My husband and I believe that when warranted, it is just as important to compliment as it is to register a complaint. With that said, OG SMOKE SHOP is, hands down - THE BEST! When you walk in you can pretty much immediately tell that this is not your typical "run of the mill" smoke shop. We have all had to deal with the unfortunate stereotype, the seedy, dark hole in the wall run by a "lazy stoner" with all the personality of a wet cardboard box.. In contrast, OG Smoke shop takes that stereotype and stomps on it! This place is well-lit, with an open, inviting store layout and in general the shop is just pristine. I have no idea how they keep everything dust-free and all of the glass cases fingerprint and smudge free to boot! Each and every time my husband &/or I have come into the store, we walk away well pleased. The woman that works there takes the time to greet everyone as they walk in and seems genuinely happy to help &/or answer any questions. The staff are available when needed, but they don't hover - which is really appreciated! During our most recent trip to OG the woman (the manager?) that helped us even remembered us from our last visit - a long time ago! She was friendly and knowledgeable, even saving us from making the dreaded glass nail mistake that so many have apparently made. Bottom line, we have been to a LOT of shops in the area and OG SMOKE SHOP IS JUST THE VERY BEST!! (I am noting OG as MODERATELY PRICED, but it really depends on how crazy you go.) read more

They just seem like they're too cool for school at this shop, and they're always like in the middle of eating or watching something online or tv or whatever every time I've come in. Never very enthusiastic about making a sale. Anyway, I've been scoping different smoke shops out because I was getting ready for rather larger purchases (vape mod, dry herb vaporizer, dab pen etc.), and decided to try another spot a couple of miles away on Las Tunas. Terrible experience. Bought a large Santa Cruz grinder at discounted price. When I get home, I come to find out that the bottom( Kief catcher) was threaded wrong and I could not detach it. I used it once and brought it back to OG Smoke Shop and was told that i had to reach out to the manufacture directly. I bought the grinder and came back to the store within 10 minutes and they would not replace it. I understand that the manufacture is the only help I can get since I used it once, but why was OG Smoke shop selling this hardware that was clearly broken to begin with? I like how this is probably the most nicely kept smoke shop I've ever been in. Their selection is huge and they pretty much got you covered for whatever it is you need. The staff know their stuff and are professional. They didn't seem like they smoked a bowl 5 minutes ago like at the other shops I've been going to. I am a regular at their Azusa location, however I was in the area and heard their selection at this location was better. Truth! These guys have everything, w/ the know how. Learned alot about different shisha and hardware. I only came in for a small hookah but when I saw their Khalil Maamoon, I had to buy it. I'd never own such a large hookah (my last one was a small $20 set) but Ben explained to me the difference and really knew his stuff. I didnt plan on buying anything else, but once I saw thier unique pieces and hardware I had to cop a few toys. I felt like they completely took care of me. I've stopped by this place a few times. My visits were ok, I was definitely taken back by the selection given everything they have. The last time I went was 4/20/2015, it was my day off and I was excited to treat myself to a little gift since it was a special occasion, at least to me lol. I arrived at 9am since yelp says they open at that time only to find out that they really open at 10am. Not an issue, so I wait the hour. 10am hits and I walk in, tell the nice lady who opened the store what my budget is and what I'm looking for. Within seconds she points me in the right direction and an hour later i end up spending double what i originally planned to. I bought a torch, glass piece, and i decided to take the plunge and purchase a health stone nail due to how highly the lady spoke of it. Then I got home.....the torch didn't work, not a problem I took it back the next day and they exchanged it for another. Then that same night, I hear a pop as I'm heating up the nail. I look down and see a big crack going from the top all the way down to the bottom....a little irritated I take it back expecting the same promptness in taking care of the issue as they had previously, only to be told that they can't exchange it. Why? because it's glass but they could give me a great deal on another nail! so I say, "ok, how about this nail?" I point at another one (they were the same price $75.00) "that one would only be $50 for you" is what I was told. So I'm standing there like that's it? Wth? Are you serious? This apparently came straight from the owner. Yeah right as if I'm going to spend more money at your shop. It was definitely more of a slap in the face. The least that could've been done was you guys replacing it given THAT IT HAD ONLY BEEN 2 DAYS, but that seemed far beyond what they owner was capable of. Stay away from the expensive glass, seems like they use the "SOH" policy if something goes wrong. read more

First time I went in was when I was water pipe hunting. Unfortunately, I did not find a bong of my liking so I left empty handed. Second time I went in, which was the most recent, I didn't go in to shop for much. I just went in for a simple K clamp for my bong which I had just purchased from another store. The guy behind the counter, which was the only Asian guy working there, helped me out big time. Even though he sold me the wrong size K clamp, he still went out of his way to shuffle through all his supplies (including his display cases) just to find me the right size for my bong.
