So if you go on Instagram, this place looks really fancy so it definitely caught our attention. It's a bar that seems a little out of place given the fact that it's in Sandy springs and there really no lounge settings like that in the area. But it does have a really good look to it and it does have some vibes. It's in a small shopping area and their free parking spaces, so keep that in mind. If you go close to the city that'll be a problem but this is the Sandy springs so free parking it is! Ended up making reservations but ended up sitting at the bar. There was nobody there and it was a weekday so we basically got all the attention. The bar is set up very well and all the decorations and ambiance is super solid. If you're looking for something picture -esque, this is a good spot. Some Instagram photos and do some hookah, this is your spot. They have it indoor part, with two bars, and they have an outdoor piece or patio to it as well. So just keep that in mind, there is plenty of space. Bartender was cool, we ended up chopping it up a lot more as the afternoon went on because had to wait for the food. So customer service, no complaints. Hummus and pita bread - So I will say that the hummus was decent. Nothing major or nothing special, but it was okay. It has a pretty good flavor to it. But if you're going out, you want a full type of meal. So just the fact that the hummus was good. Really didn't sell it for me. The person I was with at the bar ordered something and said it wasn't really amazing either. I forget what it was though! I think it might have been the lamb. Chicken Alfredo - The chicken alfredo was nothing right home about. It didn't have as much flavor out as I would like it to have had and the sauce wasn't as saucy as it needed to be. It tasted okay though! But I probably would not try it again. I probably would try other things potentially, but the food that I tried was okay but nothing that I need to get again. Again, the hummus was okay. But it's hummus, it's not like it's the main dish LOL. It's a lounge type situation so the prices are going to be elevated so just keep that in mind. But if you just want to catch some music from the DJ, you could come here and chill and get a drink and probably be fine. But I wouldn't go there if you're looking for food necessarily. That's just my personal opinion.

Capping off a stressful week and preempting holiday chaos, me and my girls popped in to unwind. We ended up here after our original spot was booked for our holiday party. The vibe is pretty cool with the DJ spinning mostly hip-hop. To boot, the bartender has a really good pour. We will more than likely return from our shenanigans.

I've been looking forward to visiting this restaurant for AWHILE. The reason for the low score is totally on my first time and the comparison of food to price. The decor is what saved my review from a lower rating. Ordered the Vs French 75 and lamb cubes. Unfortunately the food was mediocre. And the drink although tasty didn't have the panache of the photos. Bartender was engaging. The wait time for food may have explained why the lamb cubes tasted over cooked. And it does not come with a sauce. I had to request tzatziki. The positive. The inside is top tier. Decor is continuous from wall to wall. Felt like I was transported. If I go back, it would most likely for the hookah and the patio.

What a vibe!! Love this little spot. Don't be fooled by the exterior, especially it tucked away in a strip. What's the saying? Don't judge a book by its cover! We came for drinks and hookah, and the inside is very LUXE. The decor is extremely chic and the crowd and DJ were on point. I also have to say the customer service was GREAT. Love the patron tower we had to share and very affordable at that! Hookah was unique. It came with ice and a fruit base which we upgraded to and I loved that they kept refilling without a fee, but we were there long enough so that was a huge bonus! We spent probably about 5 hours haha. Definitely try that chai vanilla flavor! Thank me later. Place is a little pricey. We walked out each spending two bills each, but it was worth it. Oh? And they add tip! Which is also nice!

Me and my friend were all dressed up and supposed to go to a concert but, thanks to the downtown water pipe crisis it got canceled. Anyway, since we were already dressed and looking cute, we didn't want to let the night go to waste. After searching for an hour or so where to go, we stumbled upon moustache hookah bar and figured we'd come check it out. First we took an Uber, but if you're looking to park, it is valet and I saw a sign for $7. We had our IDs and purses checked by security and headed inside. The first thing I noticed upon walking in was the restaurant was very nicely decorated. It looked very upscale from the decor to the furniture. Also ladies, there is more than one bathroom stall here so no worries about waiting in a long line! We did not make a reservation, but were sat immediately. The hostess informed us there was no section that needed to be bought or a table limit. So I was very happy after hearing that. Shortly after our waitress came over and tried to take our order. I guess we should've told her this is our first time here and we need time to look at the menu but we ended up just ordering hookah first. She said you can mix up to three flavors but we got the mighty freeze, watermelon, and gummy bear. I think it was really good. We ended up getting a ice hose as well because my friend kept coughing. We don't smoke hookah often, but it was really good imo. We came starving so we shared the sun garlic bread, it immediately reminded me of cheesy bread just a little thinner. It was absolutely delicious. I would've ordered a second one had I not ordered an entrée but I did and I got the salmon Alfredo, which was equally delicious and very cheesy on the bottom. It was saucy, and the salmon was cooked okay they could've cooked it a little less but, regardless I enjoyed the entire meal. I tried to order a side of vegetables, but she said they didn't have any other than what came with the kebab dishes, which was onions, jalapeños, and banana peppers so I passed. My friend ordered the Jojeh kabob and I think she really liked telling me that the veggies that it came with were actually really good and not from the jar as I was just assuming. I really enjoyed my experience at this lounge. It was grown and sexy and very chill, I could definitely see myself coming back. All staff members that we encountered were really nice and professional, and didn't seem impatient or annoyed we were talking to them. My only beef was that the DJ, would always seem to cut a song off right when the good verse came on lol.

Because I didn't want to be unfair, I tasted one before saying anything -- my sense of smell wasn't the problem. I sent them back. A second dozen was brought out with assurances that these were fresh. They were not. Identical smell, identical film. I tasted one of those too, for the same reason. Identical result. At that point the kitchen tried to make things right by sending out fried oysters, apparently to prove the product was fine. The smell of old fish coming off that plate was overwhelming before it reached the table. I didn't eat it. I left dinner having consumed a few fries off my dinner partner's plate, and we went home and ate there. I want to be fair: the staff were pleasant and clearly trying to recover the situation. But the recovery was the wrong one. When a customer sends back raw shellfish because it smells spoiled and confirms it by taste, the answer is to pull the oysters from service and check the rest of the batch -- not to plate a second dozen from the same source, and certainly not to fry them and send them back out. Spoiled raw shellfish is a genuine health risk, and it was served to me twice. One more observation. At 7pm on a Friday night, we were the only guests in the entire dining room. An empty room and product this far past its prime tend to be related problems. The one unqualified bright spot (hence 2 stars vs one): the guitarist. He was genuinely excellent -- great player, great song selection, and the only reason the evening wasn't a total loss. I hope he finds a venue that matches the quality he's bringing. I won't be back, and I'd skip the raw bar here entirely.

After speaking with the staff, i believe Mashawi is more specifically palestinian. The concept of this place is what sets it apart. They make it easy for the new comer or the veteran by telling you that there is nothing to order, you just enjoy. Right out of the gate, the side dishes and salads are presented like you are at a wedding feast. It is family style so you have to be quick if you want first dibs on the babaganoush or the hummus, and especially the Falafel (best i have ever had). Don't worry if you are slow to the draw because they will refill all sides and salads. The hardest part abotu Mashawi is having self conctrol because what comes next is a parade of seasoned meats and proteins that only get better. Reccomend the Steak, Kifta, and shrimp and Salmon. I have only been for dinner and at the end of this glorious meat train, they will ask if you would like more! It's a great family experience, or a night out with other friends. If you are wanting to introduce this cuisine to rookies, this place is perfect because there is no pressure to choose the right item. There plenty of choices for everyone to find something to eat. My last piece of advice would be to wait to order the Mint Drink at the end as a paltte clenser. They tempt you with a taste at first, but waiting till the end is the perfect punctuation to a unique and unforgettable meal.

We tried Mashawi for the first time and thought the concept was interesting -- different Middle…read moreEastern meats are brought directly to the table, somewhat similar to a Brazilian steakhouse experience. At $45.99 per adult, it is less expensive than Fogo de Chão, so I wouldn't expect the same level of meat quality. We tried quite a few of the meats, and while everything was fine, we found the quality, texture, and flavor fairly average. The portions brought to the table were also surprisingly small -- for example, two shrimp and a very small piece of salmon at a time. Since it is all-you-can-eat, you can ask for more, but overall the experience didn't feel particularly generous. The most unusual part of our experience was the mansaf. It is listed as part of the all-inclusive menu, and since none of us had ever tried it, we specifically asked for it. The gentleman serving us strongly discouraged us from ordering it, explaining that mansaf is very heavy and that usually Jordanian customers come specifically for it. Later, when we asked again, he told us that since we were already full, there was really no need to order it. He did say he would bring it if we really wanted it, but after being discouraged multiple times, it felt awkward to insist, so we ultimately didn't try it. We understand that mansaf comes as a large dish and that he may simply have been trying to prevent food waste, which is understandable. At the same time, since it is specifically listed as an included item, we were surprised to be so strongly discouraged from ordering it. We were genuinely interested in trying a traditional Jordanian dish, not simply ordering more food because it was included. Overall, the concept is interesting and the price is reasonable for an all-you-can-eat meal. It is also fair to keep the lower price point in mind when comparing it with places like Fogo. But between the average meat quality, small portions, and the awkward experience around ordering the mansaf, we probably won't return.
