So this review is tricky because food (the muscles 5 stars ) The kindness of our server (5 stars) The promotional deals( 5 stars) The way they finesse you (2 stars) I came here on a Friday evening because once you subscribe to their texts you get promo deals. They have 50% your tab hookah drinks food a straight 50% off. Me and my homegirl met for drinks and chit chat. **This would be my second time here ( came for my birthday gathering but I was drunk so I didn't leave a full review since it's not that accurate)** During the visit, our soccer was very nice. We sat on the outside patio. We had a couple rounds of drinks and Hookah on Friday. They have a free lemon drop shot. The shot didn't taste like the drink so I personally didn't like it. But I enjoyed the lemon drops that I paid for. Initially, I wanted to espresso martini, but they were short the ingredients at the bar so I was not able to indulge. Our server asked if we would prefer double shots and what type of liquor. And here's where the story goes wrong.- I did accept the double shot unknowing that the double shot was the same price of another drink plus a five dollar up charge for using termana. My drink was $12 but ended up being an extra 17 because of the double shy in this amount of making each drink almost $30. This was deterring because we were not advised upfront. We did not find out until we got our check so if you come be aware of the day do itemize every single thing we got extra bread with our muscles. We paid an extra four dollars for bread. We asked for water I believe the water was four dollars. The only thing we weren't charge for was the extra coal for the hookah. Again, the ambience wasn't mad. The service wasn't bad. Just be aware that they will nickel and dime ask 100,000 questions. I could've had two drinks for the price of one drink once they added all the extra add-ons..... and I went for the special so I probably could've got four drinks for the price of one drink had I been advised of the up charges. Other than that as a typical Atlanta spot, you are going to pay $20 to vallet. The music was pretty good. It was a good mix, but it's nothing to write home about. The vibe was very chilled just amongst the restaurant so they should've considered doing like a 90s vibe on Fridays it's real relaxed. I would definitely go back, but I would go back knowing not to get extra anything take it as the base price if you go for the 50% off weekend specials . It's the only way you're special. Will feel like you're actually getting something out of it.

Stopped by on a random Saturday after receiving at text from them saying that everything was 50% off and who can pass up that great deal! Parking was $10 to self park or valet. My boyfriend and I stopped by midday, we didn't have a reservation, but we were quickly seated. We decided to sit out back on their outdoor patio and it was spacious, had tvs, and and a nice vibe! Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. For food; I went with the fried shrimp basket and my boyfriend went for the chicken plate. We both really enjoy our food and service!

It started of interesting, then reeeeally swung toward the positive. Parking is still a little weird, but we found a spot around the corner. Then we were able to get a table in the patio-like area, which has a pretty set up! You have to text a number to pull up the menu on the phone, BUT once we got our orders in, things started to look up! IMPORTANT TO NOTE: There is FREE hookah before 6pm on weekdays. Heart eyes, okay? They were out of a few wines we tried to order, but the bottle of Pinot Grigio we settled on was actually really tasty. And when the food came, the portions were HUGE! It was fried heaven and GREAT eating. I really like the calamari and truffle potatoes personally. Maybe next time I'll try the crab soup. Also a fan of the octopus egg rolls. The vibe was great and more people started to trickle in as the night went on, so it was active and the playlist was lit. We stayed longer than expected, and we would have stayed even longer if schedules allowed. In short, very pleased with my experience.

March 2025: I kicked off my weekend at Octopus ATL, and let me tell you--it did not disappoint! If you're looking for a seafood and Mediterranean spot with great vibes in the heart of Atlanta, this is it. Our server was super friendly and helped us to navigate the menu to choose the most delicious menu items. Brunch here runs every Saturday & Sunday until 5 PM, and they do it right. I grabbed a seat on their gorgeous garden patio, enjoyed the fresh air, and indulged in: Chicken & Waffles - crispy, flavorful, and the perfect sweet-savory combo Lamb Chops & Eggs - cooked just right and packed with flavor Calamari - crispy and tender with the perfect dipping sauce Fried Shrimp - seasoned to perfection The music kept the energy high, the cocktails were chef's kiss, and the vibes? Absolutely unmatched. Plus, they've got $75 Moët Rosé bottles, shisha, and plenty of TVs if you're trying to catch the game. Whether you're celebrating a birthday, planning a date night, or just switching up your usual brunch plans--Octopus ATL is definitely worth checking out! 1551 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30324 Will I be back? Absolutely.

Octopus kitchen is my go to for free hookah and great food. The ambiance is a vibe and they have good food and music. If you need a great server make sure you ask for Izzy. She is amazing!

What a weird little place. This place is prime for a pros and cons list: Pros: food is great and fresh, service is great, hookah burned great, ambiance is quirky, vibe is distinctly Atlanta, and the bar is impressive in terms of look and variety. There are TVs everywhere and I love watching sports so that's fun too. I like the decorations a lot as it has an updated but older feel with character. Cons: this place is very, VERY overpriced. Salad, 5 shrimp, and rice for $41 is just unnecessary. I got metal detected upon walking in which was fine except that means there's a reason they're metal detecting on the way in which is not great. "Standard" valet was $20 to move my car maybe 5 feet. This place has no idea what to be. Is it an upscale seafood restaurant? A hookah lounge? A sports bar? A club? Yes to all. I'm not mad about it as the concept seems viable enough. It's just confusing and a bit of a rip. 4/5

Celebrated my 45th bday here, this past Saturday, 11-25-2023. I made reservations for a party of 25 ppl for 6:30. My first impressions when I walked in was, I thought it was small, and thought I was a bit over-dressed, but hey it was my bday, so I dressed for MY NIGHT! The hostess at the front was very young and apparently didn't know much about the restaurant or valet parking info. We were seated in the very front b/c that's the area that they reserved for us. Our waitress, Roxy was attentive and very helpful...well at least to me. One of my guests said that she was rude to them. Also, one more thing to add, from the pics. I thought that this was more of a classy, grown n sexy spot...NOT! However, it was still nice! The waitresses had on booty shorts...not a good look to celebrate a grown n sexy bday...but hey..is what it is! I ordered fried shrimp as an appetizer, which was very tasty. For my entree' I ordered the lamb chops...VERY GOOD! So good, that my friend n her husband was picking at my leftover bones!! LMBO!! My husband initially ordered the seafood pasta, which he returned b/c he didn't know it was spicy and he said that it wasn't good AT ALL! His replacement order was shrimp pasta which he said was a much better choice! Be aware that parking is a bit confusing! We valet ($20) parked, but mostly everyone else parked in other areas close to the restaurant and just walked the short distance. All in all, we had a good time and enjoyed the food and drinks! P.S. I didn't receive my complimentary champagne that I was included, but not a big deal b/c I'm not a big drinker. Also, hookah was complimentary (which I did receive).

Mussels- good, the sauce is very rich, a bit too much so..

We came mid day on a Sunday. The place wasn't too busy. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was hit and miss.. we liked the truffled potatoes appetizer and calamari. We were not fans of the crab soup. The Sautéed Octopus stole the show, it was delicious. The mussels were tender but the creamy sauce was almost overly rich.. the linguine was ok. Overall, we enjoyed our time. The only thing that would make me go back however, was the octopus dish.

So I met a friend for lunch here when they had a 50% special on the entire menu. She'd been but it was my first time. We both had lamb chops. I substituted the rice and broccoli that it usually comes with for a double side of fries. I do wish there was more variety in the sides but the fries were really good. Lamb chops were tender and juicy. The place is small but it's a cute little feel. They have hookah too for those that like it. Our waiter was really nice too. No complaints about her. A 20% gratuity is added which was fine with me. I'd go back for. Just don't like the parking situation. Valet is $30 so I parked across the street and just walked over.

My fish was REALLY REALLY good, my husbands pasta was a bit bland and the shrimp were overcooked, the drinks were SKRONG! This is the perfect place to meet up with a friend to have cocktails to talk crap about your work week, do a little hookah, and listen to your favorite jams. My husband and I went here for a date night, and though it wasn't what we expected it was a really good vibe and would come back again. I will say the service was a bit slow but our server was nice and the owner was really friendly as well.

I went on Valentine's Day which is probably the main reason for the over-crowding. We were initially sat at a table between two other tables but the tables were so close it felt like we were on a date with the 4 ppl beside us. Idk if this was just due to it being Valentine's Day or if it's always set up in this manner. Luckily we were able to move to the bar and that was much more comfortable. We ordered drinks, amazing margaritas btw!, and had the shrimp basket and lemon pepper buffalo wings and a Caesar salad. The food came out pretty quickly given the crowd and everything was delicious. The music was creating a great vibe and the service was great. I'll definitely try it out again.

Came here on a Friday around 7 it wasn't too busy but started to pickup around 8. The space is cute, very picturesque and the food was very good. I had the blackened salmon Alfredo and the only thing was that the Alfredo sauce was watery and i had to add more seasoning. The other ick was that we were asked to cash out because we were at the only two top table and they had a reservation for the table. I didn't understand, but they gave us a complimentary shot and we were just sitting and talking by that time anyway. They also are the only place that i know that gives FREE HOOKAH every day if you're sitting at the bar. There are only about 10 seats. 1st come 1st serve!

Super attentive without hovering, gave spot-on recommendations, and was playful, funny, and genuinely kind. You can tell she loves meeting people, and it made the whole table feel celebrated. Food was way better than I expected for a hookah lounge. Get the oysters - fresh and perfect - and the pesto garlic bread is a must. Seriously addictive. And the hookah? SLAPS. Smooth, flavorful, and they keep it going without you having to ask. The ambiance is very Atlanta in the best way: flowery walls for photos, eclectic cozy seating, great music, dim lighting, total vibe. But let's talk about the food because it deserves its own spotlight. The hummus was unbelievably fresh. Smooth, rich, perfectly balanced with olive oil and seasoning. You can taste that it's made with care, not just scooped from a container. And the jajeh kabobs? Tender, juicy, and seasoned all the way through. Every bite had that straight-off-the-grill flavor that makes you pause mid-conversation just to appreciate it. What really took the night over the top was the hospitality. The owner heard it was my birthday and didn't just send a quick "happy birthday" from afar. He came out from the back himself, brought out complimentary cheesecake, and even took a couple shots of tequila with me. That's not customer service. That's genuine celebration. Great food. Smooth hookah. Real hospitality. I walked in for dinner and left feeling like family. If you're looking for a spot that feeds you well and celebrates you loud, this is it.
