Tried this place again. Rolls are interesting and unique but I personally am not a fan. I ordered the happy hour white truffle pork gyoza and regular lobster rangoon (sorry forgot to get a picture). Both were good. I also ordered the happy hour Tampa roll ($8) and the happy hour volcano roll ($12). Both were okay but nothing impressive. At happy hour prices it's worth it but full price I don't think I would order. Service was good. Our waiter was great! read more

I'm going to be honest, I had my doubts but after yesterday and today I'll never again. Everything I was told about this place was true and then some! I was on the fence given my bad experience with restaurants that try to get fancy with its sushi, but this definitely surpassed my expectations. The environment has a nice small-town exterior (fitting for a restaurant in Downtown Dunedin) with a vibrant, cool, cozy interior with minimal lighting that's easy on the eyes. The service is pretty good and they do check to make sure you're enjoying what you ordered, which is a nice touch. In terms of mocktails, on the first day I had the Ginger passion tea which had nice presentation and was just the thing needed to wash down the fantastic spice of, which I sadly forgot to take a picture of, but alas...Next time...The second day I had the "Cucumber Chiller" which, I'll admit, didn't tickle my fancy too much as I'm not one for zest, but it's still a solid #2 on my list! I tried their Spicy Tuna Roll on both days, and much to my pleasant shock...They mean it when they said spicy. Much of their sushi menu appears to be a fusion of Mexican spicing and Japanese uramaki sushi techniques, which I never expected to enjoy so much! I definitely wish to experiment with more of their rolls next time. I also decided to try the pork fried rice, and my goodness, whatever pig they cut up for that rice may not have been able to fly but I sure felt like I was on cloud nine! The rice was crispy, soft, crunchy, flavorful and subtle all at the same time and when it needed to be. Mind you, the lunch portion alone filled me up almost! Just imagine what the dinner would do! Actually, don't imagine that. Just know you'll be good for the rest of the day! Then for desert I decided to try a slice of their Green Tea Cheesecake...Now, interestingly enough, I almost thought it was pumpkin due to the strange flavor contrast between the green tea base and the caramel drizzled. Not what I was expecting but it was still really delicious and I would eat it again in a heartbeat. You don't gotta be a Scorpio like me to be drawn to Pisces Sushi & Global Bistro, that's for sure! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Dunedin...I guarantee you'll be Du"needing" more of this after one bite! read more

First if you love sake and whiskey this place has a TON of them... so much so they use a little tablet in order to show everything which is pretty cool and handy. We sat at the outdoor area which is covered and also has cool water misters if its super hot out. The sushi came out looking pretty good and tasted excellent. Ours had dynamite sushi inside of it and the avocado is like a bowl. Extremely tasty. There are nine different options. Then we had various sushi rolls Every roll the table had was very tasty. Oof this place is going downhill. I've been coming here for 7 years and the rolls have gotten smaller, prices have increased, and more rice then protein in their rolls. I also ordered $90 of takeout recently and I sat at the bar having a drink waiting for my order. I asked the girl if I could get a side of dressing w my salad and she wanted to run my debt card for a $1. I laughed and said no, thank you. This is, without a doubt, the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to. We sat on the front patio, which has a great vibe and a afford lots of people watching. Our service was warm, friendly, responsive, and fun. Our party of four loved our selections. My favorite was the Mexicali blues roll. It was a perfect blend of savory and sweet... I think the suite came from bits of plantain chips. My husband had the volcano, which is a very substantial portion. It has crab meat and cooked salmon. It is worth noting that both these items are marked as spicy on the menu... I would not say they were spicy at all. The volcano roll (see picture) is part of happy hour pricing but was a few dollars more and nicely done. Also tried the crusty salmon roll (good but needs a sauce on it) and spring rolls (you get three; also good and $5 during happy hour and all day Monday). Wait staff is good and friendly. The bar tender knows her customers and made good recommendations. One star off for crappy cocktails. The cucumber cooler is tasty (if you like pureed cucumber) but the bar tender didn't ask if we wanted vodka or gin (an option on the menu), but it really didn't matter because there was sadly just a drip of vodka in the drink. Although this one is part of happy hour pricing this was a bit disappointing. On recommendation I tried their white sangria. The presentation is perfect with both a cherry and orange slice, but again almost zero alcohol. Ambiance is good. The bar has two TVs, one showed sports the other the food channel. Bathrooms were clean. There was zero wait on Monday evening in March. One of my friends comes here often and loves the sushi. I agree... During happy hour probably stick to drinks where alcohol content is known, like house wine. read more

AMAZING DEAL ALERT! We always go to Pisces when we are in town. Today was overcast and gloomy, so we decided sushi was the answer. Indeed it was! The lunch special is phenomenal! For $12 for 2 items off of the lunch menu. We both got a full sized roll and paid a $2 up charge for the wasabi Caesar salad. (It's a MUST HAVE- I'm not playing around people!!)
