I don't really recall how I found TBP but when I had my first visit I was very pleased to find an office supply store that carried all of the basics that any office might need. In addition to office supplies it looks to be a small haven for teachers and such. They have lots of supplies that a school would find use. Working near the downtown area you quickly find that there really are extremely few places that are convenient, where you don't have to get on the highway and drive out to a mega chain. Don't get me wrong. I love perusing the ballpoint pen aisles ate large office supply stores but when I need something quick and close I want just that. Quick and close. The ABP staff all seems to be very friendly and knowledgeable and if they don't carry something you are looking for they will gladly place an order for you. On top of all that they seem to be local and to my surprise, have been around in the same location since 1974! Well, that's what the website said. See below. Having once purchased a new, HP cartridge from Wal-Mart several months ago for $25+, I vowed never again to get hosed for ink again (Side Note: I thought Wal-Mart is supposedly a discounter?!). This "Wal-Mart Experience" is how I happened to discover InkSell San Pedro via a quick Google search. I recently visited this location because I needed to ship something out and noticed this Office Depot offers FedEx shipping services. As soon as I walked in I asked one of the members if they could help me and she quickly told me they could do it, however I needed to purchase an envelope because they couldn't package it for me like they would do in a regular FedEx location. So I followed her instructions, bought the envelope, even got some tape to make sure the package would be okay during transit and when I asked another staff to help me send the package she said she didn't know how to do it and that she wasn't even sure they could do it. Please note there are HUGE FedEx signs all over the store and whole section just focused on FedEx. Even though I pointed out that someone else made me buy an envelope at the store in order to ship the items, she still said I needed to go to an actual FedEx location. Frankly the only reason why I am not giving them one star is because they did have a really nice selection of items compared to other stores. But their lack of knowledge in their own services was pretty annoying to say the least.
