One of the best little breweries we've ever eaten at. Came across Lake Wylie Brewing Co. driving back to Rock Hill from Gastonia. We were kindly greeted upon entering and immediately fell in love with the vibe and our bartender. Great selection of microbrews, but the food was definitely the star of the show. Tonight's special was prime rib. Cooked to perfection! Accompanied by some of the best brussel sprouts I've ever had. They were crispy and slightly sweet with bacon bits. Baked potato was delicious. Definitely come try the prime rib. The food, establishment, workers, and vibe makes want to come back for more. Looking forward to our next visit. read more

Came here with out of town guests and had a wonderful time. We are "beer tourists" and thought all of the beers were well made and quite tasty in their own style. We each had a flight and a favorite pint. Tonight's food truck was Happy City Cairo Cuisine and each of our meals were delicious. Really an excellent night. I can only give this place average. The prices were fine and the food truck there was great but the place needs some updating-very average craft beer place. I did enjoy that they had a band. Will perhaps go back at least once. read more

I mean just for the beer selection and the atmosphere for everyone including children! Has a playground in the back to let the kids burn themselves out. A top notch beer selection that will rival any other place. I prefer this over my favorite spots in Charlotte. read more

What a great spot! Cannot believe it took me this long to get here. Much bigger than it appears from the road. Plenty of outside seating. The food truck was also awesome. I am a dark beer kind of dude. I had their Dunkel (I assume seasonal for the winter) and their Porter. Both were fantastic. We sat at the bar. Place was not crowded at all. Nice big TV's too. From the food truck, I got the brussels sprouts and the hot chicken sandwich. My friend got the wings. All were terrific. Highly recommend. Cannot wait to go back. read more

Stopped in while we were visiting our son during Halloween weekend. Had a few beers, and enjoyed watching all the people who had dressed up and come out for their halloween costume contest. And they did a great job on their little stage outside, with the animated, motion sensing "monsters". Kids were fascinated every time they walked by. And to top off our couple hours there, they had a great food truck on site. read more

I notices this spot while visiting the DMV next door, and after spending more than an hour at the DMV I was in need of a beer. The place is exactly what you expect from a small brewery tap room, it has a warehouse/industrial feel to it, with a long bar, a handful of tables and overhead doors opening up to outdoor seating. I took a seat at the bar, which was around half full, and was greeted by the bartender, who was very friendly and informative about the beers on tap. I had the Rip Rap West Coast IPA, and a Lough Wylie Irish Stout, both of which were very good. I noticed that they had a small menu, but did not order any food on this visit. Overall, this is a welcoming place with good beer on tap, that is only around 10 minutes from home. I will definitely be back. read more

Fun sipping spot, not near a lake. They have a nice Ebenezer Brown and a Blackberry Wheat called Swheat Summer. Beers could be a bit colder. Food truck items on the side, with some tasty higher price point truck items. read more

Okay. Such a great dog friendly spot! The beers were awesome, the local is convenient, tons of games to play on the outside deck/turf. Great indoor space that was super comfy. Dogs welcome makes it so much fun. Awesome service, the server got our drinks rapid fire and was so nice, friendly and funny. Highly recommend! read more

We love this spot due to it's location. There isn't anything else nearby - and the bonus is their beer is really good as well! We haven't tried the new food truck, but definitely will be back to check it out. The employees have always been helpful and friendly. It is nice having a local bar so close by. read more

Disappointing. Despite this location not being any where near Lake Wylie, we really wanted this place to be good. The beer and seltzer were mediocre and the outside area was filthy, as customers had to wipe the tables themselves. The single server was overworked and unable to reconcile a sense of a queue at the bar. We may give it another chance once they have more adult supervision and improved brews. read more

I was really looking forward to eating here last Saturday. I read great reviews and the food looked delicious!! We arrived and waited at the door. Waiting for an usual amount of time before it just got awkward. We turned to leave and a customer said something about a food truck to us and point toward the back of the building. Having no idea what she was talking about, we decided to leave. If you can't have someone greet customers or at least have a sign directing customers as to what to do, then I don't see how you ever get new customers. I don't doubt the food would have been delicious, sadly I will never know. read more

Visited Lake Wylie Brewing Company with some friends on Friday night for the first time. We were excited to try out the new location. Arriving at around 7:00 PM, the place was packed, live music was playing (singer with an acoustic guitar), beer flowing, and Buzz's Food Truck was open in the back. The beer was good and the wings fantastic (my wife said they were some of the best wings she has ever eaten). Prices for beer was reasonable and they have a good selection. If customers were going there with the primary focus on listening to live music while enjoying beer and food, Friday was a good night to go. For us, trying to socialize with our friends with some background music, we found it entirely too loud to enjoy. Using a decibel meter app on my phone (dB Meter), the reading over a couple of minutes averaged 94 dB and maxed several times at 103 dB. Per the CDC, at 100 dBs, hearing loss is possible in less than 15-minutes, at 105-110 dBs in less than five-minutes. A side effect of the volume; we noticed that customers were having to get within a few inches of each other while speaking loud to have a conversation. With COVID-19 and no one wearing face coverings...... After one beer apiece and some wings, we left for another brewery in Rock Hill. For comparison, their live music was averaging 74 dB, which was much more enjoyable for conversing. We may return to Lake Wylie Brewing Company in the future, as long as there is no live music. read more

I was there this past Saturday and had my first bad experience. My lady and I stepped outside, and when we came back someone ( visibly intoxicated) was sitting in my sit drinking my beer and I asked him to move a buy me another he wanted to get physical so I reached out to the owners son to inform him of the situation. As the drunk guy was leaving the establishment with full glass beer in hand o was told by owners son that " that I shouldn't have left my beer and it wasn't his responsibility to handle the situation " I'm sorry where I'm from the bartenders are repo for serving or not serving visibly intoxicated patrons! The nice folks around me helped de escalate situation. read more

Very disappointed. I took my family there and sat down. No one ever greeted us and when the bar tender finally came from smoking I went and had to ask about food and drinks. Very unfriendly and not a welcoming place. We've been to a lot of breweries and I hate to say this was our worst experience. First and last time there. read more
