Let me start by saying this place is immaculate. Every time I've ever been with my daughter, it is sparkling clean, the equipment and padding are all I'm top notch shape, the games work, and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. There are really no other places like this in the area (that I know of) and it's an awesome place to let your kid run off a bunch of energy-especially on those rainy PNW days like today! It's fun for smaller kids, I'm only reviewing the toy area and not the arcade. Here are the negs, it's dirty! The food/pizza area was never cleaned almost every table had pizza and food , napkins just messes at the tables . In over an hour no one cleaned it. There is no employees that monitor the toys so it's a free for all for the kids to run around, parents with shoes on will go on the toys, kids with shoes on go on the toys, again no employees in site. Kind of a poor man's Chuck E. Cheese. True, it is cheap, but you get what you pay for in terms of quality and cleanliness. The bathroom is gross, and the carpet in the play area and arcade could use a shampooing. Food quality was also subpar. I think I'd trust cafeteria food a little better than the stuff they served here. Definitely stick to prepackaged things if you need to buy something to eat. The play area is unsupervised, so you need to keep a close eye on your kids. Also, it's more for kids who are able to walk and run, and not for the crawlers. If you want to find a better place to bring your kids on a rainy day, there are a couple of good places in Gig Harbor that are much, much cleaner. read more

Dirty! Bathrroms are always a mess and they hardly enforce the sock rule, everything seems sticky as well. Adult wise... Games are fun and they have neat achievable prizes, with the help of an adult of course. Food is nothing short of gross each time. It is pretty cool they do Slurpee's. This place is tucked away in an almost vacant lot...The reviews all talked about how dirty and smelly this place was....Let me say this...IT WAS NEITHER! The place was very clean. There was no "weird or foul" odor throughout the place. The tables were clean (not sticky), the staff all seemed to be younger "teens" who got along well with the kids running around and screaming, the games all seemed in working order, there were two birthday parties going on at the time and we still have plenty to do without a wait. Laser tag was great fun for the amount paid, the tickets to token ratio was comparable and the noise was not out of the ordinary. We spent $40.00 and had two hours of non stop fun. Yes, this place seems out of place and definately outdated but I like the feel much better than the overly crowded franchise Chuck e Cheese. This place is awsome. The lazer tag here is so much better then anywhere Ive been before. You can see your lazers they have fog to make it easy to see them. The course is big and so cool to be playing in. Many mirrors making shooting off a reflection a fun way of hitting somebody. Each game last 10 minutes. You can play free for all or teams. So this place is something you expect to be, My brother in law got group on for this place and we went here in the morning. Kids played in the play area for 3+ hours and they were still excited to be there. I will suggest you to go early as later in the day , it gets overcrowded and kid starts loosing the interest. They don't charge us adults to watch, I have been to places just like this, and they charge usually the same price for adults as kids, and well, I would have to say that would suck it they did here. This place is AMAZING! We celebrated my daughter's birthday here and it could not have been a better day. The staff was awesome and everyone was just so wonderful. Big shout out to Kaden (spelling?) and Alyssa...so helpful, so awesome and just made the day even better. So I'm a little pissed today. Came here because my 17 year old wanted to play later tag for my birthday. I sit down at a table that was not reserved. There was a big party next to me, but the table was first come, first serve. I got booted from my table by the manager because the other party had more guests than I did. I asked them how can they boot me from a table that was not reserved and the manager said that they can. I had to go to the smaller kids are and sit for my 17 year olds party. He just wanted to play later tag. Guess the black lady gets the boot again. One thing is sure, I wont be back. Not if they can kick me off of my table like that if I was there first. Edit...so I went to the manager for her name because I was upset. She gave me the first name of "Sara." I asked for her last name, which she didn't give me. I understand, because I could be some creep. I asked for her supervisors' name and she wont tell me. I asked her who her boss was and she still wouldn't tell me. I asked who I would make a complaint to, she said to her. I then asked who i make the complaint to since she was the person I wanted to complain about and she refused to tell me. We were very pleased with the staff and facility for the Birthday party package. We had 10 kids ages 3-10, three kids under 3, and 27 adults/teens. They only charge for kids 3-10! The first hour the kids happily played in the play area from 1-2 pm. We had time to set up in the party room from about 1:30-2 with a super helpful party lady. Then the party in the room from 2-3 with pizza & cake. The party attendant kept everything moving smoothly. She handed out pizza (with food gloves) and cut and passed out cake. She made balloon animals for the kids. After the party the birthday boy got to get extra tickets & some tokens from the wind machine. The attendant came back and cleaned up with us. She was AMAZING. Our guests gave positive feedback about clean play equipment, clean bathrooms, yummy pizza and having Fun. Party officially ended at 3:30 but we stayed much later with the last group of us finally leaving at 6:30. There was no hurry. The birthday boy had an awesome day! I came a week before the event to get tokens for goodie bags I was making. I met the owner/manager who asked if I had a party and genuinely wanted to make sure everything would go smoothly. He confirmed the room and was helpful with planning extra pizza. My wife and I were here about an hour ago because the kids love it. We sat down to have food, which was terrible to begin with, and my wife didn't realize how insanely lava hot the coffee was. She ended up burning her mouth and attempted to notify the manager, but he was nothing but rude. She tried to call in and complain about the terrible customer service and was hung up on. Rented a birthday space on a saturday. since we were the first time slot of the day they let us set up early, which was great - usually I think you'd have to wait till your assigned hour . Let me start by thanking Rico and Jacob for being the best laser tag and party hosts I could think of! This is the 4th party I've been to here, and the reviews from 2015 that mentioned bad customer service were absolutely correct in 2015. But it sure has gotten better! All of that was different at my nephews birthday party today. Jacob was attentive and did everything that helps parties run smoothly, including cutting cake with this giant 2-handled knife, serving pizza, refilling drinks, and helping party-goers get excited about the birthday boy going into the ticket hurricane machine. Rico was super-fun and helped the laser tag kids and parents do a few different poses for the birthday boy's mom who was taking pictures before the lights went down and fog machine came on. The only thing i can complain about is that he helped me understand that the 32% hits on my scoreboard meant that I had been hit more than everyone. I wanted to keep bragging that even though I had the lowest points, I had the highest accuracy-lots of others had only 12%. (No one ever bothered explaining the scoreboard before that....after 4 separate visits.) Even though my ego was bruised..I can't fault Rico for that. Management-you did a good job hiring those two! You should give them a raise and do whatever you can to make similar hires! read more

Where to begin.... (Sigh) Recently hosted my daughters 11th birthday here. Prior to this, I've been here once, years ago for a play date and I remember my experience was very different. Let's start with the positives. They have a very good size jungle gym designed for ages 3 to 12 years of age. Enough crawl space and tunnels to entertain a child for hours. The play area is gated so younger children cannot leave as easy unless an adult opens the gate. They offer party packages which include tokens, jungle gym access, pizza and drinks, and laser tag for additional discounted price. I won't quote the exact cost but let's just say a party of 15 kids with laser tag will cost you less than $300 for the entire package. Package also includes a party host which will help set up, cut cake, bring food & drinks, and announcements. As for the positives I think that's all I can think of..... Now for the negatives..... First and foremost, I honestly don't remember the location of this venue to be so, let's just say "in the slums" not the best area to be in, so lock your cars and hide your valuables! Times have changed and so have their surroundings, I believe their exterior building can use cosmetic updates to look more inviting. The interior is not very cleanly and sanitized, some of the tables, and floors look like they could use some deep cleaning, along with jungle gym matts and padded floors. The staff was friendly, in a sense. But it was very hard to differentiate the employees from the children playing, meaning their staff are extremely young and still young minded. I'd say the manager looked about 17 years old and was a little awkward to do business with. Not that I'm being judgmental but I believe that uniforms should be fitting, clean, and presentable. Tuck in your shirt, pull up your pants when on the clock. While waiting for guest to arrive we ordered nachos for a snack and the chips tasted really stale, let alone the cheese displayed this odd texture that almost looked partially melted using room temperature. Bottom line, I don't recommend it. Along with the package came 3 two topping pizzas which I admit we're alright, looked very unsavory and dry but was actually quite delicious. One of the biggest FLAWS was the confusion about who is supplying the cake. We were under the impression that desert/birthday cake was to be included in the party package like all other play venue packages, of course it wasn't. Luckily there was a Fred Meyers close by and we were able to pick one up. In conclusion, package was cheap but you get what you pay for, bad service, unorganized facility, bad food, and a slight regret. Wouldn't recommend at all, and most likely will not be returning. If your looking for an awesome jungle gym party venue I suggest "Charlie Safari" in Lacey, or "Family Fun Center" in Tukwila. read more

I brought my 2 yr old daughter and 3 yr old nephew here on a Sunday afternoon and they loved it! There's an arcade on one side, the other side is where the kids area is. The kids area has a bigger kid part and a place better for toddlers. It was a little full when we went, but that's expected on the weekends. Didn't try the food, staff was nice, arcade was fun, only downside is it smells like urine when it's really full...again to be expected with a bunch of little kids. Just watch your kids closely, there were some older kids in the little kids area picking on them, but the staff does a good job of kicking them out. read more

We took our 2 year old here to play & she had a blast. We only played in the jungle gym area & we did not eat there so can only speak of that. The area was clean. It was quite crowded but it was a Sunday on a rainy day. It was super cheap to get in-only $2. There isn't a whole lot of staff supervision in jungle gym area but I believe they were under staffed that day and well frankly that is why people are supposed to supervise their own kids. It's not a daycare. For the price I would say its worth the money & a nice place to hang out on a rainy day & let your little ones stretch their legs. Recommend and will return. read more

This is my new favorite place to take my little one to play and burn off energy! LOVE IT! The jungle gym is huge and he has a blast going through all the tunnels and such. It's nice there is only one entrance/exit to the area so I can be certain LO hasn't left the area. My little guys sleeps so good after playing here for hours and he becomes super independent not needing me to "play with him" because there is so much to do in the jungle gym. I think it's great that mostly teenagers work there- that's who are best with the kids and have the ability and energy to keep up! Prices are great too and to the person saying "you get what you pay for" when paying for a party it's probably best to read what is included in the description- pretty easy to do. Ask the kids if they had a good time and I'm certain it's worth the price paid! I only wish I could buy an annual membership here! Only suggestion I have is to have a few more people working on rainy weekend days and if possible add another ticket eating machine somewhere in the arcade. read more

We decided to have my daughters bday party here last minute. Immediately upon arrival we were treated bad because we didn't book a party room. We spent a TON of money here between all of our guests but were told we were not allowed to have cake. I literally had to take my 4 year old daughter outside in the rain to show her the cake I got her and sing to her. Then at the last minute decided to sneak it in and feed all of our kids cake and say oh well if we get kicked out, party is over. This place is cleaner and has a bigger playground than Charlie Safari. I like that they have a toddler indoor playground separated from the larger play area. It also has a ball pit which is nice for the toddlers. The arcade has nice games to play for all ages. They have better selection of prizes for the kids to pick out. I haven't tried the food so that's the reason I gave it 4 stars so far. They also have baskets to put your shoes in and they place behind the front desk. Plenty of space for kid parties. read more

April 1, 2017 at approx 7:15: Had a birthday party for a group of about 20. Had pizzas ordered but wanted to add an additional 3 large pizzas and when told to the non-uniformed employee (the guy seem he was in charge) he became very rude for some reason. Dont understand why he acted like this. Shouldnt treat a guest like this especially when spending money at this establishment. Also a few of my guest wanted salad, so i ordered 5 salad at the food counter. The girl( young girl with glasses) that was making our salads; i notice she would use the the pen cap (the long skinny part) to unclog the salad dressing container/dispenser whenever the salad dressing got clogged which is very unsanitary because she would place the pen cap by the sink(harbor germs/viruses). She did this numerous times. This should be reported!!! Also many of the machine didnt dispense tickets that were won and threw out "HLP" so when we try to get our tickets the person would give us attitude. Dont get me wrong the kids had fun and the birthday room(she) host was nice and accomodating but the two other employees ruin it for me and should need better training especially the employee that handles food. "meh" about sums it up - the floor and playcenter equipment-thing were pretty icky, and the party room we'd been in had definitely seen better days. Food was a bit suspicious, and in terms of supervision it was a bit of a free for all. If you have smaller kids you'll definitely want to keep them close to avoid bigger unruly kids. I'm giving it two stars instead of one based on the cost - if you are on a budget then this might be a good option but the a la carte charges add up quickly. For the money (a little over $20 for three kids, no time limit), this is a really good place for children to play on a rainy day. There's only one way in and out, so they can't escape, either. The worse experience ever in life. We did not book a party for my 10 year old as we were never able to get through. So we saw that there is first come first serve. So we showed up and it was super empty. Saved a few tables set up for our party and paid for 15 kids for laser tag, 6 pizzas, 4 pitchers of drink and and the cost to play in the play area. First off the credit card machine was down. ok. Then we go to the ATM and can only take out $80 with a $3 fee... after 4 trips to the ATM and my dad as well it ran out of money. When asked of the manager how can we pay for another round of laser tag I was told ...the machine is down and some cards are accepted and some are not. Like where do they do that at. Not to mention our kids shoes were hi-jacked to ensure we paid for the play area. Kinda shady but ok!! Finally after complaining about it we were offered a refund of the 1st round of tag. 8 hours ago this would have been a one star review. However, after working through some things it's become a 3 for us. We made reservations for our daughters birthday about a month and half ago from today for December 8. We paid the $50 deposit and were told we were in room 3 from 1130-130. We showed up today 25 minutes early and we weren't on the list for having a party today. Turns out they scheduled the party for Dec 8 2019. After an almost complete panic because 15 kids were on the way, we were squeezed into a room in the back half the size and our times were changed to 11-1 because they had to squeeze us in-between a party. The communication that occurred after that was chaotic, the pizza mediocre, the pretzel soggy, and we were being kicked out of our room in the middle of cake for the incoming party. There was 15 minutes of play time followed by pizza, cake, and presents, followed by more play time, and a lot of back and forth. Something I would call disorganized. What made this 3 stars and not one is the young man at the front counter that realized the mistake and stuck with us the whole time. Served pizza, set up the room, cut the cake, and tried as hard as he could to take care of my daughters birthday and salvage what he could. Even if she didn't get her birthday crown until we were leaving. Will we be back? Probably not. But for the disaster it could have been, they tried to recover the best they could. I was there celebrating my granddaughters birthday. I was definitely surprised at how unprofessional the girl assigned to our group. My daughter was in the bathroom and overheard her complaining about having to do the party today. It seems as though she had partied too much the night before. And some other issues. It was just very unprofessional. I have been using Odessey 1 for years to host the birthday parties and never had any complaints. I am very disappointed about the level of service. We had a great time here for my daughters 5th birthday. It was a Tuesday so we didn't have her party here. We came to celebrate with just our little family. It doesn't look like anything special on the outside but inside is a world of fun for the little ones. We didn't use the jungle gym area. We just did the arcade games and laser tag. Laser Tag was only 13$ for 3 of us for 2 games each. Not bad! Definitely beats the cost of family fun center in Tukwila. The arcade area however doesn't beat FFC. There was a small section of games but they had some newer games like fruit ninja, deal or no deal and Kung fu panda. Prize selection was limited but I did think the prices were good. Mermaid Barbie (knock off) was only about 500 tickets. Not bad? Also the course for the laser tag was pretty small. Not as large as FFC. They said there were bases to shoot and destroy.
