Arrived at this optical office to have my glasses adjusted. It was about 15 to 20 minutes before they closed and it was obvious that the gentleman that was in the front desk did not want to provide service. He gave every excuse that they were closing in 15 to 20 minutes. He continues to go on and state there is another patient that the technician or the doctor had to see and she was the only one that could adjust or fix the glasses. He then went on to ask questions if I purchase the glasses from their store, and if not, I would have to sign a waiver, which I said that is fine, but he continue to go on how I would have to wait deterring me to stay. He continue to be disgruntled and started to discuss with another colleague about me. He then started to talk to his colleague about the situation and it was interesting because I was hearing them talking and they were talking about me and how I came in 15 to 20 minutes before they're closing and how they wanted to go home on time. No customer service no professionalism in their field just a bunch of white privilege individuals who think they can speak to anybody disrespectful. Obviously this practice is making enough money to treat new or old customers anyway they want, ironically, people like this in the medical field. Need to understand this is not a 9-to-5 job. Very disappointed I highly recommend that you do not go to this office and share with family members and friends. I went to the competitor up the street and got better service and my glasses adjusted. Stay away from this practice unless you want to be treated disrespectful. I was referred to Dr. Geiger by HonorHealth rehabilitation. I was involved in a car accident and suffered a concussion. The therapist at Honor said Dr Geiger specializes in post concussion vision issues. Dr. Geiger recommended prism lenses, so I had them make go ahead. Not sure how they work but the new glasses have improved my vision. On my last visit Dr. Geiger recommended vision therapy. I will start therapy after my business slows down in early November. I recently saw Dr. Geiger due to being hit in the eye. Although, she is a very competent doctor, I do not feel I received the care to warrant the $175 charge I received after quite literally a five minute visit. I did give them the opportunity to resolve this prior to writing this review by contacting Dr Geiger directly. Unfortunately, she completely ignored my email and did not bother to respond at all. I have never once written a negative review, but in this instance, I can't help but voice my opinion for something so outrageous as a five minute appointment without a comprehensive eye exam and no insurance $175. This for an eye drop, and looking into my eye. Prior to this, I referred several of our patients to her office, but will no longer be doing so. So disappointed! read more

Never had an issue with Dr. Geiger personally. She took care of our daughter's eyes well, but the billing practices of the office are unethical. They claim to have sent us statements that they never did, never called to follow up, and then billed us in office for services that were two years old and informed us that we would be receiving another bill sometime soon for services a year ago but it just wasn't reconciled yet. It was incredibly disappointing, frustrating, and difficult to swallow a bill over $500 because they didn't do their job when they should have. We won't be returning. read more

As a healthcare worker I was shocked with how I was dismissed by so many doctors when my health declined UNTIL I met Dr. Geiger and her AMAZING staff. I was finally properly diagnosed and they helped me to see again. Get out of my "tunnel vision". Walk again with vision therapy and so much more. They are all so caring and truly listen to me every single time I'm in office. They also quickly respond to my emails and phone calls. They ALL treat the Pt's like they are their own family. After working inside a water damaged school, my vision tanked and my eyes' ability to track was impacted. Dr. Geiger is one of only a few optometrists in the valley who can measure how eyes are tracking. She has a number of tools to improve eye health that other vision offices cannot offer. Well some time has pasted and guess what my son still has no sports goggles. This doctors office repeatedly tried to blame Bolle (the manufacturer of the sports goggles) for the issues we had with shipping and etc. Now we are at a standstill on getting my son his goggles because there is no lab here that can put an RX in the lens. Why this office didn't bother telling me that at the time I ordered them is absurd. The are the only Bolle retailer in the east valley. So despite ordering RX goggles no RX can be put on these lenses. I still stand by my original star rating of this office but I do agree that working with Bolle is a pain as they described to me, at least they got that right. read more

Excellent Eye Doctor. Dr. Geiger takes a different approach to optometry and vision. My son had strabismus since he was 1 year old and was unable to see 3D images, he was experiencing crowding where he could not see the letters in the center of a series of letters. He had gone to multiple eye Drs and other than patching, they had no solutions. Dr Geiger has a variety of eye exercises and methods that she used and by the end of our time with Dr Geiger, he could see 3D, crowding was gone and his strabismus has improved dramatically. I was so thankful. It really was like a miracle how his vision improved. My son and I really enjoyed her as a person too. She is kind, caring and just a wonderful person! Dr. Geiger really understands children and their vision needs. My son has had vision therapy 3 times in the past. This will be his 4th time. I am confident that he will succeed. I observed the vision therapy session today. She has a variety of innovative state of the art, cutting edge techniques to solve his issues. I was here to get a second opinion as his prescription from another dr was clearly incorrect and causing him headaches. I have being receiving treatment for my impaired vision and Neuro-vision rehabilitation since November 2020. Dr. Manisha Geiger is an amazing provider and is continually working with me to recover as much as possibility can. Dr. Geiger is thorough, caring and Andee who is also an essential part of my rehabilitation. Is always retraining my ocular motor skills and working intensively with me to help reconnect my optic nerves to enable my eyes and brain to process information in accordance to what I see. I have sustained severe neuro and brain trauma. Dr. Geiger and Andee has help improve my vision considerably and with continuous ongoing treatment, I am confident of achieving 80% restoration of my vision. As for the front of office. The front office at Optimum Vision and Eyecare provided lazy and terrible service. I contacted them prior to even making an appointment to confirm that my eye insurance would be accepted. I was told that they Did accept my Insurance without any reservations or additional questions being asked. The appointment took an exhaustive 2 hours, which ended in a strange conversation at the front desk as they could not verify our Insurance. The front office called me back a few days later after looking into my Insurance further and discovered that they did not take my Insurance after all and asked how I planned to pay $95 for an excessively long appointment that ultimately did not result in my daughter getting the eye glasses that she needs as they really didn't utilize my Insurance after all. I cannot pay for all of this out of pocket. I feel very misled. This was a waste of everyone's time and my money. The Service is awful at Optimum Vision and Eyecare. If they can't do their due diligence in the front office, then why bother...? read more

Disappointing experience today at Optimum Vision and Eye Care. I came into the office with my paperwork already filled out as a new patient eager to support a local female business owner. The eye exam itself was fine, but I felt a shift in energy from Dr. Geiger when I told her I did not see any frames that interest me in her office. As I walked out the exam room back into the lobby I noticed she did not say anything along the lines of "have a nice day" or "thank you for coming in" or "look forward to seeing you again". But, what really sealed the deal for me NOT to patronize this business again in the future was being misquoted the price for the exam. I was told the day before when I booked the appointment that my out of pocket expense would be $105 with no insurance. When I checked out the young man at the front desk (I assume the doctor's son) said the invoice was $145 because my eyes were dilated. Why was this additional charge not shared when I booked the appointment or during the visit???? The son went and talked to the doctor about this miscommunication and it was lowered to $130. I am currently unemployed due to a COVID-19 layoff, which was on my paperwork, but I was willing to pay for the pricey exam because I want to support local businesses especially during the pandemic and also I wanted to be in an environment with less foot traffic for health precautions. However, I left the office feeling overcharged and not valued as a new patient because I did not buy glasses. I'm sure Dr. Geiger is a fine doctor overall, but just not a good fit for me... someone who values genuine customer service and clear communication. Respectfully, I had a substantially better experience than another reviewer. A few days ago, I volunteered to take an "older than me" person to OVEC. Like a lot of Scottsdale Medical malls, this one's layout and design made it difficult to find the Doctor's office. Fortunately, a front office staff member saw our distress, and without prompting, rushed to help us. With a surprising amount of eagerness for a typical Scottsdale 105 degree day, the team member escorted us from one locale to another; and, as if we were family members, Jillian introduced us to the proper person. This young lady's kindness set the stage for what proved to be a very thorough exam by the doctor. Overall, Jillian's kindness and the doctor's efficiency were worthy of five stars. read more

There are absolutely no words to describe how amazing I believe Dr. Geiger and her team are! I've been struggling with significant vision issues for 3+ years that have caused me to need special prisms. It also has caused me to be in the care of an amazing Neuro-Ophthalmologist for more than a year who recently recommended I see Dr. Geiger for more specialty optometry care. I could not be any more thrilled!!! Dr. Geiger is AMAZING! She has not only fitted me with much better reading/computer prism glasses, but has fit me with progressives that no one thought possible! One of those times that you wish you read the reviews more carefully and trusted your gut on the first visit! Front desk staff is incredibly rude, clueless, and deceptive. The doctor herself is so friendly and appears well intended, but now I am realize she is incredibly dishonest with the fees. She snuck in so many extra costs that were ridiculous - a 50.00 charge for a tiny paper journal and a pencil with a string, and when asked, it was brushed off as "materials" and a implication that more was to come, that certainly I was not paying 50.00 for a a few sheets of paper and a pencil. Then, we worked so hard to schedule something with the actual doctor as she was honest saying that her therapist is not a certified vision therapist. She understood why, with the amount she charges, we do not want even a supervised assistant to do the work...we want someone who is trained and licensed to do the work we are paying to receive for my son. We did a few sessions in a small group, but he got little to no attention from the actual doctor/therapist. So, we finally had a day and time that worked with the actual doctor, and we even called to confirm and received a confirmation. I pulled my child early from school, as I agreed to do weekly for the appointments - which would be well worth it to get our appointment done each week before I needed to get my other children from school. We got there 5 min early, did not even get a "hello" from the front desk lady. My 9 year old has better manners and more common sense regarding customer service and commented immediately on how rude the lady was. We waited and waited and waited. Once it was 15 minutes past the appointment start time, I asked the lady if she knew when the doctor would be ready. She rudely said, "whenever she is done." I explained that I would need to leave soon to get my other children and that our appointment was supposed to begin 15 minutes ago. She was SO rude, said something along the lines of "well she will get to you when she is done, thats the way it is." We were not a walk in client - we had an appointment! I pushed and asked how much longer, and her response was, "20 or so minutes maybe." WHAT?? She was maybe going to be ready for our appointment at the time that our appointment is supposed to end? With no advance notice, no call beforehand explaining they were running behind? Then, get this, no apology at all!! Then the doctor called me the next day and was mildly apologetic, but did not seem to grasp that our time is valuable too and that this caused us to miss a week of treatment. She also then went back on her word and said she could not commit to that time herself, but could have an assistant there to do the therapy with my child - which is not what I agreed to when we did the several hundred dollars of evaluations a few weeks prior! So essentially I just handed them my money for nothing! I would ask if they have any integrity, to refund my materials fee and the fees that were part of the evaluation that were not covered by insurance...especially as they were added very deceptively. What is ironic is that we were relatively happy with another vision therapy place the previous year, but after a break, decided to try this office only because the other office seemed a bit disorganized in billing and the doctor seemed a bit cold. Now, comparing, the other place was a gem compared to this! The therapist there had 10 or more years of experienced as a licensed therapist and our appointment ALWAYS started on time! read more

Dr. Geiger and her staff are amazing! The staff is extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable. This is my first experience (in 32 years of wearing glasses) where someone didn't just say "go pick out some frames you like". They stood next to me and showed me frames that would work to center my eye and for maximum ability to see. They showed me various frames and price points and were truly interested in my happiness and not trying to upsell me the entire time. The frames were reasonably priced as well. Also, (first time ever) they took more measurements of my eye to the glasses than ever! I have never had someone spend so much time "fitting" my eye to the glasses. Amazing service and knowledge. They also have a cute playroom that my toddler loves. If you are looking for real service, a doctor that takes their time with her patients and professional staff, this is your doctor.
