I had a great experience with Odd Job Larry! I have a shed that has needed a new roof and service doors for years Not a top priority, but always on my to-do list. This year, I decided to follow thru with finding someone that was capable of doing both I contacted James to provide me with a quote. They had two guys working on the roof and two different guys installing to doors. Each of them were exceptional, the work provided was outstanding! I had barn doors installed in my home. The work that was completed was poorly done. The work was not completed as described in the estimate. The doors were not installed correctly (installed backwards) and could not be fixed as holes for the track system were drilled on the doors. The install of the track (which I purchased and I also built the doors myself) cost $1,400, which is approximately $200 per hour. The men that were sent to complete the job did had no experience installing a double door track system. They did not measure or drill properly, hit a live wire and ultimately had to cut a half inch off my doors to get the job done. The work should have been redone properly and although some of my concerns were addressed, the damage to my walls and the backwards installation of my doors were not fixed. I will not be working with Odd Job Larry in the future. Be sure to ask about experience of the workers completing your job and get a second estimate. read more

We used OJL to do some landscaping and tree trimming/removal and had the trim replaced on our garage last fall. I wasn't pleased with the work or service at the time; they failed to remove two trees that were written in the estimate and the man who did the trim work showed up several hours late without apology and didn't bring any supplies to do the job, was overall cranky and rude. We weren't given a day or time for the landscaping to be done, they showed up without calling and scared the babysitter. The reason why I'm writing the review now is that the trim is barely a year old and is now popping off. Not sure what they did wrong but it seems it should have been done well enough to last longer than one year. read more

Kitchen renovations are an extreme inconvenience. OJL made my experience bearable. They sent daily and weekly updates so I'd know what work would be done and who would be in my home. They provided a temporary sink. Anyone who's had their kitchen demo'd will understand the importance of a temporary sink. OJL completed the work within the estimated time frame given at the start of the job. I'm happy with my kitchen and received numerous compliments from family and friends. read more

we messaged back and forth via angies list, showed up on time. but was told he cant give a quote. needed mason. 2 weeks pass was told mason looked at it estimate coming. 2 weeks pass get call/text quote estimate is done will be emailed in 3 days... its 4 days and more than a month later waiting for a quote... very poor customer service. read more

Odd Job Larry has very professional staff who walked me through the steps of my bathroom remodel. If there was any changes made to the original work that was performed they contacted me before they did the work. The staff always had pleasant demeanor and the work they did was first class. I tasked them with turning a half bathroom into a small full bathroom off of my master bedroom, and the job they did made the bathroom look phenomenal. I think the pricing was good for the quality of work I received, and the quotes and contractual paperwork was very thorough and informative. Odd Job Larry does not take short cuts with their jobs so they believe in doing everything professionally and orderly with drawing permits to passing inspections. The work performed at our business office was well above average. The gentlemen that were doing the work were friendly, and to be honest, presentable! Other companies that do repair work all seem to fall under the same category when it comes to attire and dress, but these guys were dressed appropriately. Well I tried to hire odd job Larry and called and made an appointment to fix leak around vent stack. Jim called on the day of appointment and said he wasn't going to make the appointment because he didn't have a ladder to get up on the roof. He asked if I could send him pictures. If I could take pictures of the leak I would fix it. The only reason I wanted to hire odd job Larry is because I'm afraid of heights and will not go on the roof. Then he quoted me without looking at the job 300 to 400 dollars. That's just a cop out for not wanting to do the job. A waste of time. read more

Estimated a job for 5 hrs. @ $80/hr. The handman arrived @ 8:30 a.m. and was done by 10:00 a.m., but still charged me $450!!!!

Professional, courteous, prompt, eloquent, excellence in action!!! After a nightmarish encounter with a different contractor, with a bath remodel, these gentlemen are a breath of fresh air! If all contractors were as these men are, contractors would not have the unsavory reputation they sometimes have. We had several different projects with Odd Job Larry, one of which was fixing the former, unsavory contractors mess. They did a fabulous job, even pointing out tiny areas I didn't see, that needed touch up during the project's final walk through! They promptly put any touch ups on the schedule, came when they said they would, worked fast and with amazing diligence! I love it! I am planning our next project list as I type.
