We really enjoyed this stop!!! Some of the machines were broken and there were lots of signs about the no refunds or no service for certain reasons, but I understand that it's a business! And everytime we had an actual issue with a machine, we didn't have any problems with the staff. They were friendly, fixed it, and did it quickly. It costs $3.95 for admission per a person. They charge for 2 years old and up. And then you can pay 5 cents for a cup to put all the nickels in that the kids play. So it's a reasonable price for using all the machines. My kids, 3 and 6, had the BEST time. But it wasn't because of the machines. It was because this arcade has ACTUAL tickets and coins to play the games!!! And there was a ticket eater machine that they could redeem their tickets. My son said that this was his best arcade, even though there were fewer selections and prizes than places like Chuckie cheese. It was the tickets and coins for the machines that were amazing. No digital cards that they couldn't see and points added to a card that they didn't understand. The tickets came out of the machine and they had to carry them everywhere, which they thought was so amazing and fun. As for the games themselves, there were lots of video games with no tickets, but they looked like games for older kids like racing and DDR or shooting. There we lots of little kids games where we spent $5 per kid and they played for an hour and could've stayed longer if we let them! The games ranged from 1 to 4 nickels. Most of games that lasted a bit longer were 3 nickels or if they were newer games it was 3 nickels. But there were a lot of games that were 1 nickel and game plenty of tickets, especially if you get a jackpot!!! Restrooms were clean and we were able to find parking easily. It felt like a safe place too so not sketchy. But no food or drinks are allowed--you can bring water though. Anyways, I think it is worth a stop if you are in the area! My kids gave it 5 stars. We had a good time. It's just a little older and not fancy--but sometimes those are the most interesting!

First time here and I had fun. It seems weird that there's an admission fee. Overall it's a unique outing. Pros Games are 1-4 nickel's depending on the game. Clean Unique Cons Admission $4 per person Quite a few games were out of order Some of the games ate my money Poor prize choices for tickets

More broken games than games that actually work. No refunds and there is an entry fee to get in.

The Nickel Arcade has been here before I was born! I remember as a little my dad and mom would take my sister and I here for some family fun! I am so happy that my sisters and I are able to pass on the tradition of going to the Nickel Arcade. You can't help but to love this place. It has an old vintage feel to it. Some games don't work but still it's a great place to have some fun. My favorite is air hockey. Which I won hands down to my niece. Although she was pretty good. We were so competitive that she hurt her little princess finger as the puck smashed her finger due to the force. One of the workers gave her a bandaid and she was set to go and have fun again. The dude was happily playing all the games. A worker paid a few times for my niece to play games which the hospitality is awesome here! When we first arrived there was not a lot of people but as time went on it was packed as people were coming due to birthday parties. We won a bunch of tickets and my niece had a blast cashing them out. We were able to pick a prize which my niece got upgraded to pick any prize she wanted and since we went in October she picked a cute little Witch and left a happy camper. Overall, this place is a lot of fun and definitely Family Friendly. My parents love it. I love it. My family loves it! What's not to love about an Nickel Arcade! I hope this place continues to remain open as this is one of Fresno's special Gems!

This is always a place where kids can go and for $20. They could be there for a very long time depending on the game that they're playing.

Ask the Community - Oh Wow Nickel Arcade

Are there any claw machines and if so are they easy to win?

Yes! There are a couple hard ones but if you are wanting an instant win every time there is a candy one. You will get something every time even if it's a tootsie roll

Is there a price admission if so how much money?

Admissions price when I went in January 2020 was $2.95 each person.

It's been years since we've been to Dave and Busters, and the first time ever in town. It was…read moreactually in San Diego that we first went before the one in Fresno was built. So yeah, that long. I'm on vacation this week and didn't want it to be a stay-cation. In fact, I was hoping to get away for at least an overnight trip. I was thinking, Santa Cruz, Tahoe, Lots Angeles even. I shoot my ideas over to my wife and she says, I was thinking Dave and Busters. Clearly we were on different pages. But I understand where she is coming from, and as you can see, her idea won out. We don't tell the kids where we are going. They just know we are going somewhere for lunch and that it's a surprise. We pull up and my youngest says, I've always wanted to come here! We drive past it every week on the way to gynastics so I shouldn't have been surprised. The older kids barely remember going to D&B as kids, so it's a treat for them too. We walk in and we get the biggest gift ever by a guy with his boys walking out. He has an all day pass that he wants to give to us. We can use it for tickets, but the games will be free. We come to find out that there is a 30 second freeze on the card in between uses, but we learn to adjust. But I'm getting ahead of myself. We order our food, ensuring that we order from the menu where we can get a game card. Best bang for our buck. I got the crispy chicken sandwich with Buffalo sauce. Three of my kids got cheese burgers and my wife got the wings. Everyone enjoyed their food. What my son and I really wanted was the Buffalo chicken sandwich that comes with blue cheese, but it didn't come with a game card. In addition to the free all-day card we received, we ended up with 4-$10 gaming cards, but those go quick! Like, 15-20 min. Mostly by my daughter playing games that earn tickets. My oldest is more interested in skill games. There's one in the middle where you step on lights on the ground or touch them on the wall. We did that one as a family. Lots of fun. We spent about 2 hours there. I'm sure the boys would have stayed longer if they could but my daughter was winding down. Before we leave, we pass the all-day card to another family. Let them benefit from it too

Food came out on time but no mustard or ketchup or any dipping sauce came out with it. She also charged my guest a soda and I paid for unlimited soda for my guest in the contract. We repeatedly asked our server and she just kept saying she will get it. She was very forgetful the whole time. She also kept telling us she was working a double shift and that she's tired not sure why we need to know that information also she would take 25 mins to bring in our drinks and then she would say "I'm just one person I can't carry everything" which I felt was very rude and I know everyone else did. We ended up asking a gentlemen walking by to help us out with dips and sauces for the food and drinks and he did which was so kind of him. We spent over $500 on my mom's party and the server was just not the best. Very sweet girl but Brooklyn seemed like she was overwhelmed and didn't want to do it. Also my guest all had different tabs for drinks and she got our drinks mixed on different tabs and told us she couldn't fix it and if they don't mind just paying for somebody else's drink. When closing out the tabs she was telling us to leave a tip here (on the screen) and didn't give anybody receipts after we asked for them. And we find out the next day from Tere the event coordinator that there's an automatic gratuity charge of %20 on each guest tab because we are a party.. which was very unfortunate because we were not told that and we were still tipping her at the end on the card. Randy was the only one who told me when signing my contract and paying remaining balance that there's an automatic tip no need to tip. But I didn't know it applied to all my guest tabs when they were ordering drinks as well. Very inconvenient and the event coordinator should let people know there's automatic gratuity for everyone in your party and every transaction because you guys are a party. The managers were amazing but the server was not the best at all. And now I know for the future and I'll make sure to share that if you book a party here request two servers and that there's automatic gratuity in each transaction we do because we are a party.

They charge $20 for even a baby which I was surprised. I heard it was cheaper to book through Groupon but only difference you get a free hot dog and drink with regular purchase. They also required us to have the grip socks. It had to be their type of socks not our own which I was a little annoyed about. The place was huge. I heard they renovated. They had a giant kids area with tons of toys, costumes, and doll houses to play with. The kids zone even had their own obstacle course and three big slides and a ball pit. They also have private room for birthday parties or events. The regular trampoline area was big and had so many trampolines. Some spots were even flat ground. They had a couple basketball hoops which was fun to play at. There was a regular obstacle course with rock climbing, spinning on ropes, and etc. There was a few massage chairs for use but you had to pay to use it. We wanted to get our free hot dogs around 7pm but it was strange they closed the cafe area super early when the place opens till 9pm. An employee still helped us and gave us our food and drinks but we were not. allowed to inside the cafe. We ended up eating at tables around the trampoline. They had an arcade and toy prize area but no one was working there. Lastly, there was a giant foam pit which was really hard to get out in my opinion. Overall, it was a fun place to go for kids and adults but expect to get really tired and hot.

There is so much to do there! Not to mention that you can go to Groupon and pay even less for a day of fun. Since my last review they've added a huge jungle gym in the back with a row of ropes to climb on. Kids town is FULL of toys for imaginative play and a jungle gym for toddlers as well. There is a music station, book station, a pretend store, pirate ship, school bus, dress up station, and so much more! You can spend all day there! For the older kids and adults there are plenty of trampolines and a foam pit to jump in. There are arcade games, plenty of seating and massage chairs too. I appreciated the mix and match combo in the food area. It was perfect for a small kiddo but teens and adults may want to consider something more. We got a slice of pizza that was pretty small and a slushee that was a bit smaller than the small size. For $5 it was a nice snack to get us through to dinner time. I can see they have done a lot to amp this place up but I feel like the food area doesn't match up. I'm no business owner but I feel like better quality food, bigger portions, and more employees to run the spot would be a huge benefit. I feel like with so much there is to do they could use more employees. I can see the employees have to fill more than just one position. I saw The cashier was also picking up the balls in kids town. No one was watching the trampoline area. The food court was packed with only 2 people working. No one is watching the big jungle gym in the back. They also had to host parties. I guess if you work here you must wear many hats! Kudos to the staff working their butts off! If you visit, please be courteous and keep a watchful eye on your kids. The small amount of time it would take for them to put things back or throw their trash away, I'm sure, would help the staff tremendously.
