This was a straight spiritual breakfast experience. The crepes are fantastic, the french toast trifle is miraculous, and the twice-fried potatoes are bomb. Their butter is shaped like a raspberry, straight artsy. Jesus would give this place an A+. read more

Brunch was great just like their other locations. This location also had a nice decor, interior was trendy. The menu selection was excellent, and so the quality of the food. Because it was busy a lot of their boxes were N/A. The service however was awful, as their one waitress didn't really do a good job at all. We waited a long time to get our drinks and then to order. (almost had to wave her down). She tended to our table a good three times, once to ask for our drink, once to order and once to take our food away. But when it was time to leave, she was there frequently to ensure that "we were kicked out asap". Unfortunately, she wasn't too subtle on it. VERY DISAPPOINTING for sure! read more

Really the worst experience i had during Covid time. We made a reservation with 2 days in advance, and when you got there they only give you option of sitting inside, ok we decided to wait for extra 25minutes after asking for a table outdoor in the shades, then after 27 minutes they call us and say they have table outdoor, when we got back to the restaurant it was fully sun. You gotta be kidding me, This is really frustrating, it would be all solved if their website gives us the option of outdoor or indoor since beginning. Some places need to be more clear on the options and remember we are having the option of go eat on local places to maintain our economy, but OEB acts like they are making a favor to us, and they seem happy for making you wait. read more

I can't even tell you how many times we have been to OEB now, it's our favourite breakfast place. Their boxes are so delicious and comforting, I usually stick with the "Gold Digga". My husband happily rotates through the bennie options. It's usually incredibly busy (for good reason), but you can still get a table by visiting on weekdays, or by hopping on the "no wait" app on the weekends so you can time your arrival at the restaurant. read more

Food was alright nothing special. Food came out quickly. I ordered the threesome with scrambled eggs bacon and a waffle. I am severely allergic to nuts and noticed that there was a lot of nuts on the menu, so I told them about my severe allergy. They gave me the food then walked away. They then walked back and proceeded to tell me that the waffles contain almonds. I was shocked that I was served nuts and wasn't told about it initially even though I told them about my allergy. The wait staff seemed very confused from then on and didn't no what to do with my food. They then gave me a new plate with french toast. But my meal overall was not complimentary. I will not go back to this place or any OEB locations ever. If you have an allergy STAY AWAY from OEB they DON'T know how to handle a customer with an allergy. read more

Really good breakfast place. The food is delicious. Lots of attention to detail with food preparation. I like the use of good quality ingredients. Hard to find a better breakfast place. Only complaint, it's hard to get a table on the weekend and seems a bit rushed when you're in there so hard to fully enjoy it. read more

Thursday March 29 1pm- Starting out with a positive as the food as per usual was amazing . I have been to the Edmonton Trail location many times ( it is always so busy !) , this was my first visit to mission.,, that being said there was moderate traffic at mission, (but not a full house ) We waited to be even acknowledged for quite some time as staff walked past us. Finally a gentleman approached us ( seemed like the manager ).he seemed confused and overwhelmed, although it was not a full house and seemed appropriately staffed. He also took our drink order and then we waited for menus or someone to ask us our order. We were confused who our server was. The food was amazing. Although we had to ask for cutlery. Once we were done we asked for separate bills. My friend paid w card at the front whereas I left cash for Mine on the bar where I sat. As we walked out the manger yelled goodbye to us ( which I thought was interesting considering no one was greeting customers at the door the whole time which would seem to be more a priority in terms of service... THEN he chased after us asking did u pay separately ??! Implying I maybe did not pay my half . Being from a managerial background I feel this manager was very confused , did not properly zone staff ie greeter and was running around trying to help randomly instead of setting a calm tone and pace for his staff who mostly at the bar also seemed lacking direction. ( ex. When our order was taken the waitress proceeded to walk over an clean another table before she entered the order although no one was waiting !) Poor management , lack of Sensible prioritizing ! I'm so disappointed! Don't get me wrong, the food here is quick and amazing. The menu has tons of options and I do want to go back for the food. HOWEVER- the service my friend and I received for brunch today was horrendous. Both of us have tons of service industry experience under our belts, which made it even worse. We were sat right away, and were poured coffee within minutes, after that, it took over 15 minutes for our server to come back. Two tables were sat beside us within that 15 minutes, and we kind of all just sat there wishing for someone to come pay attention to us. Our server finally came back but immediately got drinks for the other two tables, while we just sat there watching the time go by. She finally took our order, and that's the LAST TIME WE SPOKE TO HER. No coffee refills, no water refills, NO BILL. We sat with empty plates and drinks on our table for another 20 minutes after we were done. Then the manager came and cleared our plates, and asked if we were wanted the bill; we said yes, but surprise surprise, he never came back. Frustrated, we just put on our coats and went to pay at the front. The other server working asked for our receipts so she could see what table we were at and such, and both of us were like, "We never got them...". So frustrating. The restaurant was not packed, and it was just so painfully obvious that our server literally could not care less. read more

Finally got to eat here after hearing all the hype. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and modern decor. The food was fresh and had nice presentation. The potato wedges were crispy and well seasoned. The kitchen was very fast in getting the order out. Use the No wait app to ensure you are not waiting for an hour. The line up to get a seat is overwhelming. Is it worth the wait? Maybe if you are looking for an organic brunch. read more

Brand new location, just opened November 1st, 2017. Amazing food and atmosphere, great service. This location is, as are all the others, VERY busy which speaks to the quality of food and service. I was there this morning and had the water foul benny (duck, eggs benedict), it was AMAZING. It came with duck fat potato wedges that were also out of this world delicious. Be prepared to wait, 45-120 mins on average, if you're going to walk in for brunch without a reservation. Luckily I was eating alone and was seated right away at the bar. I would highly recommend using the nowait app to waitlist yourself to avoiding waiting long in line, a great option I wish more brunch places offered. They do also offer ordering take out if you just want the food and can live without the ambiance. read more

Visited this location on a Sunday morning which of course is super busy and completely understandable as the food was fantastic!! The experience not so much! We knew it would be busy so we joined the waitlist early in the morning almost 2 hours before we wanted to be there. There was 3 guests in our party, 2 of us arrived when we were 3rd on list. I let the hostess know we were there when we arrived, She wasn't able to find us on her list. The 3rd person in our group had forwarded me the link so we could see where we were on the list. The hostess then proceeded to tell us because we didn't have the confirmation text that she couldn't seat us until she saw this text as she was sure we had joined the waitlist for a different location. So we waited until the third person arrived. We then went and showed the hostess the text which was indeed for that location, She seemed confused and suddenly there was our booking on her iPad now saying it was removed by us...... this wasn't even possible as 2 of us had been sitting there and the third person driving until she arrived at the restaurant. We stood there back and forth with the hostess for serveral minutes until eventually we were seated at a communal table with 3 others we choose to take this table as at this point we were under time pressure for meetings we had. I felt the whole situation was handled so poorly and the hostess was quite short with me initially and until I think she realized that she had made a mistake in the first place, this is the part that I have issue with is the attitude of the hostess initially. Even if it was our mistake (which there is no way possible) I believe if you are in the hospitality industry understanding how to treat guests is key not a "show me the text and I will deal with you" attitude we received. I was in Calgary that day for meetings out from Vancouver and have visited the Vancouver location several times with fantastic service and food and it was quite disappointing to not receive the same service in this location. When we were finally seated the food was great and the service from our server was fantastic. Would I visit this location again probably not after that ordeal of this one! read more

Came here for brunch with a friend after hearing great things. Service quickly went downhill - we waited 10-15 minutes to place our order, and from then on were completely ignored. No coffee or water refills, sat with empty plates for over 20 minutes. Eventually another server came by, cleared our plates and offered us the bill, which, surprise surprise, never came. Finally swallowed our pride and stood up at the front, asking the closest person if we could pay. From experience in the service industry, I understand getting busy.... but the restaurant was half empty, and if you needed help or a few moments to get your thoughts together, we would have understood. Instead we were just ignored. Even though the food was excellent, the service was so horrendous that I'm not sure I'll be back. read more

We love this place for breakfast and lunch. They accommodate all our needs for gluten free and dairy free meals.

This location has the worst service in the city. The guy who seats everyone is completely unaware. They need more than one person managing that. He can't keep up. We have gone to this location several times and the service is always terrible. Everyone is frantic, and do not serve people in order of when they were seated. My boyfriend and I reserved a table online, came in and still had to wait extra time for our table. We were told the table that was being cleaned off was our table, he then proceeded to seat two other groups ahead of us. We checked our app and we had been removed from the list as it said we were already seated. Not the case. Then our server served the table seated next to us who had sat down 5 minutes after us. This is my last time spending my weekend at this restaurant. Waste of time. Waste of money. If you need to experience this restaurant, I suggest going to the Edmonton trail location. read more

We haven't been for a while, only because of the long wait some days and elbow to elbow seating. Wish it was a bigger space (maybe thats part of the charm?), but the decor is absolutely beautiful and modern. The food is good, the only thing I tried that I didnt like was the cheesecake french toast, and thats not because it was bad but a little too rich for me, and the baileys creme anglaise tasted a bit too much like Bailey's. They've made some changes which I don't care for as much, eg switching out the English muffins for croissants in their traditional eggs benny. The croissants cannot stand up to the ham, yolk, and hollaindaise. The side of fruit seems skimpier too. Nevertheless, I'll be coming back. read more

Consistently good service and food. My partner and I come here every so often for pancakes and eggs benny, which are definitely worth the trip! The menu is very diverse and caters to plant-based diets fairly well. Food is always fast, yet delicious.The coffee is also pretty great, though I'm not a huge fan of their lattes. We went here for a Mom's Day treat, but have to wait for about an hour still even with the Nowait app, considering it's Mother's Day, that's ok I guess. We were promptly seated in bar stools and maybe it's a bit of an offsight since we have a 5 y/o , a normal table might be better. But then again, the place is quite tight and so it's compact, these factors are the only ones I didn't like . With the food , I ordered their classic Belgian waffles , crispy, fresh and light, Altho I don't recall having whipped cream with it and the syrup is just enough for 1 waffle considering there's 3 waffles altogether, while my boys tried the egg menus, namely chicken frittata, soul in a bowl & wild boar ScalIa. I can say it's fresh, delectable and wonderfully mixed flavors . I tried a taste on it all and Wow! hats off! I rated 4 since with my simple waffles , I felt they didn't put much soul into it as the rest , i.e more syrup (at least home made but not watered down)a whipped cream option, and some choices on fruits on top, with a custardy finish.. I'm just thinking waffles are still best at Cora's but definitely try all the "egg menus" . read more

I've had the same dish at the downtown location and it was so much better there. Family Day Monday and we decided that we would take a drive down to 4th street Calgary for brunch with our family. We found OEB on line and decided to give it a try. Upon arrival there was no organization at all, no host and no one offering to take our names. I made my way to the cashier to ask to be put in the wait list. The staff member laughed at me and said it would be a 3 hour wait. There was zero customer service and completely disorganized. Disappointing. read more
