Clean, well organized, and well lit store. An employee was there to greet me when I walked in and he helped me find exactly what I was looking for! I was able to get in and out quickly. The store has definitely been updated and redesigned to deal with Amazon and the consolidation of the industry. Easier to find things and clearly marked areas. Downside? Selection is less plentiful, but that's where the future of big box is headed. read more

I bought a calculator here and they were out. They told me I could just get it later in the week. Seeing that was only option to get the calculator, I paid $130.91 in cash upfront. I don't ever get it so I call. Apparently the calculator was never coming they're on backorder. So, I asked for a refund. They however sent out a check instead of giving me cash like I paid because that's a thing? Like the hell? Thing is, never received this check and I got told it was never sent, then it was sent, and just bullshit. Now I've been told I have to wait 2-3 weeks for a fucking check when I paid cash? OfficeMax should have just stayed by themselves I could always get CASH for CASH when taking about a refund. HOWEVER this is a huge problem as I'm a minor. A minor can't cash a check. Now they are saying "oh sorry but nothing we can do." No, that's bullshit. I WILL be getting my cash back rest assured but it's such bullshit that I'm on their time schedule for my money that was basically stolen from me. This place can go fuck itself. I went in looking for a letter opener for an elderly uncle. He can't manage the kind that are like knives anymore; he needs the smaller type with a razor blade concealed in plastic with a plastic spike. I know that's at best a three dollar item, and maybe it's just me, but When the clerks let me wander around for more than five minutes looking for one without offering assistance, then tell me that yes, their online inventory shows there are eight of the item in stock, but oops, seems like we can't find them, so oh well ... and then just walk off? I'm never setting foot in this location again. I went to another location the next day and they knew exactly where it was and were courteous and professional in attitude. This is an example of how a big, big chain can offer the best quality office products at very low prices. Customer service is very good. The printing department is still a bit iffy -- the staff seems a bit baffled by many printing jobs. By contrast, a big plus for Office Depot is their Rewards Program. Many Rewards Program seem to be just a promotion that provides very little to me. But the Office Depot sends me Cash Rewards that don't expire. This saves me real money. read more

I stopped by to make a purchase and apparently stepped past a sign I was supposed to wait behind (I didn't see it). The cashier told me (not asked me) to step behind the sign, using a tone that was much more threatening than pleasing. Then, to make matters worse, she turned to the customer she was taking care of and began talking about me in rather rude terms. I left without making my purchase as I will not stand for rude customer service. I have thousand dollars of copy service I will need over the next six months but I will not return to Office Depot! read more

I went to Office Depot at 105th and Metcalf looking for an office chair. I had already visited another local office supply store which had a limited selection. At Office Depot, I was pleased to find a very large selection of office chairs! The selection was large enough that I needed help choosing one. Denise was awesome! I cannot even put into words how appalled I am by this store. For starters, I'll just comment on how I will be shopping ANYWHERE ELSE for any and all technology or appliance needs from now on. This place is horrible, the manager REAKS of smoked cigarettes and laughs at customer requests. My husband and I had bought a simple HP printer for our upcoming business, it stopped working within about a 7 month period of purchase and we tried to return it. 14 DAY RETURN POLICY. 14-day. Who has a 14 day return policy, first of all.. (?!) second, the rudeness was truly candid as we were directed to the fine print of the return policy. So we asked about the 2 year warranty on it, and I quote from the manager himself, "Yeah that's like for if you break it or something". HELLO? IT IS BROKEN. So we were practically shoved out the door being told that there was nothing they could possibly do because "14 day return policy. Company policy". This is NOT what customer service looks like and I am infuriated that we basically paid for a useless warranty. 0-10 would NOT recommend doing business with Office Depot. read more

I had a couple of posters made at this location. They did alright on making the posters, but I had to call to get an update on when they would be finished. Also, they told me the poster price was $12.99 each (also states this online) and when I checked out, had hiked the price to $13.99 each. They also added a "$2.99" scanning fee that I was not informed of. I told the young man behind the counter that the posters should have been $12.99 and he fixed that. Then I stated that they didn't inform me of the $2.99 fee and this should be communicated to customers before they provide the service. Instead of apologizing, he stated, "everybody charges that, they do it everywhere." Well, they do not. Walgreens for sure does not have a 'scanning fee' when making a poster, as it is built into the price. I did not refuse to pay it, just asked for them to communicate these 'hidden' prices, as they clearly tried to jack up the total without the awareness of the customer. read more
