible customer service. I think it's reasonable that businesses show up on time, pay attention to the job that was booked & come prepared, and then complete the job professionally & properly, & assess the cost that was discussed when booking the appointment. It's simple. Many companies offer the same services & I would recommend using anyone besides this one. I regret asking them to come back 4 years later because clearly their service & quality has substantially declined. Unprofessional & overall terrible experience.

I first emailed Don the owner and got no reply. I eventually called and was chastised for emailing (which he apparently does not check). Don and I discussed today as a day that would work for remediation. I had the distinct impression he was going to come. He had me text photos of the problem, which he agreed was not right. Yesterday Don called and left VM asking what it was they were supposed to do for me, as he could not recall, and to verify the time. I texted him this morning indicating the texted photos I'd sent previously, which were on the message thread, signed my name and wrote unhappy customer under my name. Don immediately called back and demanded to know if I'd texted him and why would I have done that? Why would I have written something like that? I responded that it was because he had left VM asking what it was they were supposed to do. Don stated that what I had said (unhappy customer) was "over the top". This call was rude and unpleasant from his end. Unhappy customer is about ME. I get to describe myself any way I choose, regardless of him thinking it's over the top or milk toast. The technician came and re-cleaned the room I had complained about. Hopefully this ends any contact I have with this company.

Anyways, before today I had not had my carpets cleaned since I moved into our home over 3 years ago. I honestly didn't really think about professionally cleaning the carpets because I had not needed to think about it prior to this home (oops, my bad! I'll keep up on it now!) I'm sure everyone did the same thing before choosing who they wanted to go with to clean their carpets (searching the many options/reviews that appear on google), because there are quite a few out there, and its hard to know what a reasonable price is, and what the service should look like from start to finish if you have not done it before! (You can stop looking now that you're reading this review :p) I was looking through, and came across Top Notch Carpet Cleaning, and I honestly couldn't have made a better decision. Steps I took before day of service- - Went onto their website and looked at their service options (They make it super easy to build your own quote online) - I chose to book an appt and choose specific areas, sizes, and the type of cleaning I wanted - I then chose an available time and booked the appt all online within a matter for maybe 5min (After you choose the type and area size you want cleaned, it gives you a price for the service too!) Prepping the spaces being cleaned before the service! I made sure to vacuum the spaces I was having cleaned before the day of service (I recommend reading their pre appt email that tells you how to prep the space prior to their arrival ( I assume this just helps with the flow of your service and ensures that their tools don't get clogged or something. But either way, if it helps them day of, the areas will be vacuumed! I will note that once your service day comes, they will look at the areas to make sure they aline with the options you chose (which is super helpful, because I kind of guessed sqft areas in bedrooms that had things like furniture that took up sqft space) and will discount a little if you chose too big of a space, and add if you underestimated the space. If you've gotten this far, thanks for reading and I hope the remainder of this review helps you choose who you'd like to clean your carpets! We have come to the day of service! I received a text the night before letting me know what time he would arrive the following day, and I also received a text the morning of telling me how far out he was, which was very helpful for me so that I could make sure my animals were put away! Once James arrived he was very nice, and took a look at the areas I wanted cleaned, and also looked around the carpet for pet stains with a black light. (yikes! I may have to invest in a blacklight now haha!) Anyways, the blacklight was MUCH needed. James was very thorough during initial looks, and then got to work! I'm honestly writing this as he works because I have the time, and also wanted to be very thorough with this review because up until this point, I am super happy with the service. Update- Service has finished. The carpets look as new as the first time I saw them when the house was new! I can't say enough good things about James, and the service he provided. He also had the most reasonable pricing and quickest availability which was great given that we contacted him Thanksgiving week. He even cleaned the carpet around our couch at no cost since he noticed we have two young kiddos who spend a lot of time around there. We will definitely contact this business again when needed!
