Fantastic experience! Wanted to try SUP for a while and found this place via a Living Social…read morepromotion. Made a reservation for 4th of July weekend a few weeks in advance. The excursion is for about two hours of paddle boarding, but we were advised to be there 15-30 minutes before to prep. We needed time to apply sunblock and put all of our non-waterproof items in the car. We were told that if you don't want it wet, then don't bring it on the board with you. I checked in at the front desk with Eric and signed a standard waiver, then waited for our guide to round us up. Our group of three, along with another couple, were escorted to a dock area by SUP guide Laurel. Laurel was pretty cool-very chill, patient lady, great personality, and a kind teacher. We were fitted for a single adjustable paddle size, then on to the boards to paddle ourselves into nature. It was so helpful to have Lauren guide us on how to get on/off the board and how to start off balancing the right way. We also received instructions on how to row, turn, and backup using the paddle. We journeyed up the New Smyrna North Causeway towards the drawbridge. We spotted many Dolphins along the way and breezed past waterfront homes, small islands, and some boats and other paddle boarders. Sometimes we got fatigued and took short breaks by sitting or kneeling on the board while we continued to paddle forward. We had a paddling break by the North Causeway bridge on a sandbar. Laurel took some photos and provided us with water from her cooler. After that we went forward on the loop course towards the dock where we started off. Some important things-you may need water shoes, depending on your tolerance of having your feet in an intracoastal waterway. Don't bring anything that cannot be submerged in water. Put on sunblock and bring sunglasses. Consider wearing a hat and just a swimsuit. It feels very liberating in swimwear, just hanging out in nature somewhat scantily clad. Bring cash to tip your guide well. Also you can buy the photos of your experience on a thumb drive for $30 at the end. I really can't wait to try this again, maybe next time unguided. It felt so free and fun to glide on the water, this could be my new favorite hobby! Great day out.

Pontoon boats was never my vibe but being on the water is something we enjoy. When we got to the park to pick up the boat we were greeted by Drew on the water. He's a nice guy and very helpful. He made sure everything was set up for us to ride and we felt confident with our rental. He shared with us our options where we could ride and recommended a great spot for us to drop anchor and swim. Spent 4 hours on the water and it was awesome! We swam and just hung on the boat. The kids had a blast jumping off the back of the boat into the water. Pick up and drop off was really simple. We were a group of 10 and we all felt comfortable and had plenty of room on the boat. On our ride we saw dolphins, manatees and deer. When we dropped anchor, we saw fish and crabs on the beach. As a plus the kids enjoyed driving the boat with me. I know the memories will last forever with the kids and myself. If you never drove a boat it is simple to drive. Well worth the experience and look forward to future rentals!

Recently visited Ormond beach after a long time away. My…read morelast complaint was about the park, but they luckily have taken it out and put a splash pad there for kids to enjoy, which is so wonderful. I feel like more and more people are starting to realize Ormond Beach is better than Daytona so the parking lot is more packed. Overall, we still had a great trip. I love the sand on this coast. It's coarse and darker in color. And for being so close to New Smyrna I can never find shark teeth.

We were greeted by the captain, a very funny and knowledgeable man. Once we are seated he goes over the safety rules. The boat sails off and we go out an hour away. Throughout this ride the captain shares the history of the area, facts about wildlife and his funny jokes! As you can see by the pictures I uploaded it is definitely a sight to behold. We saw native birds, beautiful eagles, turtles and yes lots of alligators! After we arrived back we had dinner at Blackwater Inn again a magnificent ending to the day. I highly recommend this tour, makes for a great date or nice way to spend the day. Fee is worth it $25 per person.

The price is 25.00 per person which isn't a bad price. The boat is clean and in good shape and even has a bathroom on board. The trip lasts 2 hours and is packed full of humor and facts about the st. Johns and Florida in general. I learned a whole bunch of things I never knew and I've lived in Florida for 35 years. We saw alligators, birds, manatees, and local flora and fauna. We saw several bald eagles and even went into an alligator nest with 20 / 30 babies scurrying around. The whole experience was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone interested in two hours of humor and interesting facts about Florida.
