I was always apprehensive about getting my eyebrows permanently tattooed as I've seen a lot of my [Asian] friends' parents getting their eyebrows tattooed and what it looked like after (the eyebrows were obviously tattooed in and they've turned into a blue-ish color). A friend of mine got her's tattooed and I couldn't believe how realistic it looked and decided to finally take the decision more seriously. I found out about Permanent Makeup Lounge through a LivingSocial deal that was posted and decided to read up on the procedure through Permanent Makeup Lounge's website as well as Yelp reviews and browsed through the pictures. I couldn't make my first appointment because of a family emergency and Robyn was very understanding and was very helpful before meeting for the first time as I had A LOT of questions to ask about the before and during procedure. On the day of my procedure, I did not know what to expect, but I LOVE the way my eyebrows turned out!!! I'm someone who has to fill in their eyebrows every time I go out as I made the dumb mistake of a teenager of over plucking (if only someone told me they'll never grow back the same way) and my natural eyebrows were almost two different shapes. The procedure was painless as Robyn uses a numbing cream while showing you her gallery of pictures on her phone of previous work done and talking about what procedure would work out (either filling it in completely or with single strokes). I came into the procedure with a definite answer of filling out my eyebrows, but after looking through Robyn's pictures, I went with the single strokes. My friends couldn't tell I got my eyebrows tattooed at all as they thought I just filled in my eyebrows with a different color as usual. After many, many years of over plucking my eyebrows, and a year of trying to grow them back in, I finally decided to get them filled in. I had basically plucked them into a rainbow shape and just wanted a little bridge put in so it didn't look like I was surprised all the time. We did the hairline stroke in a dark color, since my hair is black (and fair skin). They look fantastic. I still have to go back for the touch up (4 weeks later), which I need. They look filled in but some parts didn't take the color (which Im sure is what the touch up is for). But even with that happening, they still look better than they did before. read more

I'm honestly surprised by the positive feedback as unfortunately I couldn't say I had the same experience. I came here for the first time under the Spa Week package and this is THE WORST MASSAGE I have ever experienced. It was so bad and felt like my mom was giving me a rubdown. I gave Robyn a 20% tip, but the tip she really needed to know is to go back for training. She didn't know what she was doing. On top of which I asked her to be more firm as she was really delicate the entire time. First off, nothing in the place makes sense. The so-called "spa" more like an office, is hidden behind a strip mall in an office building. I rang the doorbell when greeted I was told you don't need to do that since the door is open (so I ask why have a doorbell?). Then I have to fill out a questionnaire/ form which is customary, but occupation, full birth date (when all they wanted was my age), home address, my case of emergency name and phone number is way too much to be needing for a simple massage especially after indicating I have no allergies. After I got undressed and lying on the bed upside down, Robyn told me I didn't fill the form out all the way and insisted I answer the rest. Really? As I'm naked and lying down? How about before or after? Robyn's personality reminded me of that as a conservative mother and quite condescending. I was surprised by that considering she is in a customer service profession. I wasn't rude to her AT ALL. She must have had a bad day, but considering she cannot give a proper massage you would think she would make up with kindness. I'm not going back and cannot give referrals to friends I know in the area. read more

I decided to get my eyeliner done and wanted something a little thicker then the natural look. Thicker eyeliner takes more then one session. I have had 3 sessions and I love it! Tho I'm still deciding if I want one more session for just a little more thickness. I am someone who used to not go out without makeup on and now i hardly wear any. This is a long overdue review. Robyn did my eyebrows about a month ago, and I love the results. Robyn is very knowledgeable in permanent makeup. At first I was a little hesitant after she drew on a rough (very rough) idea of how it would look with the ink and a q-tip (TIP: Bring your own eyebrow pencil if you want to avoid a little scare) but the results were no where close to what she drew, it was even better! This is my second review. I had my eyeliner done back in 2013. I paid extra for the more dramatic look and I had both my upper and my lower done. I paid somewhere around $500 for 2 sessions. I really wanted this tattoo and was very excited about, if you read my first review I was happy. However, it never was as thick as I wanted (and paid extra for) and when I reached out to Robin after I noticed my eyeliner was fading she wanted to charge me another $200 to come in for a touch up! I have many tattoos, all over my body, and I don't mind spending money on good work that will last the rest of my life. Every tattoo artist I have ever gone to includes 1 free touch up after the initial appointment. I have never had an artist make me pay hundreds more to come back for touch up work. Robin says my body rejected the ink, that it didn't set, but that sounds like excuses to me. When you're having ink work done there is always a chance of some ink not "setting" but all of it?!? And that is why a good artist will have you come back in and get the work fixed for free. I have to put on eyeliner ever day still because the permanent doesn't show up at all. I look at myself in the mirror and am gravely disappointed by the lack of her work that I see. I work hard for my money, I live on a small budget and this was a luxury item that I let myself splurge on, and it was a waste of my money. I'm deeply saddened by this, and by Robin's poor customer service satisfaction. read more

I had my upper eyelids lined and I have actually had them done before (they almost completely went away so I had them done again). So, I pretty much knew what to expect but I ended up very impressed. Robyn is a professional. Everything is done with extreme cleanliness and safety. She is very straight and up front about everything. Terrible customer service. I am surprised she has recieved such great reviews. My $99 groupon turned in to $300 with zero results. Not only did she put words in my mouth about what i wanted at the consultation,she was rude on the phone when I expressed my concern a week after my second visit and she stopped responding to emails and texts. I then tried to dispute the charge,but her response to the bank that "every client takes the pigment differently" seemed to have work. Job well done. Robyn did a fantastic job in giving me my eyebrows back, which after many years of plucking into a thin line made them almost non existent. Thanks to the numbing creme this procedure was almost painless. The eyeliner was a little more challenging. She tried to make it as comfortable as possible and pain is subjective. I liked her eye for detail and how careful and clean she worked during the whole procedure. It looked a little dark after finishing, but after the week of healing it looks very natural. I had only compliments on my new look so far. Have to be back for my touch up in a couple of weeks and don't think it will be a big deal since the color is taking well. You see I was very hesitant at first because of the past permanent make up job I received on my eyebrows and lips. My eyebrows were gray blue and my lip liner was extremely dark. My decision to get permanent make up done was not one I took lightly. I have drawn my eyebrows in for over 10 years, due to over plucking as a young teenager I have little to no eyebrows left. The time she took to inform me of the process truly amazed me, and made me feel more comfortable with the process. Long story short, I only have good things to say about Robyn. She made the entire process easy. I am a heavily tattooed individual, and this was the first "tattoo" that I was scared about doing, I mean its your face!!!!
