    Rolls.

Wanted to try something new. Wasabi Chi is our go to, but I'd read good things about Oh Sushi and decided to give them a shot. I'd heard the rumors of all you can eat sushi.... But just kind of blew it off. Must be just house rolls or budget items. Nope. It's almost EVERYTHING on their menu with one rule. No leftovers. No taking it home. And depending on how much you leave there may be an additional charge. If you order it you better eat it. 1 - Order of fried crab 2 ~ Orders of jalapeño bombs 1 - Order of gyoza on fire 1 - Anger management roll 1 - Incredible Hulk roll 2 - Black Panther rolls 1 - Dante's inferno roll 1 - 007 roll This place should be called OMG Sushi! Quality food. Great service. And bang for your buck! The restaurant itself is nicely simple. Table and chairs with chair, bench, and table combos along the wall. Ample parking nearby. We were greeted promptly after walking in shortly after opening, seated, and the menu and AYCE option was explained to us. There's a small host station towards the front and the sushi bar is towards the rear of the restaurant. The food was wonderful and the wait between rounds was short. I thought for sure there had to be some catch. Make them sit and drink so they get full faster.... So not our experience. The rolls are not small. My favorite was the Black Panther roll. Heather's was the Anger management roll. We both loved the jalapeño bombs. The Dante's inferno roll was good but the heat was lack luster. For being verbally warned how hot it was.... The Incredible Hulk roll was hotter. The sauce with the gyoza on fire though.... That hits you with both fists. A sweet tease on your tastebuds and then the fire. $55 and change before tip. The AYCE option is $25.99 per person. We had a great experience here from start to finish. We both said we will definitely be back. https://ohsushi.org/

100% will be returning & bringing all of our friends & family. I can't say enough nice things about our experience! Our server was the most sweet & kind women, I bombarded her with so many questions & of course everything she suggested was delicious. We got an appetizer, tried their Sake - both blueberry & white peach (highly recommend white peach if you're a sweet lover) & 2 rolls each with their Oreo desert. Their entire store is a cute set up & looks very updated. We loved their wall of greenery & flowers, very photogenic. All of their rolls were named so fun, and we kept a menu just to continue going through our options. We stayed a bit late & the chef himself took over for our table & he was so incredibly sweet. We had the greatest experience truly. I am a huge sushi fanatic and will be returning many more times.

4 roll deal - AMAZING price for delicious sushi!

First time trying this spot and it was recommended by my 14 year old nephew who is a very picky eater. Got the 4 roll deal ($35.99) for ANY 4 rolls: Dragon roll: Regular price: $12.50 - eel, avocado, cucumber, crab is typical on lots of menus across the metro and it was just as good as any other. I liked that it wasn't drowning in the sauce. Poseidon roll: Regular price: $13.50 - spicy tuna, crab, eel, topped w/ seared tuna, avocado and soft green crunch was a great mix of flavors and delicious. I would definitely get this one again. Die Hard roll: Regular price: $13 - spicy scallop, jalapeno, albacore, gobo topped w/ spicy tuna had a bit of a kick but wasn't too spicy. Spicy tuna roll: Regular price: $7 - spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado was just as tasty as in other places with crunch from the cucumber and creaminess from the avocado. Overall, delicious sushi and the 4 roll deal is amazing!

All you can eat sushi, and it's not "buffet sushi". All they ask is that you eat what you order or you pay extra. Loved everything and will be going back

Pretty woman: okay, cucumber too thick and was not liked - removed from other pieces Leaving Las Vegas fried roll: excellent Harry Potter baked roll: okay, small. Didn't notice a difference in baked to unbaked Avengers: lemon citrus is good touch to crab shrimp tuna Oceans Eleven: good(kind of timing together with similar ingredients) Eagle Eye: good(kind of timing together with similar ingredients) Golden California frier roll: light breading of outer salmon, was better warmth,

Philly roll (closest) Dante's inferno (middle) and 007 (in the back)

The atmosphere is nice, modern, sleek lounge. Really like the small design elements, from the lights to the things such as the soy sauce container, sake glasses and chopsticks. Had the Lychee Hana sake. A little sweet and smooth. We ordered miso soups. The broth was very flavorful. We also order the Philly Roll, Dante's Inferno and the 007. They were delicious and big. So they are quite filling. Dante's inferno had a little heat that lingers but really good. Now I've always heard when it comes to sushi it's all about the rice, now let me tell you, the bits of rice I ate apart from the roll was delicious; I might order a little bowl next time just so I can taste it on its own. The only things that's a little confusing is the menu. Could be written and laid out a little better.

I enjoyed this all you can eat sushi. Had 3 rolls and a salad. All three rolls were good but I especially liked the bronco. Cucumber salad was small but you can't complain with all you can eat. Plum wine was also very good and not too sweet. We will be back.

    Something spicy!

Went here for lunch. Service was great. Plenty of tables. Both rolls were amazing! Wish they had a full bar and cocktails. Recommendation for restaurant: Consider condensing the menu into smaller pages if you ever re-print new ones. This is funny, but when you're in a booth and someone is across from you, you can not look at the menu because it's so big unless you turn to the side.

All day Sunday. Generally make it here every time that I get to town. If you had told me how much time I would have spent in Des Moines twenty years ago, I would have said you are nuts. Rolls range from $6.50 to $10.75 on HH. Had the Cali Roll and Crunchy L.A. tonight. Both great. No cucumber on either. Nothing ruins a good piece of sushi like Cucumber. Glass of Chard for $6.50. Leaving pleasantly full and looking forward to my next visit.

It's lightly fried with a delicious mango sauce that compliments it perfectly. I never thought I'd enjoy a mango flavor on a sushi roll but it works. Also, the chicken crunch salad is good although there is a bit of an aftertaste. Not sure what it's from. The service is usually pretty good, food comes out quick and you can usually get waited on pretty quickly. I've been there for lunch mostly though. I like the vibes inside, it's always so clean, with plenty of seating inside and there is even outdoor seating if that's your thing. I am definitely a fan and plan to be back again soon! You have to stop by if you're ever downtown or just looking for a good sushi restaurant in DSM.

With time running out on a Sunday evening, we knew we wanted sushi and Akebono was still open so we decided might as well give it a shot. This was quite possibly the best dining experience I've ever had the opportunity to enjoy. Our server Nick picked up on the date night vibes immediately and knew exactly what to do. Curating the entire meal for us, every single bite he brought to our table was everything we wanted and more, from the tempura shiso leaf hamachi serrano to the torched tuna nigiri as the final bite. One of a kind conversation and etiquette through the entire service, exceptional food produces by the chefs, and the corner table on the patio made for a date night we won't soon forget. I used to go to that restaurant once a week. That restaurant is the mother ship.. I would rotate between Cafe Fusion and Thai Flavors. Liam has become quite a entrepreneur of Thai restaurants he is the major owner of Cool Basil Banana leaf, and Thai Flavors on Ingersoll. He is really worked hard to have very large restaurants that serve delicious Thai food. It's conveniently located along East 14th in a strip mall with limited parking It can be a busy place so depending on the time of day lunch or dinner you may have to walk a little from your parking spot to the restaurant. The restaurant is clean and.older but the food is still great It is similar menu items to his other restaurants. On this particular day I had red curry chicken, I.have had it at all his restaurants and it's consistently good. I always like to support a locally owned business. Liam has developed quite a system and serving large amount of people at all his restaurants although the East 14th restaurants still has that old mom and pop kind of feel. When he first opened this first restaurant there were not that many Thai restaurants around town. Now he's open many himself and there are other many quality Thai food restaurants around town I think all of his restaurants have some healthier menu including fresh vegetable dishes. I believe they all have vegan dishes as well. Of course the restaurant has pot stickers basil stir fry, pad thai, and other traditional Thai restaurant dishes. There is lots of variety in the menu. It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. Having said that the service was fast and efficient . It's also about being realistic about the food. The food was served quick and hot. I would definitely check this place out. If you're in the area it's well worth a visit It was fun to visit an old neighborhood friend
