I visited here upon a birthday invitation for my son's friend, so I can only comment on my time here as a guest. His friend's family reserved a private room for the birthday event, and I was thankfully able to locate it with the assistance of an employee. The service seemed decent. Orders were taken at a timely manner with food quickly being brought out and serving plates/trays cleaned up promptly once everyone was done grabbing food from the table. I really liked the cleanliness and décor of the place. Has a calming ambience with all the ocean vibes. I was not expecting duckpin bowling (I didn't do any research before coming here) but it seems ideal for a casual time. No one was really taking the bowling seriously since it was more of an event to get together, eat, and chat, so the duckpin bowling is good for all the kids to just bowl for fun and all the adults to chatter in between. I had some pizza, it was good enough (not cheesy enough for my preference but the taste was adequate). A fun time overall. The 2 stars are only because the staff was nice and the place is clean. However if you have ever bowled before, DO NOT come here. This is the fakest bowling alley to ever exist, everything is wrong. Came here to practice my bowling technique and it is impossible to do. Here is a list of things I wish I knew before coming: 1. Pins on strings. Not my preference- still manageable but makes for a different experience. 2. When booking online, it says shoe rentals included. There were no shoes. Make sure you wear shoes you feel comfy bowling in. It will affect your game. 3. Lanes are not oiled or properly marked!!!! This is the most important part of bowling otherwise you are just shooting blind. The balls were just going every which way regardless of how good your throw was!! 4. The space before the lane was wayyy shorter than a standard bowling alley making it impossible to do a proper approach!!! It took a whole game to adjust. I'm sure this place is fine to come for the arcade, laser tag, or other activities. But if you are expecting real bowling, you won't find it here!!! read more

The presentation looked good. But it took 42 minutes to come out to the table. It took us having to ask about the food to have it come out. Then the server preceded to warn us about the skillet being extremely hot. Unfortunately the fries were absolutely cold and the dip was lukewarm warm while the skillet wasn't even hot to touch. I would not recommend this place for any food. But there is laser tag, arcade, bowling, and other things instead of food. We went there with a large group, I had never been before for bowling or comedy night and we did both, we use the mini bowling room which is a private room with bartenders assigned to our room and it was outstanding! We had so much fun bowling with these mini balls and pins! It was reasonably priced because there were so many people to share the cost; perfect for a birthday party or work event! The food was delicious! I ordered a mule for my drink and it was on the weak side for sure, like didnt notice any alcohol, so that was kind of a bummer. Came here from Panama with my granddaughter to watch the Super Bowl and play games. We sat at a bowling lane then decided to bowl. They said we were not supposed to sit at the lane if we are not bowling. Mind you they have 16 lanes and at the time only one other lane was being used. And, we were sitting at the only non-functioning lane. The TVs by the lames the words go either the visual. Just crazy to shoo people away when they aren't busy at all. read more

Originally having ventured over the bridge for another bowling location, two spots (Puyallup and Federal Way) were either completely filled due to leagues or had a 45 minute wait time for a lane. I drove back over to Gig Harbor and met my friend at Ocean5 for duck pin bowling. The atmosphere when you walk in is upbeat and playful. There is laser tag and an arcade area to one side, and the bowling lanes to the other side. It's connected with Table47 and I believe the food you order comes from there. My friend and I shared the pretzel bites with cheese, pretty good for a quick bite. We were able to play two and a half games of duck pin bowling between two people. The pins were having issues with resetting toward the end, but the staff were great in helping us reset the pins and even gave us some extra time to bowl. Now that I know this is on my side of the bridge, I'm going to regular this game spot! read more

The fog solution has been ordered. We would love for you to come back when it arrives. Thank you for your thoughtful feedback." The laser tag arena was clean and the equipment seemed to work well. What was a HUGE disappointment and detracted from our experience was there was no fog. Without the fog it was MUCH easier to see and find each other. When I mentioned that it wasn't on and we should be compensated to come back again when things are all working, my request was ignored and I was told they have been out of the fog juice for months and haven't gotten any. As a consumer that is NOT my problem and I should get the experience I paid for. read more

Also a restaurant attached with a bar area near the bowling alley. Unfortunately the lanes are pretty narrow and you'll have to share with other parties (normal) but the couches face each other and puts you in each others spaces a lot. Came here with friends and our young kids for my birthday and had so much fun. I loved that I didn't need to put on ill-fitted bowling shoes. The food was great, I have a dairy allergy and was able to customize the flat bread (we did the mushroom with truffles with light dairy free cheese). The hummus was really delicious and recommend above all. And my kids like the French fries. We then switched to laser tag. Smelled like cleaner in there with a hint of sweat and slight essence of pee (but I'm a sensitive flower so take that with a grain of salt). We lost three times but lost the last (and obviously most important) round. Overall, the place was really clean and felt nice to be there. Would come back and kick some teenagers butts in laser tag again (but just for one round because I am now old and tired) read more

What a fun place! Had a party of 8 ages ranging from 9 - 65. We played Duck pin bowling & laser tag and had so much fun! The kids and adults laughed bed the Laser Tag. They also have Top Golf suites we are going to check out on our next visit. Staff were especially helpful and polite. Have to call Genevieve and Savion for their excellent customer service! The explanations were clear, the "battle rooms" were spacious and easy to navigate, and even the 5-year old mastered the techniques. We didn't even know this option existed in Gig Harbor, so we were glad a friend introduced us. The building is very modern, not really giving "arcade and bowling alley" vibes, which I guess is a good thing? :) We had coffee in the cafe to start our visit, and it was pretty good (cookies were even better):) We played a few games in the arcade, and that was enjoyable enough (until a couple of them didn't work - which is always a bummer). We weren't really interested in bowling, knowing that they utilize a "string pin" system - not our preference, but the space looked fun (with large screens and plenty of comfortable seating). We'd like to try the laser tag at another visit, but this initial introduction to the space was a decent one (though we were admittedly hoping for a bit more). Short version: staff was friendly, food was decent, bowling was awful. My husband and I visited for the first time on Super Bowl Sunday and we were ready for some potential craziness. To our pleasant surprise, that atmosphere was great and the staff were super friendly and relaxed. We ordered snacks to our bowling lane (chicken karaage and pretzel bites) and they were decent and came out pretty quick. You can conveniently scan a QR code and order on your phone with Apple Pay, and they'll deliver it right to your lane, which was nice. The bowling set up at Ocean5 is unlike anything I've experienced, and not in a good way. The pins are connected to clear cords attached above, so after your first throw, the pins are all raised and the ones that you didn't hit are lowered again for your second throw. What ended up happening for us was that the system wasn't accurately registering which pins we actually hit, so it was almost like it didn't matter what we bowled because the scoring was random. I would guess that it was wrong at least 30-40% of the time. We're not "serious" bowlers, by any means, but we like friendly competition and it became frustrating to get a strike and have it recorded as 0, or to get awarded with a spare even when we missed one or two pins. With 15 minutes left of our reservation we even decided to leave early because we didn't see the point in continuing. I understand that they aren't necessarily focused only on bowling, so I wasn't expecting an extremely fancy bowling alley. But for $50 per hour I did expect the system to work, at minimum. Also, having bowled in other alleys, we felt like the space was fairly tight. There was another group of 5-6 other adults in the lane next to us, and it felt very cramped. We were definitely maneuvering to make sure that we didn't run into each other. Overall we would not pay to bowl here again, but it's not a bad place to hang out. read more

We've been here a few times since it opened and have always been impressed with this facility. What a beautiful venue. It's huge with outstanding service and just a really cool environment. The tap list is great and the food is tasty. Last night we went to the comedy show and absolutely loved it. This is a perfect place to go on a date night or to take the family. It's big enough and sectioned so that there are adult areas and also a lot of family fun activities that allow you to make the choices of whatever you're after. read more

The experience you get from visiting Ocean 5 is quite novel. There is a restaurant, an arcade, laser tag, bowling, coffee, and spacious catering spots for both big and small party events. While the Table 47 and Ocean 5 businesses are almost one in the same and they are separate business that offer different services. Note there are areas that are designated for full restaurant, arcade, bowling alley, laser tag, and coffee. Regardless of the ask, all services and staff are there to happily help you throughout your entire stay. Prices at Ocean 5 (and/or Table 47) are on the higher end of the spectrum. All the aforementioned services do come with a substantial price tag. Is it worthy? The answer is yes, the price for each of the services does show in the quality of service you receive. Parking is shared with other businesses, however it is easy to find a parking spot since the shopping center has a sizeable parking area. The interior of the business seems (and almost feels) like a mini amusement park - arcade to the left, coffee/food/bar to the right, and bowling in the back. If you are looking to have a good time this is the place to go for events, parties, lounging, and dates! Be careful though, the prices stack quick if you are not careful! read more

Such an awesome place. We went here for a birthday party, and it must be a popular destination because make a wish foundation was also hosting an event as well. There is so much room in this area. Literally something for everyone. From laser tag, to duckpin bowling, array of food menu and drink selections. I could not believe the amount of video games and interactive games there were offered. Whether you are 7 or 70, there is something for you here. I read that it is the only duckpin bowling alley on the west coast, which makes it an exceptional activity and one of a kind party. Our friends had ordered so much food and my favorite was the crab macaroni and cheese and chicken arugula flatbread. I will most likely come back just for the Mac and cheese and to play another round of duck pin for my one year old! He loved it read more

Nice bowling alley in general. Getting someone on the phone is extremely difficult if you have questions. The bowling area is excessively muggy and hot. While we bowled we were sweating. Had they had any sort of central air I would give another review. There's no reason it should be that hot. read more

Not your old bowling alley you are used to! Not only is it beautiful but it smells fresh too! They bring shoes and balls right to your lanes to fit you, and from there you bowl! As you bowl they will bring you food and drinks right to your lane and it's not just any food. It's amazing food. Try the sloppy joe dip. You won't be disappointed! Extremely disappointed tonight with the rock n bowl. Lane wasn't working sporadically. Pins resetting during the 3rd turns. Scores made no sense. The dj was awful. I appreciate the manager refunding us but nothing else was done and this was definitely a night killer. We came here for my nephews birthday at the end of 2019 and I was obsessed from the moment we got there. I'm a kid at heart when it comes to arcades and bowling alleys so I was hyped more than most I'm sure. Duck pin bowling is different than your normal bowling alley because the ball is about 1/3 the size and the pins are small as well. I don't recall the balls have any holes in them either. We played several games and then had lunch in their restaurant. The food was really good and they handled our large group with ease. Great fun if you're not too serious about bowling. I say this because the pins are on strings and the setup is pretty bad at keeping accurate score. Like if a pin falls "too slowly" it won't be counted. This is also the first bowling alley I've been to that allows street shoes, and it turns out that bowling in grippy boots is a little awkward. I think they do have shoes for rent, but we just made do for the novelty. The facility is not very large with maybe 10 lanes, but they also have laser tag and an arcade that was very popular with the kids. We were here for an adult friend's birthday and stuck to bowling which we thankfully reserved in advance (recommended!). 2 hours, 2 lanes, 10 friends, and I think it came out to a reasonable $20 per person total. That doesn't include food and drink, of course. They do have a really decent menu. Ordering was super easy by QR code and done individually so you don't need to keep tally of friends' orders. The Northwest Mule was really nice, and the fish sandwich was big enough that I had to share it. The host was also available to answer any menu questions or troubleshoot lane issues. Everything felt fairly new and clean. Would definitely come back again. read more
