Came for a small concert and had a FANTASTIC time! Had a few slices from the pizza place next door and drinks from the Oddfellows bar. The only reason I'm giving 4 starts is I felt they could have been just a little more generous on the pours ... but otherwise it was fantastic service wit out bartenders remembering most of out orders on the open tab. The concert itself was a whole mood downstairs in the "Neon Room". I'll definitely come back to chill here!! read more

The decor in here is indeed odd and really fun. I spent 10 minutes just waking around looking at all the funky art. It's definitely the best part of this spot. They take famous paintings like the Mona Lisa and give her tattoos and chains. Ive been here a few times and it's never been too crowded so it's great to sit down with friends and have a conversation. They have a pizza place connected so it's a good spot if you've been drinking a while. I don't have a good sense of what the identify of the place is or the customers they are trying to appeal to, but I've always enjoyed myself. They beer and wine selection is on the smaller side and they tend to be understaffed at the bar the few times so you have to be OK waiting on a little while. The staff is very friendly. read more

I really wanted to love this place when we walked in. One of the coolest looking places in OTR. Strong ambiance, big fan. Unfortunately, the bartenders on this Friday nights were terrible. Both seem so miserable. The woman behind the bar was phenomenal, but she left. So we were left with these two guys that would stare at you until you asked if you could order a drink. First scare was that the draft beer is so warm. I asked if I could replace my draft with a can and the bartender just looked annoyed as I walked up and when he heard my request all he did was grab the can I asked for, turn around, and hand it to me. Not a bad place, but I wouldn't come here on a big night and have big expectations. Pizza was amazing! Bar service brought everything else down. read more

Quirky, crazy and fun! Little ODD, indeed. When I entered I did not know which way to look first. So many things going on in this interior, but it all works! Lots of colors, textures, paintings, artwork etc. All from a different era. Imagine you inherit an old attic with kitch cheesy treasures and memorabilia of three generations and you decide to put it all on walls on display, welcome to ODDfellows. I like it through! Old mirrors on velvet wall pair incredibly well with neons and antique bar. One of the beer fridges looks like an old diving capsule. It's fun. But. It is actually very clean and neat. I was really afraid all this old crazy decor will be filthy and covered in stains and layers of dust, but this place is new and clean, non sticky bar and even the carpet was vacuumed! What a relief! Half of the place is Mikey's Late Slice Pizza with separate tables and incredible Last Supper Mural. It deserves its own review. The other half is a full service bar. I came on a Superbowl Sunday early, just to have a drink. Sadly, they were sold out of most of the beers. Hoooow? Whaaaat? On a Superbowl??? My husband had to change his order of a simple can of beer three times until they could locate it. Took a while, as they were checking all fridges and something 'downstairs'. Management MUST do something to improve. They didn't have a cocktail menu, cause they were 'reworking' it. So I ordered French75, cause, why not?! And the bartender delivered. It was very acceptable for this type of bar. It lacked garnish and was delivered in a stemless wine glass, bit since they were out of most beers, that was not bad. With all these hiccups, I would still come back. Every time I will probably see something new in this crazy space. Oh, important: they have a lovely patio in the back! So my husband and another couple stopped by Oddfellows last night. The guy in our group was at the bar waiting to buy the next round of drinks & he took a random picture of the bar area. He's an amateur photographer, takes pictures of rando interesting things all the time. With his phone at bar level, he snapped a shot down the length of the bar because, again, it looked like a cool shot with the lights, glowing stuff etc. The two people at the bar (who ended up barely showing in the photo) didn't complain or know the shot was taken. Because of this "atrocity", the bar manager & her coworker came over and told us this was inappropriate and we all had to get out. She gave us "5 seconds" to finish our drinks. I tried to explain that people over the age of 40 sometimes take pictures of the world around them--rather than just selfies. Apparently taking a picture in a public place is a very terrifying thing for people these days & everyone in a photo needs to be asked first. (So much for taking pics of the Reds Opening Day Parade anymore!) No one at the bar--as in the case of EVERY candid shot EVER taken in the the history of photography--knew what was going on. The bar manager threatened to call the police. (Yes. The Cincinnati Police who are busy protecting the community members of OTR, were bothered with a call from this bar manager to rescue her patrons from a picture-taking bandit. ) Also, we were curious about a couple of candid photos on one of your social media pages: Were THOSE patrons asked to have their picture taken by your staff? Needless to say, we felt weirded-out and wont be visiting Oddfellows anytime soon. Maybe the bar manager was threatened by a bunch of parents/grandparents being at the bar. She didn't need to be. ***And finally, I, myself, had more than one HARROWING experience at Oddfellows: I am pretty sure I was captured in the back of a few selfies that were taken at the bar last night. I WILL TRY AND PICK UP THE PIECES AND MOVE ON WITH MY LIFE. ***Not trying to "cancel" this bar based on one or two employees behavior. That is not our style. We don't go out much these days due to Covid but when we do, we spend a lot and we try to tip well because bar/restaurant people need it desperately these days. I just felt like they "cancelled" us and didn't let us explain. Sad state of affairs. RESPONSE TO CAITLINS REVIEW CALLING ME A "KAREN": We don't need any more "Thought Police" telling us how we are or what we're thinking. I would beg to differ with who the Karen is in this instance? I didn't bother the Cincinnati Police Department with a terrifying photographer call. I was just drinking my beer after a long week of work. We absolutely did not post the photo anywhere, although the guy I was with, texted it to a friend to get their opinion on the offensiveness. They may have posted it. Finally they did a great job with following the Covid protocol. Zero complaints there. They even reminded everyone with an announcement to wear masks if standing away from a table. read more

We went here on a Wednesday and it was nice and quiet. The bartender was sweet and served great drinks. She even let us have control of the music which was awesome. If we are ever back in Cincinnati again (which we will be), we will be visiting Oddfellows again! read more

First time! Loved the interior & there's also a patio. It's fairly large so you don't have to worry about not being able to grab a seat. It's combined with a pizza place although we didn't get to try it this time around. A little off the beaten path but great for enjoying the last bit of summer! read more

Very cool design! The place is spacious and it's good for a group. Half of the space is the bar while the other half is Mikey's Late Night Slice. It was rainy on the day that I went, but the outdoor patio in the back has a cool vibe. It wasn't too busy so one of the bar tenders gave me a tour of the basement which is in transition into becoming a speakeasy. Can't wait to see what that looks like once it opens! I've been to this bar a few times and every employee I've interacted with has always been polite and professional. The service is great, the drinks are delicious, the pizza is yummy, and the atmosphere is awesome. The main focus of the picture is a random girl. She's not "barely" in the photo. And you even admitted to her *not knowing* this picture was taken. Which definitely makes it creepy. Sounds to me like the bar manager had every reason to call your weird friend out. Y'all are adults and definitely sound like you acted like children. There's a pandemic going on and you even acknowledged how people in the service industry have been affected. Sooo you figured the best thing to do after being rightfully told to leave for being a bunch of entitled creeps is to go to Yelp and leave a bad review? That's insane to me. Very very poor experience with customer service. Would give zero stars if it were an option

I was at Oddfellows 9/18 and had a transphobic experience. I am assigned female at birth and like to dress androgynously. I was at a table with my friends, minding my business, when my friend heard a man saying that I am a "tranny." At first I didn't hear it and my friend had us move to the patio and he informed the bartender of the harassment. I left the outside table to use the bathroom and heard the man saying "that's a freak what a freak" as I am walking to the bathroom, and on the way out I hear him say "yeah that's definitely a man." I go straight to the bar and tell the bartender, again, this man is being transphobic. At this point I'm worried he's going to follow me into the bathroom and assault me. I have to use the restroom again later and this time I bring my friend with me because I'm worried he is still there- and he is. After we get out of the restroom again I ask the bartender why he isn't kicking the man out. The bartender was absolutely wasted and proceeded to YELL at me "this is my bar, I'm the bartender, I'm the fucking bartender and this is my bar." I wouldn't recommend going here if you're a woman or queer person. For a place with a rainbow sticker on the door it sure wasn't inclusive or a safe space. read more

The decor and layout deserves 5 stars but we didn't make it long enough to enjoy it. 3 of us walked in for the first time to have some food, drinks and watch the NCAA National Championship game. There were 4 people total in the bar area...2 of them just eating pizza off to the corner. 2 TVs. One was playing the game but we asked if the other tv could also be changed so we could sit where we wanted and watch. The bartender responded..."Well I don't really play sports and don't like them so...". Mind you...there were music videos playing on the other TV. P.M. Dawn to be exact. Was really looking forward to hanging out, watching the game...and ummm...spending $. I've worked in customer service and sales almost my entire career. Unfortunately the attitude of the bartender put a bad taste in our mouths and we found another spot for the night. read more

They advertise "find the hidden button and get a free drink or free champagne" and when you find the hidden button they say "oh sorry, we aren't doing that tonight, but great job on finding it." That is complete bullshit and the only reason our group went there. On top of that, they cut off someone in our group from drinking when she didn't deserve that, she was just arguing a great point to the bartender that was absolutely in the wrong. All while we were watching them take shots on shots with another group. Absolutely absurd. Would only go back to try the pizza next door. Worst service and bartenders in Cincinnati. read more

I really like this spot, nice set up. Really cool decor. Great patio. Very attentive, friendly bartenders who make good drinks, with the exception of one who says he's one of the back bar managers (his words). He should take lessons from his employees. I found him somewhat rude and lacking in personality. Almost dismissive, as though my patronage wasn't worth his time. Shame. But I'll still go again since the atmosphere is agreeable.
