I found an angel of a lady behind a counter today who went above and beyond . She assisted me labelling and taping up a box for UPS where an ACTUAL UPS drop -off location had majorly flopped . I might never see her again, but I'll always remember her kindness and efficiency . This store has actually helped me a lot over the years and never charged me that much at all! I was telling my son today: when we need to buy office supplies , it might be time to get over here instead of clicking buttons online !!! read more

I went into the store to pick up some items on my way home from work. Items that I had purchased on line. I had intentions of purchasing a three hole punch . . . WHICH because of that woman (rhymes with Witch is more accurate) as I needed one. HOWEVER after drinking my Pepsi all night long, I needed to make a trip to the facilities. I was refused access as there were NO public bathrooms! I pointed out that I had just SPENT money there AND a good deal more in the past! All to NO avail! SO I DO have a three hole punch now . . . BUT from Target, NOT Office Depot! I do NOT ever intend to go there again as CLEARLY I am NOT wanted there! So I will respect (something they do NOT know anything about!) their wishes from here on out and NOT bother them again! I will add in closing that I am nearly 67 years of age, hardly a street bum, but I SURE was treated like one being given the bums rush and all! I do want to add that not all their staff is so rude, but when the manager is that AND more, THAT's is SAD! I will add that I have been in customer service since 1975! So I DO know how to take care of customers, and I NEVER treat mine like that character did me! Good bye and good riddance! You'll be happy to know that I will NOT ever bother you again! For Christmas this year, I ordered my husband a pretty expensive office chair from OfficeDepot.com. I was aware that the return policy on furniture required that the item be unassembled and in the original box. After he opened his present, we made sure to go in store and have him sit on the chair to make sure that it was comfortable and he liked the feel of it. He loved the chair, so we went home and began assembling it. However, on the very last step of assembly (:pulling the plastic off the backing of the chair), we discovered about a 1 inch slice through the leather. Knowing that the return policy required an unassembled item for a full refund/exchange, I was a bit nervous about how much of a hassle the return process would be. We gave this location, a call, and they told us to bring the assembled item in the box to the store and they would help us out. We showed up and the process could not have been more easy and smooth. Abraham, the manager, was so kind and understanding about the situation. The resolution was very smooth and we were able to get a refund in full. Having issues with a large ticket items is never fun, but the customer service of this location was outstanding! The customer service warrants a 5 star for this location! read more

I submitted an online order at 10am. I called to make sure it was received and asked if they could rush it. They said they would. I called at 12:30 and they said they were starting it and would get it done asap. I showed up at 3:00 and both print shop employees were standing around doing absolutely nothing. My job had not been started. I've been standing here for over an hour with no end in sight. Possibly the worst customer service of the year. read more

This store has either a problem with theft or incompetence. This is the third time when employees cannot find an item which shows in stock on the computer. The first two times I went in and it wasn't until I pressed that they found the items, just not where they're supposed to be in the above storage. Sadly this third time was an online order and I don't think they even tried. Or their system is wrong due to someone stealing 12 items of the same thing. There were at least four employees in the store. Not one greeted me or helped me find paper and a laminator. They were all talking to each other instead. They seemed bored and uninterested in helping their customers. They only had one lame laminator with a few plastic sheets--no pouches or smaller sized accessories. Their card stock selection was also limited. I have been one of their supposed rewards members for years, if not decades, yet when I bought $150 with of products, they didn't have any discounts or coupons for me. Wow. read more

An Office Depot is an Office Depot is an Office Depot. So how do you differentiate between locations? Like they say, it's the little things. In this case, the convenient location on 2100 South gives this branch a nudge in the right direction. You've also got to look at the employees and the job they're doing. I mean, I don't care what anyone says--it's got to be draining to deal with people when you work in retail. And especially difficult when it comes to service stuff like their copy center. So kudos to Lynn (oh sheesh, I hope that's her name) for keeping cool when I attacked with a million questions, and for having the patience to sort things out and find the right answer. As the copy center goes, it's good (and generally affordable) for the basic stuff, but for more complicated tasks I'm going to a dedicated shop. Oh, and they have massive bags of rubber bands on the cheap. That's worth something, right? I'm thinking rubber band war. read more

Unlike the previous reviewer I have never had any issues at this Office Depot store. I have shopped here several times and generally been pleased with the product selection, prices, and customer service. Like most office supply stores the layout is a little confusing but if I can't find something I can usually flag down an employee who can help me. read more

So, I am standing at the copy and print counter at your store on about 300 West and 2100 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. I have been in the store for at least 1 hour and 30 minutes waiting for an order that I was told would only take 10 to 15 minutes. As if that is not agrivating enough, I have been sitting near or standing at the counter for more than 40 minutes while being completely ignored. Not one person will acknowledge my presence to give me an update, or tell me what the problem is. Please train your personnel in customer service and COMMUNICATION. I have stood next to 3 other customers that have been helped and left, but not one word to me! I will never return to this location again! Staples ....here I come! read more

I only went in while I was waiting for the Best Buy next-door to open. I found their prices to be competitive and their sales-staff knowledgeable and friendly. Technology has taken leaps forward since I last lived in the U.S. - so I needed a crash-course in bluetooth, wireless printing, etc. I would have bought my HP printer there, except I had an unused router to exchange at the Staple's nearer to my house and that seemed pretty important (it was... it almost cut the cost of my new printer in half!) Little disappointed in the staffs knowledge for this place ! Was looking for five star notebooks 3 subject or more in college rule and took two of them to help me find something ! They were nice enough give them that but not great customer service. Parking lot be aware ! They sit in it waiting to tow or boot people ! Realize this is out of the control of the stir itself and they have posters listed but still makes it hard to feel comfortable shopping there ! I just received the best customer service to date from a retail store. If you need help with anything while at the store ask for Jared, or the store manager, Kent, and they will get you what you need. In detail, there was a mistake made with a product I purchased, and on returning to the store I came to find them closed. My project couldn't wait, so I decided to call and see if there was anything they could do. This Office Depot is the closest to where we live in Sugarhouse and their prices can't be beat. Amazing deals on everything and they can fix computers as well as print things you need printed. They're quick and efficient and opened later than a lot of other print places. It's nice to have a one stop shop for all academic and work needs! read more

Horrible! I went in to mail two packages. The girl who helped me didn't know what she was doing. It took an hour to ship two packages, I thought it would be faster then going to the post office, I was wrong. Other customers came in while she was helping me and she left me to go and help them. poor service rude and callus employees. didn't greet me just told me "get in line" I couldn't tell where the line was so I waited by the wall out of the way. after all the customers were finally gone they just ignored me.all I wanted was to get a shipping label cause I don't have a printer. finally I got mad then they made a small effort to allow me to print my label. this has happened every time I go into this store on 21st south. thats why I got so upset. all the other times I had to explain my self and be super sweet. I had never been into this particular location before today, and unfortunately I doubt I'll go back. I was going into Best Buy next door when I saw the big yellow signs for clearance sale. Definitely interested in possibly picking up some killer deals, I went in. I have to say I was greeted prior to my bad moment by 3 different male employees, who were all incredibly polite and helpful. It wasn't until about 20 minutes in that I found myself in the back corner of the store where a female employee was working. I asked her if they had a restroom that I may use? She literally replied, " we do, but it is for us and for our customers." Taken aback, I explained that I'd been looking at the sales for twenty minutes, and just hadn't found what I wanted just yet, but I wasn't finished either. Her response made me first loathe her, then feel sorry and ashamed for her. She replied, "Well then, like I said, it's for our customers."
