Excellent service experience when purchasing furniture for new office with outstanding assistance from Mary. I spent multiple days perusing the selection trying to get the most for my money. I purchased a reception desk but still needed to fill another office. I had almost settled on new furniture but it was really above my budget. OUTSTANDING experience with Desks Galore. I had been shopping for an executive desk for a couple of days. I was gritting my teeth and putting up with the shopper stalkers at other stores in the city, because I needed something fast. But few stores had quality desks. The few that did wanted to take my money, then make me wait for 6-8 weeks. (If Sweet Brown were still popular, she would remind you that "Ain't nobody got TIME for that!") Don't be fooled by your first look at Desks Galore's warehouse ... They have both new and used furniture, and LOTS of it. Where other stores have a flashy showroom full of displays you have to wait weeks for, Desks Galore has a no-frills showroom with stuff you can buy right now! So naturally, the area where the used stuff sits looks a bit less flashy. But if you're looking for a used desk, they will have LOTS of options at a fraction of the price of the other stores. Their showroom for new furniture looks a bit more polished. And they still have WAY more options than other stores ... But what's important is that they have everything IN STOCK! You can pull up with a truck and drive off with it, or have them deliver it within a day or two for a small fee. (By the way, they have flat-rate delivery. Whether you buy one item, or a truckload, it's the same price.) I was greeted by a wonderful woman named Patty, who clearly enjoys her job (or at least does a good job of acting like it.) She helped me find the right desk for me, and she did so without making me feel like I was being pressured or otherwise upsold. ... I genuinely felt like she cared that I found the right desk. I met Frank and David, who each took the time to confirm that the items I was interested in were in stock, and they also had the foresight to ask about any delivery challenges like stairs or narrow doorways/hallways before I decided on a purchase. I went in looking for a single used desk, but ended up buying a full set of new office furniture for what I was about to pay for one desk at another store. I refuse to believe I'm a sucker, so I'm convinced that Desks Galore just provides good service to deliver good products at good prices, NOW (not 6-8 weeks later.) They had me scheduled for delivery less than 48 hours after purchase. The delivery driver called me 30 minutes out, just like Patty said he would. When the driver came, he first met with me to confirm how I wanted my home office setup. I had planned on giving him a warning about making sure they don't damage my brick steps during delivery, but before I could mention it, he brought it to my attention first (making me feel like he knew what he was doing.) He and his partner muscled the heavy desk, bookshelves and cabinets up the stairs by hand, never touching anything, with no damage to steps/banister/walls or the hardwood floors. Once the set was in the room, they were patient with me as I asked to move things around to get them just right. I came here a couple of weeks ago to get an early father's day present for my dad who had been wanting a comfortable desk chair. Desks Galore is a warehouse with a HUGE selection of new and used furniture. The staff are very friendly, helpful and aren't pushy about making a sale, which I really appreciate. After finding the perfect desk chair for my dad I asked one of the staff and she quickly helped me check out. There was a little confusion about which item number I wanted (they originally brought out the wrong chair to my car), but luckily we caught the mistake and were able to get the right item. The staff member who helped us was kind enough to offer us cold bottled water while we waited for the right chair to be brought out to our car. This place is a dump. I will never recommend this place to my family or friends. This is not in a good area of town. 35K square feet of furniture seems a bit far fetched to be honest. This place was more expensive than I had thought it would be. I saw one desk I liked, but for the desk and hutch it was over $2K for both pieces. This place was also hot inside except the area where the new furniture must be because it was air conditioned. My mom said after we left and got into the car how dumpy this place was. I will never consider this place for any furniture in the future. I saw commercials of this place and to think this its the same family that ran National Furniture a long time ago is truly a shame to say the very least.
