I went into the UPS store and asked if they had a flat rate box and the guy said they have them and…read morethen brought me a box. I asked what do I do, just bring it back in and he said yes. I come back and they measure and weigh the package and inform me it's not a flat rate box. So, I paid for an expensive box and then shipping. I was mad and calmly said "Man I hate this place" as I stepped back. Nearly under my breath and not at anyone. The employee then said you can go somewhere else, but I was already there so I went forward with the shipping. That should have been the first red flag from this employee. As SOON as he put the money in hand with the receipt the employee raised his voice and started yelling saying he would put me on a list because I hate this place. I told him to go for it. Then he started yelling that I was threatening him as he continued to yell at me and saying there was no way you asked for a flat rate box, yelling that I was lying and he continued to yell at me as I was leaving. He started a confrontation that didn't need to be started. The employee should be investigated for his interactions with customers because he was yelling, irate, confrontational and continued to berate me as I was leaving.

New ownership has not helped the customer service at this store. They are sticklers for the RULES…read moreand are inflexible. They claim their franchise agreement dictates how customers must pack Amazon returns being dropped off, yet Amazon tells me it doesn't really matter. The previous ownership and management would make exceptions when it made sense and when customer service dictated. Instead, UPS is coming to my house for free to pick it up and the driver won't care at all. Once Amazon starts offering shipping services and they compete head to head with UPS, I think these UPS stores will lose a lot of their foot traffic.
