I don't know why it says Kinkos in Independence is closed, cause I just came from there this morning. I use the Fed-Ex services more than anything. The office supplies are a bit lame, even for basics. And the prices are much more than I'd pay at, like, Officemax. Always a line, or a wait, even if I'm the only one with a package. This morning, when I had a package, I waited for the employee to stop her conversation with a customer. I waited a long time. I looked over at her, and they were showing their pictures in their iphones. Times a wasting here. I think they've decreased their staff. Each time I enter Kinkos, the staff to customer ratio is decreasing. Also, I've noticed the copy machines, usually one or two are down, but it used to be that they all worked, all the time. I appreciate the Fed-Ex services, and don't know what I'd do without it. I've had printing in volume done at this Kinkos, and I've been very pleased with it. I've not used that service for about a year. Kinko's is not so good for office supplies, and printing projects can be done in Officemax, as well. They also sell greeting cards that are supposed to be funny, but I think the display is there, just so you don't realize how long you have to stand, to be waited on. read more

I drive to this store from Raytown based on the great service and helpfulness of the employees. It's always quick when I go in and the Price to print is totally reasonable. Im always greeted upon entering which is a huge thing for me as a manager of a salon. The only thing I can say which could use work is maybe a few smiles when people walk in minus two people. A guy and girl that works in the evening! They always give a little smile when customers walk in and ALWAYS they greet upon entrance. Keep up the great work read more

I live in a very large subdivision with a lot of street names that may only be differentiated by " lane,way,court etc.. After watching the fedex guy pass our house several times and it looked like he may have made a call for directions, he dropped the box at my front door and left. The package wasn't mine and CLEARLY was not my address. I guess he just got tired of looking for the right address and had other things to do. I drove two streets over to the correct address and gave the package to the homeowner. So many things could have gone wrong with this scenario it's just pure luck I was more honest then the driver. read more

I will never visit this location when the young lady with glasses and tattoos is working. Being a store manager if I saw an employee hate their job that much I would send them home. My first time and last time at this location. For filling out a shipping label and asking questions you would think that would be the easiest part of her day. My business partner suggested I come in one day to do some simple printing, normally I go to Office Depot. After the first visit, I will never go anywhere else! Super friendly (no matter how busy they were) , super quick to help on any project, love this store! Bad customer service. Wouldn't let us handle our own packages and when we asked them to tape boxes up they said it wasn't in the "job description"... it's a fricken print and SHIP.... no explanations, had to drive an extra 20 min to a different fedex who let us use tape and handle everything like normal... read more

Angie who works there is the worst costumer service person I have ever dealt with. She uses curse words and I have heard her talk negatively about other costumers. She's been rude to both myself and my husband on several occasions after messing up the orders. Instead of trying to correct them she just avoids you. I will avoid this location at all costs. read more

Wanted to get a photo printed for craft project. My normal store is closed on the weekends so I came here. Waste of time. First they told me that I'd have to pay extra to have the photo sized as I wanted it. The saving grace was that they said they wouldn't charge me this time. They then printed it and it looked awful - terrible quality. I left empty handed, feeling that I wasted my time. Won't go back. read more

Bad, bad, bad customer service. Apparently "helping" customers is too much work. If you don't like your job, please quit. Chris was a helpful employee but avoid Kahlena. If you want eyes rolled at you and someone telling you they can't do their job because it's "too much" work, go here. O how I wish UPS was open on Sundays because I would switch my corporate account. But no I have to suffer with the only mailing service that is available on Sundays. Tip: wait till Monday and send through a UPS store. read more

Post office was busy so I thought I would take my packages to FedEx. Big mistake! She took my big box and it rattled. I told her it had an EBox and 17 games and she heard the games moving around. She had to cut the box open to see for herself and then wanted to charge me to rewrap it. Went to the Post office instead. Nicer people there anyhow. read more

Paid premium price to have something overnighted. I was told it would arrive by 3:00 the next day. Unfortunately, it never showed. When I called to inquire, I was told it was still at their facility and was getting ready to be picked up. The new anticipated arrival was the next day by 8:00 pm. Which of course did me no good. I was put on hold multiple times, someone new picked up each time requiring me to repeat my story. I was told I could not speak to a manager because they weren't there. I was pushed off to customer service. Twenty minutes and two more transfers, I got a guy who could barely speak English. No apology, no refund, no package as promised. If you call ahead and make sure Tabi is in, you'll get great service. She did whatever it took to make sure the prints I needed turned out right. If you call and find Gabi is in, RUN AWAY!! So my four stars here are definitely for Tabi, because when I came back later to get more prints made and I walked in, Gabi turned around from her rock music in the back of the room and looked at me and my son with that look of dismay that clearly said "Why'd you have to bother my perfect evening of doing nothing?" When I now needed more of the same prints I got earlier from Tabi, I had to show Gabi how to mirror my prints in the printer settings because she said she was going to charge me $10 to mirror them in Adobe. Then I had to show her how to window select the files on the screen so she could batch select rather than select one by one and avoid checking all the settings each and every time. Then the prints came out not full size, then oversized, and finally she said she just couldn't do it. Meaning I'd have to come back and have Tabi do it because she'd already proven earlier it could be done. Why is FedEx Kinkos hiring and paying someone who cannot make prints or even group select files and batch plot? They could hire the QT guy - those folks are more professional, or get a chair. At least that way I'd have somewhere to sit while I do the job for them. And by the way, she did say "Hi - welcome to Kinkos" to the lady who walked in after me who had to patiently wait 20 minutes for Gabi to do six of the eight prints I needed. So I don't know why she gets a greeting and I get the silent treatment and a dirty look just for walking in. I had to wonder if she's ever going to have kids, because even getting pregnant requires some motivation. read more
