This guy is a liar and a fraud. On top of that, his crew damaged my power to the house. He denies any of this, claiming that the water (we have a well) and electric were messed up when they arrived last Friday morning. I have pictures, video, witnesses, and home inspection reports that clear show/state that there were no electrical or water problems prior to "good ol' Eddie" and his crew. I have his "drawing" of the fence dimensions and the digital measurements that show he lied and FAILED. He did put in a MISS DIGG Ticket, as did I. And he told me something was weird and that he would make some calls. I told him in person the day before they did the fence work that the previous owner said that the gas and electric for the main house came in on the back corner. So he overestimated material needed, even given that he shorted me TWENTY-TWO FEET of fence. He did not put it where I wanted...put the gate on one side about a FOOT from the stair case so nothing can go through that gate save for a person going straight up the stairs. He damaged my power, and maybe my well pump and tried to claim it was already bad. I am going through a lawyer and my insurance (his insurance Bois Insurance, seems only there to protect him, not his customers when he screws up) but this guy needs to be reported. On top of everything else, my wife and I are both dealing with some health things AND I am a disabled Vet...something good ol' Eddie was told in passing...apparently he has no problem screwing over people and stressing out people just to gain a quick buck.

I never worry about strange smells or if I've added the wrong amount of chemicals. He or his team are there twice a month and it's always ready to go. This year I took a chance and left it open a little too long. Fall started out mild, so we thought we'd use it at least a few more times. I had a bad feeling once the snow started falling in early Nov. Chris was able to close it after all, and it looks like no damage. Steve proceeded to scope our flue (which I was able to watch on his computer screen) and there were soo many breaks in our flue, we were very nervous. He proceeded to inspect the chimney box (which needed repair also) and then when his crew went up to the top of our exterior chimney, he found that the previous owner had put in face brick instead of actual brick. All of this needed replacing and then in 2 subsequent visits, cleaned (Poultice Creosote Remover) and added FireGuard (a ceramic mortar joint and resurfacing system) to the entire flue and did Crowncoat on the top. And, as a extra benefit, screened the top. We are soo happy with CJW and their service - we will always refer people to your company. Last week (12/11/16) I woke up to a cold house. I checked the thermostat and it was calling for…read moreheat but the furnace was not running. I looked and it was showing a code for an inoperable flame sensor. I have had this problem a couple years ago and all that was needed was to clean the sensor. I cleaned it, and the furnice still didn't run. I removed it and called the shop to see if they had one in stock. I was asked to come in so they could look at the sensor. Upon entering the front door, the receptionist asked to see the part and said that it looked OK to her but would show Ken and see if he thought it was good. Ken came out, we talked about what was happening to the furnace and what I had already done and said that it could probably be cleaned up some more and took it to the back to clean it. When he came back a few minutes later and handed it to me. He also told me a few things to check out and he also gave me prices for the parts that may need to be replaced. When I got home I put the part in and the furnace fired right up and has worked since. The personal attention that I received was top notch and something I haven't seen in a long time from any company. I WILL be going back if needed for service or parts and if any of my friends ask who I would recommend, I will recommend Ken Hardin heating.
