Stopped at Millstone for some pizza with mixed results. We started with the garlic knots which were not bad. Some were very well cooked and others a bit doughy and not cooked enough so some inconsistency there. We ordered the Meat pizza and it arrived hot and looking delicious. Crust was well cooked and it was very good. Only objection I had on the pizza is the sauce. It seemed to me to be very bland. Still a good slice but could have been much better. Service was good. My boyfriend and I visited this place on a whelm. Probably won't be back because we waited for over an hour for pizza. When we walked in through either the side or main entrance, which is the brewery the bartender was super friendly. He took our order immediately and switched us to the pizzeria/restaurant side. The ambiance was cute and relaxed. The brewery is the side to be on but we didn't come for that. The pizza sucked. Considering how long we waited to receive the pizza the experience was not worth it. Now let's backtrack to the brewery. We ordered two salads (house and Caesar) both were ready before we made it to our seats. They were good but who can really go wrong with a salad. If you enjoy wine their selection is slim. I mean it is a brewery. Now on to the pizza it was subpar. We waited over an hour and the location had a normal mid-week crowd. No more that 20-30 patrons. For the size of the location that crowd in a Thursday evening from 6-8pm the service should not have been so slow. Now the pizza lacked flavor, depth and overall taste. It was bland, the Parmesan was bland and the crushed red pepper was guess what BLAND! Probably won't be back to such a lack luster pizza spot. read more

Passing through Rock Hill on a Monday night led us to Millstone Pizza. Light crowd indicated a local hangout. We ordered a St. Patrick carryover special to our delight. Corn beef, cheese and sauerkraut portions were generous on a wood fire oven crust. All delicious! For dessert we enjoyed the oversized chocolate chip cookie drizzled with chocolate sauce. Some friends and I decided to go here on a Friday night. Upon arrival we were told the wait was about 40 minutes but there were only three names above us on the wait and there was plenty of tables open. We ended up only waiting 20 minutes but over quoting by that much is a little outrageous in my opinion. We were sat near the open garage door but it was actually nice outside that night so we didn't to much mind. The host did not ask if we had a preference or not though. We were greeted in a reasonable time but once we started ordering food and the food came out we had to find our server to bring us silverware. My friend ordered the meatballs and waited at least 10 minutes for silverware in order to eat his app. I got the pepperoni rolls and in my opinion there was nothing that was special about them. If you are getting pizza I feel as if it's basically a smaller verse of a calzone (double pizza). For my entree I got the margarita pizza with pepperoni added to it. The toppings were good but the pizza itself was just okay. I'm not for sure if it's just the kind that I got or what but it was not it. I also got a non alcoholic drink which had cranberry, pineapple, orange juice and sprite in it. I honestly do not think it was worth 8.00 for juice but hey I guess we can blame it on inflation. This place is great, been here a total of 4 times and I have only lived in South Carolina for a month. The staff is very friendly and the food is great. The garlic knots are amazing, make sure you order them. You cannot go wrong with any pizza, from BBQ to the Zoe, to the 5 cheese and beyond. All of them are hits. They have an amazing beer rotation, always great selections and always very knowledgeable on the flavors. They also have a few tvs at the bar to catch a game. Highly recommend. read more

We were in Rock Hill for the weekend visiting friends. We found this by doing a bit of online searching and it looked like a great fit for our group of 6. It is physically connected to and in the same building as Rock Hill Brewing. We arrived about 4pm and were quickly seated and provided menus. The tap list was available via a QR code. We decided on the calamari and fried mushrooms as appetizers and three of us ordered the Booty Call IPA. This was from the Millstone taps which they have many in addition what is next door at Rock Hill Brewing. We each ordered pizzas and were happy to see they offered gluten free options as well. The pizzas arrived in a timely manner and all looked great. The regular crust was really good but my wife thought the gluten free crust should have been cooked longer, it felt too flimsy. Overall, this was a good experience, the service was attentive, the food was good and everyone enjoyed it. There is also some outdoor seating. We are giving this four stars because the gluten free crust wasn't great. read more

Just got pizza to go , it's some of the worst pizza I've ever had ! It's like they forgot the toppings. We will not be back !!!

While waiting 15 minutes just to attempt to place an order for a pizza to-go I noticed the kid with the bleached hair who was making the pizzas drool (not just a little dribble) twice and wipe it off with his bare hand and go right back to rolling out dough. Either go over sanitation with your staff or just move the pizza making to the back of house. No one wants to see that while waiting for food. read more

Delicious food, and quick service! I got the Fungi Pizza which I personally think is the best mushroom pizza I've ever had. The goat cheese gives it such a wonderful flavor. My group also split the cookie which was warm and gooey. You can also add ice cream to the cookie, but we chose not to. My only complaint is that the hours varied from what was on the door, and the staff didn't tell us that. Instead, they started cleaning up around us while we were under the assumption that they closed two hours later than they actually did. Be sure to check the hours online before going. read more

We ordered a total of five pizzas and they all came out around the same time which was nice. The pizzas were nothing super special. The cheese pizza, for example, had several different cheeses on it but none of them were notable on the palate when being eaten. The crowd favorite was probably the buffalo pizza. Food is not bad. Good for a family lunch but lower your expectations a bit. The menu is quite limited. This is not Italian food. Meatballs appear to be handmade and their sauce is sweet. My appetizer came out lukewarm and the service was a bit off. Our server Forgot my entree and walked by twice as my wife sat there and ate her entire meal as I remained empty handed, starring into her food (which she said was fine). Considering we came from the pizza capital of the country, we don't often expect much from these smaller restaurants . Ok I don't know how I have not reviewed this place until now. Millstone is one of my favorite pizza places in Rock Hill. I am always trying a new pizza but one of my favorites they did as a special called "The Trashcan" but I never took a note of the toppings. Lately my family and I enjoy the 5 cheese with added sausage or pepperoni. The service is usually good and the beer choice are always great. There were two families inside and two families outside when we got there. All families were eating. A waiter passed our table after about 7 min of us being seated to go check on a table beside us which is fine but never stopped at our table on the way back inside the restaurant: This is when we set our timer because at this point you see us sitting with no water or anything. While waiting, we noticed the guy sitting behind us had two servers stop to check on him before we left. Unacceptable. Arrived hot and cooked fine, but barely any toppings (randomly chopped red onion, very finely chopped green pepper, pepperoni). The bell pepper was cut up so small there was no taste. And hardly any onion or pepperoni - so some pieces didn't have all the toppings. It was more like a cheese only pizza. I understand its a thin crust so they don't want to load it up, but this was ridiculously lacking. The dough was better than most, but we have had better. Cheese quality fair - again not a lot on the pie. Sauce was fine. Beer was good. Small salad - lemon vinaigrette dressing was fresh tasting. Came with fresh artisan lettuce, a few cherry tomatoes, feta + croutons. I noticed everyone but the guys tending to cooking pizza has to clean tables. read more

I went to Rock Hill to visit my favorite bakery and this was down the street. They were great! The pizza is just delicious as expected and the garlic knots are great. They don't do half and half pizzas just to let everyone know but that was okay with us ! The service was great and I had never had a glass bottle of water at the table but I loved it because that way our server wouldn't have to waste so many trips refilling our cups. Nice local Neapolitan pizza shop. The crust is thin and crisp with fresh marinara and good quality toppings. The mozzarella stretches for miles when you take a slice from the pie, just like fresh cheese should. The location is a bit small for the growing community but it can expand to include outdoor seating. We enjoyed a margarita pizza with pepperoni. I tend to go pretty classic and no fuss with pizza but just by the simple ingredients, I can assume they source good stuff for their specialty pizzas.
