We finally checked out this pizzeria-brewery in Rock Hill, and here's my take... When we walked in, the place was completely dark...as in no lights. It didn't really create a vibe either...it was just dark! (later, one of the staff members caught on, and decided to flip the light switch on... OMG?!?). Aside from the lighting, the place was quite basic. I felt it would have been nicer to eat outside on their patio, but it was a chilly night. Also, they featured country music overhead...and am not a fan of country music. So obviously, I didn't love the vibe here. As if no lights wasn't weird enough, there was no waitress. Only 1 bartender at the bar, but no waitress. We had to order at the bar. So we chose to share this Hawaiian Pizza. Well, I loved the pizza crust, and it was well crafted, with all sorts of ingredients. The thing that almost ruined it was their excessive use of Balsamic Vinegar. Not a fan of Vinegar anyway, but I think a little would have been fine...but in this case, they just drenched it on. Really not sure why they put so much vinegar on this pizza...it just made for a very greasy pizza. Without it, I would have liked it SO much better. Also, although it had a lot of ingredients, nothing really popped. Think they could have added a bit of a kick to it...something even slightly spicy?? The issue my husband had was the heat level. When the pizza came out, it wasn't piping hot...just warm. Surprisingly I liked the pizza much more than I had anticipated...but just felt it was too greasy. WHY so much vinegar?!? For drinks, I had this Seltzer, and my husband tried one of their freshly brewed beer...and I think the consensus was just O-Kay. So...as it goes...some very odd things at this joint. No lights, no waiters-waitresses, and super-greasy pizza. I hate NOT loving so many of Rock Hill's restaurants, but for one reason or another, many of these local restaurants are just...rough and unpolished. I guess I'm willing try them again since I thought their pizzas were good (though too greasy). I mean the crust was really good...I just didn't love the Vinegar glaze on top. Maybe we'll try some other pizza? Maybe next time they'll have the lights on...and maybe hire a waiter-waitress by then??

This place has been added to our must stop list. We were staying overnight in Rock Hill and decided to try Off the Tracks Brewing. Ot can be hard to to find a brewery that does both beer and food well. These guys nailed it. My wife ordered the Le Frecce, an italian hoagie, served on fresh rosemary focaccia was super tasy. I ordered the Stockyard Pizza. Too much food, but i couldn't put it down. I tried the Clody Days. Wubrew and Going Back to Cali IPAs. All were good, Cloudy days was my favorite. The wife had the triple jam cider. Solid drink. Placd has a mellow vibe, and had live music. Stop here, it's worth it

Off The Tracks Brewery not only has great local brews but it food is off the tracks good! The menu is the basic bar food genre but done very well. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur. The dough, the sauce, the toppings, and details all fall under my intense scrutiny. The one thing that sets Off The Tracks apart is the pizza oven! They have like a a hundred year old imported pizza oven that cooks the pizza dough perfectly (in my opinion one of the most important aspects of a perfect pizza) We got the Hawaiian (Only because my wife loves it. Don't judge me) But it was great and the cinnamon pretzel with sweet honey butter put the icing on the cake! When in Rock Hill, take time to stop by this spot, get a great beer, a slice and sit out by the fire pits and enjoy life.

The pizza and atmosphere are great! Live music on Monday's. Good service. Outdoor and indoor seating. Homemade sauce on the pizzas. You can't beat it!

Terrible experience with a manager name Carley. This bar is a great little space in Rock Hill but unfortunately after months of supporting I won't ever be returning. Which is terrible to the great bar staff that works there over a manager putting out false narratives of being cussed out over an open food charge of $1.50 when my bill was $115.

Don't go for the food, go for the drinks and atmosphere. We enjoyed ourselves and service was good. I really enjoyed watching the cook. You could tell he loved his job. It's not a bad spot but as someone who has experienced pizza from around the country, theirs is mediocre.

Went here for the pizza after seeing another photo of it on Yelp. The pizza was delicious! I ordered The Engineer. It wasn't on the in-person menu (I saw it online) but they were still willing to make it for me. That's great service! I enjoyed the atmosphere both in the brewery, the outdoor area, and the surrounding area.

Probably one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten! Beer was great and the ambience was great. Love their Monday live open mic night!

When I first walked in, I was a little confused because I didn't know whether to wait for a host/hostess or seat myself. But, looking around I saw a sign directly to my right at the front door that clearly says "Grab a menu. Find an open table. Order at the bar when ready." So, that's what we did. Cute little joint. We sat down and figured out what we were gonna have and then I went to the bar and placed my order. Food came out in a timely manner and we grubbed. The food was good. The atmosphere was nice and I've heard a few ppl say something about the waitress not coming around to check on you. Well, I just figured since you order at the bar, if you need something else, just go to the bar and ask for it. Simple. We had a fine time and the service was nice and friendly. No complaints here.

Shitty beer and overpriced pizza. I can get better stuff at 7:11 or make it at home but it's a chill area to go and hang out.

They have indoor and outdoor seating. The entranceway is so wide open that's sitting inside was like sitting outside. It was a beautiful night weatherwise. Obviously known for their options of beers, my colleague got a flight of four IPAs and I went with a bourbon old-fashioned. He enjoyed all four of his beers saying that the east was his favorite. Though my drink was to be an old-fashioned, they did not have any fruit, nothing to muddle, and no sugar. Understanding that this is not a cocktail bar, but a craft beer house, don't advertise an old-fashioned unless you have all the ingredients necessary to make one. The light snack we had was the pretzel. It came out quick and warm. It came with two types of sauces. There was a beer, cheese sauce, and a mustard sauce. Both perfect for dipping the pretzel into. The staff was super friendly and frequently came by to check in on things.

Inconsistency was the theme of our recent dinner at BearWalrus. Disappointing, and yet hopeful,…read morebecause with some attention to detail this could become a great addition to the Rock Hill restaurant scene, As we sat our server did an excellent job explaining the menu. However, she then disappeared. Well, not disappeared, we could clearly see her at a table talking, and talking, with another couple. 15 minutes later we still hungrily (and thirstily) sat waiting to place our order. The service unfortunately remained unsteady throughout the evening. My wife and I love properly barbecued brisket. (Key mention, I lived in Texas many years and my wife grew up in Houston. We've taken vacations visiting Texan barbecue joints. Admittedly, we're "brisket snobs". ). Brisket is a tough cut of meat and aside from lots of loving time and attention it requires fat. Fat provides tenderness, moistness and most importantly flavor. When asked, ALWAYS order fatty brisket, not lean. Of the three slices of brisket we received, one was delicious, it all but fell apart with a fork. Another was partly good but the third slice was clearly overly lean; it was dry, tough and, in our view, not worth eating. So again, inconsistencies. We had a dozen oysters, four each of Good (from Virginia), Awesome (PEI) and Baller (Washington). The descriptions should've been switched. The large Chesapeake oysters were the best. They had a buttery finish - I enjoyed them. Meanwhile the Pacific oysters were very briny and one tasted of fish; after that I didn't touch the remainder . (I'm fine, by the way, no after-meal ill effects). I now suspect the price points for the oysters have less to do with quality and more with shipping costs. My advice, support our local, and delicious, fisheries. We ordered hushpuppies for starters and they arrived a dark, dark brown in color. The table next to us received the same so we first told ourselves that was perhaps how they were served here. However, we then saw other table servings and realized ours were burnt. The manager comped us for these (we had only eaten one). Of the four sides we had, the Cole slaw and onion rings were good but the Cowboy beans overly sweet and the Mac N Cheese was bland and lacked seasoning. BearWalrus is new, clearly still working out a few kinks. There were enough positives in our meal that I'm optimistic that this unevenness in quality will be ironed out in due course.
