Dr. Mihora is an eye surgeon and performed a biopsy on my Temporal Artery. She worked me into her schedule on very short notice. She met with me first and explained in detail why and what was going to take place. After the biopsy she again explained the procedure. Dr. Mihora is very easy to talk to. She listens and answers questions readily. The office is efficient and the surgery center that performed the biopsy gave excellent attention to my needs. read more

Dr Lisa Mihora is a fantastic Oculoplastic Eye Surgeon! She is a very, very good! She is very communicative and asks the appropriate questions after her team has ran the various test necessary to provide her the necessary data. I have been very happy with the results of the surgeries that I've had. I have had more than one surgery due to my first Oculoplastic surgery having been done by a very inept plastic surgeon. He did a very poor job. She is very caring and communication is not rushed. I have not had any surprises pre or post surgery I would not hesitate to send my family to see her. read more

Front desk did not inform patient that the wait was so much longer. Appt was 11:15. Was sent notice to arrive 15 min earlier than appt time. Got there 10:50 AM. Took 2 min to checkin. Sat in waiting area then exam room. 10 min with Dr. Left office 12:50. Wall mounted screen in waiting area was off so nothing to watch & no magazines or reading material available to pass the time. My oncologist offers small snacks to patients in their waiting area. This office didn't even have any individually wrapped holiday candy available. Dr is friendly & knowledgeable. Easy to discuss the eye problem with. I trust her professional opinion. She recommended another Dr for a second opinion but that Dr just chged offices & is now located in Mesa. She is not scheduling any appointments as yet so I'm on a wait list. To rectify this eye irritation & vision problem seems to be progressing very slowly. It is affecting my quality of life as I'm having headaches & my equilibrium is off. read more

This review is long overdue. I had my DCR surgery (Tear Duct surgery) on my right eye in July 2019. I traveled from Gilbert all the way up to North Phoenix based on my research into Dr. Mihora's experience and reviews from various sites. Her bedside manner is excellent, and she makes you feel so comfortable asking questions and addressing your concerns. The pain from the surgery was minimal and the medications she prescribed worked very well. (Actually, I only had to take the pain medicine for 2 nights). For a few months after the surgery, I was concerned because my tears were still not draining. However, after about 7 months, I noticed that I had not teared all day while golfing, even with all of the outdoors elements. I was ecstatic! I am at about 90% back to normal as of today and hope that eventually I will be close to 100%. Thanks to Dr. Mihora for all that she does to help her patients! read more

I really liked Dr Mihora but members of her staff are incompetent. It is unacceptable to me to have to wait five months for Blepharoplasty surgery after my first appointment, after already waiting four months for that first appointment. Her staff sent double billing codes to my insurance company and didn't understand that all they needed to do was resubmit. They finally did which of course my insurance approved but then they failed to call me to schedule. And then claimed there were no surgical appointments available until after my pre-authorization expired so they would have to resubmit. I had to make numerous calls to the office. Finally I gave up and went elsewhere since did not trust her office to correctly bill my insurance after all the problems I experienced. read more

I would be happy to give a decent rating; however, I have to say this has been the WORST medical experience EVER. I was referred by my dermatologist, called to schedule an appointment in mid November, 2021 only to find out BOOKING WAS OUT UNTIL MARCH 2022. Given the high degree of concern I have regarding the growth on my eyelid, as well as the risks involved, I decided to book the appointment with Dr. Minhora. I did confirm with the gentleman answering the phone that my insurance was accepted at the practice and also inquired regarding the possibility of getting on a cancellation wait list. I was told there is not a cancelation list, however, I should periodically check back to see if there is a sooner opening. I did that. Only to find out the only days to call back are Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Of course that information was NOT part of the initial scheduling conversation! I proceeded to call back numerous Tuesdays and Wednesdays to no avail. Meanwhile, the growth on my eyelid was continuing to increase in size as well as cause me severe eye irritation. I decided to wait as my March appointment drew near. I then received a text message confirming my appoint to which I replied. The day prior to my appoint at approximately 3:30 in the afternoon. I received a call informing me the practice does NOT TAKE my insurance! Needless to say, I was upset and frustrated along with a whole other level of emotions. I explained to the somewhat curt individual (female) that I checked months ago, was told the practice does take my insurance and her response was well I don't know why they would have said that, but we don't. I then asked why I wasn't contacted months earlier so I could find another specialist, and never received a response. I also inquired if there was possibly another doctor/surgeon she might be able to recommend and was given an immediate NO! She proceeded to tell me she was canceling my appointment for the following morning. HOWEVER, that evening, I received yet another text CONFIRMING my appointment the foloowing day. Confused, I contacted the office prior to my required departure for the appointment, thinking that possibily I was still going to be seen. Yet another front office individual answered the phone only to confirm my appointment was indeed cancelled. Of course I questioned why then was I still getting text messages confirming my appointment and the response was oh its probably a glitch in our systems. I let it go and tried to move on, BUT IT HAS BEEN EXTREMELY DIFFICULT BECAUSE THEIR SYSTEMS CONTINUE TO TEXT ME LINKS TO THEIR SURVEY TO RATE MY SATISFACTION LEVEL WITH THE PRACTICE AND THE DOCTOR THAT I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO SEE!. I did try to ignore several additional messages, but have continued to receive the annoying texts and determined the only way to stop them was to take the survey and therfore you are now able to determine whether or not you are willing to experience the same exasperating experience, frustraction, lack of customer/patient care and concern as well as the inefficiencies of an extremely poorly managed medical practice. I did send my survey to the practice and as of this rating have not had a response. I guess time will tell to see if this doctor and/ or practice actually reads and acknowledges the sheer incompetence that are going on each day in this practice. I will wait for a response.... read more
