Kamaaina Breakfast

Wow wow wow! We were greeted and treated like royalty in here. The owner was so kind to us. She gave me a gardenia flower to take home and a hug to remember her. She was the sweetest. The food is absolutely outstanding! Left there with no belly ache so you know everything is healthy. The inside is so petite and adorable. Hand painted canvas for sale! Would recommend every single day! Thank you for a wonderful experience this morning

This is a terrific breakfast spot. And the owner just might be THE friendliest restauranteur I have ever met! Here's my list of things you must try: * the orange juice is fresh squeezed when you order it! * the ohana pancakes are absolutely to die for, fluffy and light! * in addition or instead of traditional syrup, try the macadamia syrup! * the veggie omelet was so fresh and flavorful; it was head and shoulders above every omelet I have ever had! You can sit outside on their patio or inside in their spacious dining room. You order at a counter and then they bring the food to you. If you are in a hurry, this is not the place for you. Good, whole food takes time.

When you walk in they say, Aloha! You have two choices you can sit and look over the menu then order up front or order right away when you're ready. Once you order up front the server brings out your drinks then food. Pretty simple and cozy, the food is delicious; I've been waiting to come here for a while. Last time I came was last year, and I've been coming here since 2016. They moved locations last year and I like that it's smaller and more family friendly. I also love the traditional Hawaiian music.

Very Veggie Omelette and their Ohana pancakes

It's a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. I just had water but they have a large variety of beverages and specialty sodas. My food came in about 10-15 mins and it was mouthwatering and perfect. With my pancake I got maple syrup and a macadamia nut sauce. The nut sauce has a condensed milk consistency and isn't overpowering with sweetness but enough to make your mouth water for more of it. The veggie omelette was perfect. The peppers gave a little crunch to complement the various other veggies. The feta was the perfect amount of saltiness to the egg. The fruit was fresh and I will most definitely be back !! They have many gluten free and vegetarian items as well.

I met up with some friends here and it is a very unassuming place on a busy road - but totally worth the stop! Everything on the menu looked delicious - I decided to go with the bahn mi sandwich - the flavors were great and the bread seemed like it was baked fresh! It was outstanding. We also ordered a popover for dessert. This was my first time having a popover and it wasn't my favorite - but everyone at my table loved them! Highly recommend giving this spot a try

The 5-0 Burger with potato salad and veggie fries

My wife and I visited here because we wanted to try something different and Ohana had excellent reviews. We drop off our youngest grandkids at church for Wednesday night kids program at 7 PM then pick them up at 8 PM, so dinner has to be close and quick. Our first visit here because of many excellent reviews and a vegan oriented restaurant that does serve us carnivores. Easy to find, we were surprised to walk in to live music. Turns out we came on the first Wednesday of the month, "ukulele night!" Apparently it's an open mic night for locals to come in and share songs. We expected Hawaiian music, Ohana, but most of the songs were from the 60's so right in our "Boomer" zone. Music was a tad loud but we were seated up front, right by singers. For a first visit we each tried a different Buffalo burger. Mine was the 5-0 burger with a side of potato salad and veggie fries. Fries were identical to those I buy at grocery store. Potato salad was ok, nothing special. Burger, with all on it, was a bit bland. Wish I had ordered Jalapeños on the side. I also tried the Pomegranate soda with simple syrup that was barely sweet for a Southern Sweet Tea drinker. My wife oRdered the Buffalo Teri-burger with a teriyaki sauce. Hers was much better but literally came apart when she halved it to share. She also got potato salad and an Ohana slaw with raisins and pineapple, which was excellent. She did agree that my burger was pretty bland. Service was excellent and fast, especially for the monthly live music night. We will come back and be more adventurous, maybe even try a vegan meal!

Was driving in the area looking for breakfast and so happy to have stopped here. My server Emma was very friendly and attentive all throughout. They have a great menu! Many organic, ethically sourced, home-made, fresh prepared items. A great array of breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, smoothies, baked goodies.. Ordered the Veggie Omelette and gosh was it perfect!!! Much like I'd make at home, but better! Good portion size, loaded with fresh veggies!!! Tasty home fries cooked and seasoned to perfection, sprouted toast, and a serving of fruit (kiwi and pineapple, two of my FAVS!!) They made a fresh pot of coffee when I asked if they had any available,... I mean gosh, most places would give you 8am coffee at noon without blinking lol... Overall had a great meal, fantastic service! A gem of a place :)

Ohana Cafe is an experience beyond food. The food is super fresh and the menu is visually pleasing. We came for the first time and know we will be back for sure. We had the falafel wrap and the Maui Wowie wrap with the Ohana slaw. This food is so good that everyone needs to experience. Theresa makes everything from scratch and she is very health conscious. There are vegan options so please come here if you are vegan or not. The vegan chocolate cupcake was SO amazing it makes you feel love and appreciation for others. Thank you Theresa for sharing your gift of food with us. See you next time.

I LOVED this place! My coworker ordered it to our work and it tasted fantastic! I really loved the fact that they had so many vegan options! I can't wait to actually visit this place one day! I recommend this place to others.

The service here was incredibly slow. The food was mediocre and bland. It was overpriced for the quality. I don't recommend.

I love finding and supporting good small local businesses, and this place definitely earned a return visit. I ordered the Killa Kilauea Fries with extra sauce & a Spam Musubi. The fries were fresh & crispy, what I really liked was that the cheese was mixed throughout instead of just being thrown on top. Everything tasted really fresh, you could actually taste that smoky BBQ flavor in every bite. The extra sauce was worth it too. The service was super friendly, the place is very casual, colorful & the whole experience was just solid from start to finish. Definitely one of those places I'll be stopping at again whenever I'm in the area.

We ate the combo plate and a chicken katsu. We started with a matsubi- it was just as expected! We wish we ordered two! The combo plate was a generous portion and the chicken and pork were tender each with its own delicious flavor. The steak was also tender and good. The macaroni salad was amazing. We didn't love or hate the coleslaw, it was just okay. The chicken katsu was very crispy and flavorful. I loved the small bed of cabbage on the bottom. Overall, we really enjoyed the meal and the prices were very reasonable for the amount of food you get. We were surprised that it wasn't busy at all. We would eat here again and look forward to trying the loco moco.

Huli Bowl - Huli huli bowl with pulled chicken

Huli Bowl

Great friendly service at Huli Bowl inside the new Dunedin Mix Food Hall in Dunedin, FL…read more I ordered the poke nachos with salmon and a huli huli bbq bowl with pulled chicken. My nachos were ok but I didn't care for the rice crackers. All I could think of the texture w was stale. I'm sure they weren't but that texture really wasn't for me. The salmon was good but there was not a lot. Mostly greens with my nachos. My husband felt like his bowl was mostly rice. Dunedin Mix is brand new. Huli Bowl had a location in Orlando for some time. Not sure how long. They were also Poke Rose from what I read somewhere. Poke Rose was in Tampa at the Food Hall that closed. I would definitely want to try other options here because their menu does catch my attention. I do want to point out that there is a Venue fee already tacked on to your bill for 3.99 percent. Not sure if this is just what they call their automatic gratuity or if it is something you can request to take off. Just pointing that out as an FYI. Check it out on my receipt.

My family and I are long-time fans of Huli Bowl, way back from when they were Poké Rose and just…read moreserved bowls. As such, when we heard they were opening at Dunedin Mix, we knew we'd have to make the trip out to see what they were up to! Unfortunately, their bowls have decreased in quality from what they once were, possibly as a consequence of the smaller location in the Mix. Though very fresh, the Tofu Veganite bowl I had was lacking in flavor, and a far cry from my memories of the build-your-own bowls. The salmon poké nachos were nothing special, but again very fresh. To me, the highlight of the meal was the BBQ Chicken Bao Buns--the shift towards rotisserie meats did NOT disappoint, and I wish I'd ordered this three times over instead of the bowl. Despite the food being a little disappointing, the service was great and efficient, and the Dunedin Mix has a great vibe, with a bar at one end and plenty of seating. Be warned that the parking situation is almost indescribably bad--my family and I parked behind the neighboring apartment building and hoofed it. Will I be back? Probably not, unless I find myself really craving the chicken buns--which I might, they were that good.
