Five stars for amazing customer service. I was approached three times, (3x), by associates asking me if they could assist me in finding what I was looking for. I was shopping for two unusual items and their assistance resulted in my purchasing. This store has figured out that if a customer walks in the door, they likely are looking for something to purchase. They also look at what the customer is doing. If wandering around, as I was, they probably need assistance. I'm impressed with how this Office Depot store has adjusted their internal operations to compete with online shopping. I needed just 2 copies made and our printer was broken so I got online uploaded the document I needed and Office Depot had it ready the same day. When I picked up the orders the line was not really long however, there were enough customers there that called for another employee to help but the female was working by herself. I probably stood in line for 10 minutes waiting and I expected the employee to be friendly but I provided her with my last name she handed the copies over and there was no communication between the two of us. I paid $1.30 online for the two copies (thicker paper was used) so I did not have to pay when I went in there. I don't get copies made enough nor have I had anything specialized to know how they would do professionally. read more

I went in to look for a computer desk and chair. I was promptly helped by friendly customer service and found a desk for a good price. The chair I liked was $400 which seemed a little pricey although it is good quality. The person that helped me offered to look online for a lower price to price match. They looked and saw that there was a lower price online ($279). I was happy with that price. Overall, a very pleasant experience with very friendly staff. The way the staff communicated between each other seemed to le like they were a good team as well. Good prices, helpful/friendly staff, and clean environment. 10/10 read more

The store has downsized over the years, focusing more on everyday office and school supplies along with a few specialty items. I really appreciate that they haven't changed locations like so many other establishments are doing. This is the only store that sells the large ream of colored paper my daughter needed for school. They're prices may not always be the best, but they are competitive. read more

Businesses complain about the lack of customers visiting their stores, instead using online services. Today, my husband and I went into the local Office Depot in Montgomery, AL., to have several sheets laminated. My husband went to the printing department where this work is done. He had a question before he requested the work order and signing in. Two employees were standing in the department getting small amounts of paper out of a box, then shaking the paper and guessing the weight, then the other person would do the same. Both employees knew my husband was standing at the counter but did not acknowledge him until after couple walked up and then told him he needed to sign in. They immediately waited on the couple. My husband had signed in, then told them he had work he had wanted them to do, but since they would not acknowledge him, he would take his business elsewhere. He then requested to speak to the manager. After several minutes, we walked from the side of the store and looked like he had been asleep. My husband explained his experience with the two employees in the printing department. He never spoke a word. He just stood there and barely moved his head. By the way, I also had picked up several items to purchase, but put the items back. We will take our office supply business to other local businesses. We just recently purchased two office desks from Office Depot. This is one of the worst examples of customer service I have ever experienced. What's the problem with workers today? Are they being trained properly? Do they want to work or do they just want a pay check and know it's difficult for employers to fire employees today? Maybe, businesses need to look at Chick-fil-A's training guide! Have you ever been to Chick-fil-A and not be greeted like they mean it. All of their employees act like they care you are there and want to serve your needs. And, you are never over looked. If Office Depot located on Vaughn Road in Montgomery, AL continues to handle customers like they did us, they will soon be hanging a "Store Closing" sign in the door, like they did their Ann Street location. read more

I was overcharged by more than $100 on copies. When I brought it to their attention, I was told "it costs more." I came into the store rather than purchasing online because I wanted to see which paper type I preferred before ordering. I went ahead and spoke to the sales associate rather than completing it online, since I was already in the store. When I selected my paper and handed over my file, requesting 10 copies, I asked how much it was. I was told copies start at a certain price and my paper would make it more. Obviously, I knew a paper upgrade would make it more, but I was not certain what that was. I was never given a total. Then she started walking away so I had to call out that I needed it to be double sided and in color since I didn't realized we were through talking. I got a response of "oh, you need it double sided?" At this point I had no idea what I was going to end up with. I was then told to go walk around for 10 minutes. I expected to see one copy before printing all of them, but I wasn't given the opportunity. I suppose I should have asked for everything before giving them my file. I was then charged for twice the amount of pages in my paper upgrade rather than half even though it was double sided. My online quote was half the price of the in store one. Do not go to this store for copies. They do not care about ripping you off and will not fix it. read more

If I could I would give 0 stars. I dropped my PC off at 12PM on a Saturday for diagnostics. They said it would take at minimum 2 hours and that they would call me when it's done. 5 hours later and no call so I call them and the person who answers did not give any info on the diagnostics other than the fact that it is still going and that they would call when done. Wait another 3 hours and forty five minutes and it's 15Min till closing time so I call again and get told the tech left at 3!!! The next day I call and get told that it is still going and nothing so far has been found. On Monday I start getting annoyed. No call no actual info on the diagnostics. I call around 6PM on Monday and get told that it has been done for a couple of hours now. They have a site that you can enter your order number and get told if it's still going and the site said service in progress AFTER I called them and got told it was finished. Not good service at all. Avoid if you can. read more
