It was relaxing, professional, and exactly what we needed after a busy day. At just $80 for an hour, it was an incredible value. Honestly, we would have paid three times that amount had we chosen the spa at the hotel, and the experience here exceeded our expectations. Nana was tiny, but mighty!!! I'm glad I read the reviews which let me know what to expect. I prefer a much more stronger massage and typically ask for men for their strength. But, Nana is a tiny lady, but she uses her body and gets up on the massage table to really work you!! She walked on my torso and on my legs, so nice!! Ouch, but the good ouch Omg, she focused on my upper back knots and got them out!! The hot rocks, hot oil, and hot towels were nice in the cold studio. Such a perfect combination. I had a fabulous massage here earlier this year. I had an appointment scheduled for a Sunday and I was contacted beforehand with a request to reschedule as the therapist I was booked with had to unexpectedly leave early. I rebooked for the following Saturday. I showed up and no one was there. I texted, knocked on the door, and waited 20 minutes before giving up and leaving. I am new to Scottsdale and was looking for a place to get a good, quick massage. I chose to give Nana's a try and I'm very glad I did. I picked the 60-minute Combination Swedish/Thai Massage (deep pressure). Out of every massage I've ever had in my life thus far, this one was the best. The few people who made reviews less than 5 stars for Nana's not being "aesthetically pleasing", "too cold" (according to a friend ) " or minor/selfish or impatient reasons are quite shallow and high strung folk. Good riddance. Sure, it's not a Miraval or a Canyon Ranch in terms of aesthetic, but I don't think it should be docked for not being "aesthetically pleasing". It was nice in there, clean and comfortable most definitely. Besides the point - I got my massage and after I was done I asked my kind masseuse her name and it was Nana, herself. Nana did an incredibly thorough job on me and if you truly like deep tissue/deep pressure massages, Nana's Thai Massage is a great option. I'm grateful I found such an awesome place on the first try. Worst experience ever ! Massage was so hard and stiff , that it actually hurt me to get one . I told the lady a few times ! You're applying way too much pressure, please lower ur pressure , she didn't care . Now I have the worst neck and back pain . I would not recommend this place. Definitely unexpected as my aunt told me to get the combination. At first I just kept thinking, how is this even relaxing? I feel like I'm fighting for my life but then I just let things happen. The stretching was worth it and the way she dug deep on my upper back was amazing. Cute little place upstairs and they were very nice and friendly. The. Ac vents was blowing cold air right on my friends body. They couldn't adjust the thermostat which sucks. Booked a massage for 2 hours online at 6pm. Arrived at their office, door closed and locked at 10 till 6. Another woman showed up at 5 till. Also for 6 pm massage. Finally right at 6:00 p.m. a girl open the door and was surprised there was two people. She of course took the woman in for a massage, and told me it would be about 45 minutes and to please wait. If you haven't experienced, her approach is a combination of REALLY deep tissue massage, some gentle yet effective chiropractic, and assisted stretching.
