She amended the policy saying you had to give 24 hours advance notice (understandably) & a month or so after the policy was changed I had a family emergency & couldn't make it. My daughter had a big seizure & we had to go to the hospital. I texted her as soon as I knew. Mind you, I hadn't had an issue since she updated her policy. The next week I tried to reschedule & it said I had to reach out, so I did. We talked on the phone & she mentioned the times I had to reschedule the times before she made changes to her cancellation policy. I countered with once she changed it there hasn't been a problem until I had an emergency. She proceeded to tell me I need to have child care lined up, moms deserve their time too, her mom had a special needs dependent, I could t use my daughter as an excuse.. just so far out of line. She said I could only come in if someone else cancelled last minute & I could fill in their spot. It isn't possible with 4 kids, I can't drop what I'm doing to go to someone's cancelled appointment.. I wish. The whole convo was wild & out there. I gave a two star instead of one because she is a good at massages.. it actually took me a few months to even speak on this, I was really just trying to reflect before I left a poor review.. Since I can't directly reply, I'll have to update to say you did in fact say something about my children as an excuse & I never did a same morning cancellation, it's not even possible to do on the app. The one time I had no choice I had to call/text you to cancel. I called asking if they accept walk-ins, and they do, I told them that I'd be free in a few hours, which they agreed to accommodate. I showed up and opted for the 60-minute combination massage (full body) for only $55! Amazing!!! As I was escorted to my private room, I was asked if I preferred a male or female masseuse. I appreciated this question and responded that I would prefer a female unless it would cause a wait time, in which case a male would be fine. I ended up with Lily (or maybe Lili, my apologies I couldn't hear her name well). She made sure I was comfortable, asking me if I wanted my massage at medium or hard intensity, which I chose medium. She also intermittently asked if I was feeling ok throughout the massage. Overall, the massage included: arms, back (with hot stone), thighs, calves, feet (and a hot water foot soak), some scalp/ear/temples. Note: "A surcharge of 3% will apply to all credit card payments. Alternatively, you may wish to pay by cash which will not incur a surcharge." I chose to pay for my service and tip fully in cash. I accepted a stamp card, which if you receive 10 massages you can earn +20 minutes for free. Neck, shoulders, back, legs and feet had all been impacted by the hard strenuous work in the field and having not lived here, I was looking for a therapy who could treat an out of town client in a short period of time before flying out. Southwest Wellness came up as a business who provided prompt response times which I needed and she did. I called to leave a voicemail and it said that texting would be the most time effective way to get a response which I did. After making my massage inquiry and being accepted as a client, I was on the table in a couple of hours. Sarah is an extremely pleasant individual who shows care for the individual therapeutic needs of her clients. She discusses issues and then goes right to work on them. Southwest Wellness offers 60 or 90 minutes sessions, I chose the 90 minute session. Sarah then proceeded to apply various massage techniques to my entire body. The foot reflexology is outstanding and she went through a variety of accu-pressure and stretching movements to loosen up my legs and back. Her techniques were actually able to work stubborn areas of my body that no other technician has ever been able to accomplish.
