Ended up purchasing a 150$ package for three 60 minutes massages as I enjoyed the massage I had here. I would highly recommend coming here. It's not a spa, so if you are looking for that this isn't the place for you. However, the massage they did on me was great. I would highly recommend. Kind of hard to find as it's on the end in a strip plaza, so if you drive too fast you'll pass it! So far I've had a couple of great experiences at Odyssey. Although my first massage wasn't as expected, I did end up having a great experience with Cassandra last time. Today I got there 10 min late and Jenny was unable to give me a massage, but Ms. V took over and did a great job. She helped get those kinks out from my back and conversed, but wasn't like some other massage therapists who have talked nonstop during my session, which was also great! My partner and I had come here for massages a few months prior, after purchasing a Groupon, and both enjoyed our experiences, although for my 1st massage here with Jenny I was draped rather unconventionally with just a small towel (no sheet or blanket to cover me.) I'm not modest so it didn't bother me that much and I did not complain, however I did get a little cold towards the end and I did feel unnecessarily exposed. I would prefer a full drape. We returned yesterday for a second trip. For this experience I had requested deep tissue, and my therapist launched right into deep hip stretches without warming up the tissues at all beforehand. The work she performed was adequate but there was no soothing stroking of the muscles and no compressions at all during the hour long service, just deep tissue manipulation and deep stretching. I would prefer my body to be at least warmed up with hot towels or a heat pack before this type of work is performed so I don't risk receiving an injury. My other complaints were that the room had an odd smell- kind of musty- and it was not fully prepared for my arrival. There was no face rest cover on the table when I lay down on it, and I had to wait lying on my side, until she returned to be able to get comfortable. After I told her I was also a massage therapist but I usually prefer not to disclose this while receiving massage (due to being treated differently from a typical client) she proceeded to talk shop with me for the duration of my service. I left the massage feeling very agitated and like I'd just been through the ringer. Not a relaxing experience at all. All in all I would say that this is not a place I can recommend. One positive was that they were able to accommodate my partner same day, as I had originally made the appointment only for myself. read more

These ladies are the real deal! I first stopped in with a massive migraine and in major pain. It was later in the day and I didn't expect anyone to be able to see me that day. I thought I was done for and would have to suck it up for the night in pain. But Jenny picked up and gave me a wonderful massage, cleared up my crazy headache, and helped my pain flare-up - I had the best sleep that night! Quick backstory on me - I have had chronic pain since I was a little girl. Over years of being misdiagnosed as a million things, I finally was properly diagnosed with Lyme Disease about 6 years ago. I have dealt with chronic pain that no treatment rarely EVER helps. Lyme Treatment helped with many of my symptoms, but pain is still a huge problem for me. Chiropractic and massage are the only things that have relatively helped me in my pain. Since I found Jenny, Cassandra and her team, my pain has been helped immensely. With my chronic pain issues, they all teamed up and paired me with each of the therapists to see if we could find what really helped my pain and what clicked. Worst Experience During Covid - I bought a groupon for Odyssey Massage at 42nd St and Indian School in Phoenix. Went for my appointment today and thought it odd that there was no sign on the door to wear a mask, but ok. Went into the small reception area and the women behind the sliding window had a mask hanging from her ear but was not wearing it. She asked for my groupon and I thought by the time I looked up again, I was sure she would put her mask on, but no. I asked about her wearing the mask and she didn't answer. I didn't want to get too close to her so I placed my phone with the code on the window sill but it fell on her side. I said I'm sorry - and she looked at me and angrily said, "did you just throw your phone at me and why are you standing so far away from me?" I explained that she wasn't wearing a mask and I didn't want to get too close. She told me she didn't need to wear a mask while she was standing there and if I was uncomfortable I could leave, so I did. She was the massage therapist! read more

Thanks Jenny! :) Here's the thing, this massage was excellent, distracting, uncomfortable, and was over 10 minutes shy of being 90 minutes. I bought a Groupon for a 90 min massage. Jenny was my therapist. She came in after I arrived, with her lunch. The lady at the front desk showed me to the room and told me to give the therapist a couple minutes to eat.... Okay, no problem. However, it was more than a few minutes but whatever. I laid on the table, and I think that table has probably seen better days and the people that work there must know it's not that comfortable because there was a foam pad on it under the blankets. When I went to put my head on the face holder thingy, it almost fell off. That made me laugh but it should probably be fixed. When Jenny came in, she went to put some music on, on her personal cell phone... She used Pandora and the music was not relaxing, but whatever. The ads were very distracting and annoying, again whatever. You could tell she was getting over some illness because she hacked and had the sniffles the entire time. Crap happens, again I can deal with it. The part that really bothered me is that, she was eating mints or candy during my massage. Loud chomping and cracking of the candy was incredibly annoying. Then when she was massaging my neck while I was on my back, it felt amazing, besides that fact that she was breathing in my face the whole time and later was coughing without covering her mouth. Seriously though, other than that. It was one of the best massages I've had in a long time. I'd go back, but I'd make sure it wasn't around someone's lunch time and that the person was healthy. Also, if you want a therapist who is going to drape properly and ask you what your target areas are, and what pressure you are looking for - don't go to Jenny. My friend bought me a Groupon for both of us for my birthday for this place. :) First, let me say I have had massages at many different places, from those Asian foot spas to the Hilton and the Phoenician. The massage I received from Cassandra was absolutely amazing! She has strong but gentle hands and a lot of knowledge, and took the time to ask me what kind of pressure I liked and if I had any problem areas. When I told her about my lower back that had been in pain for about 5 years and it radiated down my hip and leg, she gave me some information about what was probably causing that and how to go about treating it. She knew I had been through physical therapy, chiropractic, and to the MD several times, all to no avail. She was very knowledgeable and recommended some things to try at home to help reduce my discomfort in my back, hip and leg. When she worked on my neck, she told me that I was very tight and gave me some advice on helping that feel better at home as well. The music was pleasant and the massage was one of the best I've ever had. The hand and foot portion was heavenly! I will be back and would recommend Cassandra to anyone.
