I have used these guys for two custom built systems. The first system was a power house, a…read morescreaming system that worked great for a number of years. The second system was okay. There was a missing slot in the back where it looked liked they put in a card slot of some sort but removed it. For some reason, I never really thought to question it. If you get a computer from these guys and see something like it-question it. Question it seriously. With my recent system, I have been experiencing some problems with it when trying to edit video. I took it into another local computer repair shop to look at it for me. I upgraded the RAM but he said I needed a video card. He tried to install a couple video cards but neither worked. He realized there was a "dead spot" on the motherboard. Same reason my USB drives on the front of my computer weren't working properly. So it's logical to conclude that empty slot in the back was where they tried to install a video card, but instead of replacing the motherboard with one that properly works, they decided to sell me the computer without a proper video card. And also knowing full well there were "dead spots" in the motherboard. Who does this? What kind of computer store worth any kind of reputation would treat a customer like this? Another thing I found out was the heat sink they put in my unit was for AMD, but I am running on Intel. This is just sloppy work, and leaves a very bad impression. Come to think of it, I recall after I got the computer, the CD/DVD drive wasn't working properly either. When I took it in, the guy working there got angry about it and broke the door off the drive. He installed another CD/DVD drive in a different slot. Hmmm... probably was an issue with that faulty mother board you put in there, I would imagine? If you don't want a reliable system, want a computer place that cuts corners, out right ignores faulty equipment they put in their custom built systems, and charge you a premium price, this place is for you. But I suggest if you want great service and a computer shop that actually takes pride in putting the best custom systems that will run for years and years to come, shop elsewhere. I am giving two stars- one star for the horrible custom built they sold me a few years back that I now realize was faulty out their door, and one extra star for the custom build they sold me before that that actually ran like a champ. The lack of consistency and lack of taking pride in their work and fixing issues that customers may not realize are a problem until years down the road is a reason to avoid these clowns. They don't value their customers at all. They treat them like putzes.

Fabulous customer service! I even called after hours, and the gentleman who answered was happy to…read moreanswer my millions of questions about computer security. I found Laptops…read moreKC had what I was looking for and I called Mike and I want to tell you that this guy is AWESOME. He took my calls, did a great job communicating, agreed to upgrade the hard disk from 500Gig to 1T. I placed the order Wednesday and he did it THAT DAY and shipped it THAT DAY so I would get it Friday 12/24 and have it so I could spend time on the weekend doing my set up and be ready for work Monday. He was great to work with, sold me a super laptop at a great price, upgraded it for a great price, and shipped it. I had it in less than 48 hours and before a holiday weekend. I highly recommended Mike at Laptops KC. Quality products, quality services, great prices. I will remember him and refer friends to them to buy computers. For the price of a basic medium grade PC at Best Buy I got a really outstanding Lenovo Thinkpad and I love it. Thank you Mike!

I promise I get no compensation from him in any way for referring people to him, but it is my pleasure to have at least one business like him (local, single owner, small shop, good guy, great prices, works with you) that I can refer people to. He does other things from time to time so open hours can differ, so maybe call... or just go down and see him. He has stacks of used laptops. I have purchased my last 3-4 computers (over 6-7 years) from him. All of them still work. I recently bought another $150 laptop from him just to use as a media player attached to my TV. PS Be sure to ask about upgrading to a solid state hard drive, it makes those thing boot so fast... I can not say enough good things about him and his work.

Eric was extremely helpful, informative and patient. He was able to settle my nerves and get me through the entire process. I'm very grateful for the 14-day return policy as well. The only process that is ridiculously lengthy is how long claims take to get you a replacement.

I went to the Apple Store at the plaza today for a repair of the back of my iPhone 17. The back of…read morethe phone had shattered. It is the day after Christmas so I already understood that there may be longer than normal wait times and I was fully prepared for that. I also didn't make an appointment online, so again I was understanding of the possible lengthy wait. When I got there, I showed the employee that checked me in the back of the phone and he saw it was clearly shattered. He told me the next available appointment with the technician to repair the phone is at 4:30 pm. It was 2:45 pm at that time. I decided to wait. I walked around the plaza until around 4:00 pm and then checked back in. Around 5:15 pm, the technician came over to look at the phone. He looked at my phone for about 5 minutes and then checked his schedule and said they don't have any availability today to repair my phone. My frustration is the fact that I thought that the initial appointment I made for 4:30 pm was for the technician to repair the phone. I did not know that the "greeter" puts you on one list and then the technician puts you on another. I did not know that the employees don't communicate when the appointment is made. So I waited nearly 3 hours for the technician to look at the phone for 5 minutes and then say he did not have time to repair it. I asked to speak with a manager just to share that it would be great if the greeter could've mentioned their process before I waited 3 hours. I was understanding the impression that the appointment at 4:30 would be for the technician to fix the phone, not for the technician to check his schedule and tell me if there was time. Had I known that the initial appointment would mean that I will also get on another list to wait and possibly not be seen at all, I would've made a different decision. I would've liked the opportunity to make an informed decision. I explained this to the "team lead," Brian. He was immediately very dismissive. He even at one point asked me "Well, what do you want me to do?" I've spent a ton of money with Apple and at this specific location. I was hoping Brian would be more understanding and acknowledge how their process could be frustrating. Instead, he was dismissive from the start before I could even explain to him the problem and condescending as I explained my concern and frustration. Again, I understand that the holiday season is a busy time and I was fully prepared to wait. I just didn't know that their process involved being on two separate lists and that there was a possibility I wouldn't be helped at all. I thought that when I got on the first list, that was my appointment to actually get the help I needed and get the phone fixed. I think that the check-in process could be a lot more transparent. At the very least, the team lead could've been more understanding and less condescending and dismissive. I don't plan to go to this location again.
