First time here at this place, I was craving Korean food and I came here. The service was excellent and she was on top on getting drinks filled up and sides. I went with my family to celebrate a birthday here and we brought along a friend and a baby. The woman (most likely the owner) was extraordinarily accommodating and made sure we all were comfortable (and we were!). Once the table was set, most of us ordered unsweet tea and it was tough to drink. It tasted like stale Whataburger tea. I asked for lemons and Sweet N Low but they only had Splenda. She brought out the sides for our table and the kimchi was okay...nothing that had fermented long enough. The cold radish was a highlight. The potatoes were tough and I did not even try the jelly... For our entrees, all of us got bulgogi except for my mother who got the spicy seafood soup. Our friend tried ordering the sautéed chicken but the waitress literally said, "is it your first time? You get bulgogi. I promise." She completely hijacked his ordering experience and ended up with a dish he didn't like. None of us liked our food (except my mother). "Mom, y'all (referring to me and her) make better bulgogi than this at home," said my brother. I don't disagree...the texture was rubbery and it was tasteless. Food was excellent with the signature Korean heat to every dish. Owner and staff were attentive and wonderful to us. She even came over to teach us how to properly eat certain dishes. The interiors are clean and relaxing. A little bit pricey, but portions were large and the high quality ingredients make up for it. I was so excited to see a Korean restaurant in my hometown, I had to run over and try. It was such a good decision. I got the fried dumplings, and the bulgogi bibimbop.... Both were really exciting and tasty, just like the bokchan. The restaurant itself was beautiful, with traditional Korean items and beautiful hanging lamps. The music was very relaxing. The service was also exceptional and she plated my appetizer and spooned on the sauce, which I'm grateful for, because I'm not 100% proficient in Korean cuisine. had to come to college station for the weekend, and i knew this was the restaurant to visit as soon as i arrived. it's been one of my favorite spots since 2016. every big event in college - birthdays, post-finals celebrations - has been celebrated here. it's my absolute favorite! i love their small dishes, especially the sautéed bulgogi. it's thinly sliced beef marinated in a rich korean barbecue sauce, sautéed with vegetables and clear noodles, and served with rice on the side. every bite is so flavorful and comforting. the meal is always ended with their cinnamon ginger drink - so yummy. i miss this place so much! so glad i got to come back, and my favorite dish is still just as good after 8 years! read more

I was in College Station for work, visiting a coffee shop in the same shopping center for a few hours. I saw Ohana and figured I would walk over for dinner. It was a weeknight and most tables were full. It seemed like there was one young man taking orders at the tables by himself. He did a great job. My food came out in a timely manner and I wasn't rushed. The food was pretty good. My favorite was the seafood pancake. Just like the beat I've had, the pancake was cooked through, crispy on the edges and full of seafood. The sauce was delicious. I also had the bulgogi beef which was typical and delicious with accompanying banchan. No complaints on anything. I imagine this place gets busy on weekend; it's rather small. Banchan didn't have a ton of variety but what was offered was nice. My family tried the seafood stew and tofu stew. Seafood was quite fishy. I had a bulgogi bibimbap which was fine. There were some interesting veg in there that I hadn't seen in bibimbap before. The meat quality was okay. The kimchi pancake was okay too. Not amazing but not bad. For a small college town, it would probably hit the spot if I were craving Korean but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. read more

A quaint little Korean restaurant, the staff are so sweet! You can really tell that they appreciate you as customers. It was pretty decent Korean food for college station. The banchan were quite tasty - the potatoes in particular were delicious. I also got the tofu stew - it was bubbling when it came out and every bite, though it was piping hot, every bite was hearty and flavorful. I wish it was a bit spicier but it was good. The food is amazing. I recommend the kimchi stew if you like kimchi. The owner is the nicest person and offers such a great experience. A lot of the negative reviews complain about how long it takes and that's ridiculous. They've obviously never been to a family run place. You can tell the authenticity from the food and experience. If you want quick microwaved frozen food go somewhere else, you may have to wait a little but it's so so worth it. read more

Went there on a Friday night. Wasn't too busy as we had to wait about 5 min for them to clear the table as there were only 2 people working. After seated, we ordered vegie tofu soup and beef rib soup. The banchan were served in 4 separate bowls. The vegie tofu was very spicy for my wife as the menu didn't indicated what level of spice as with some of the Korean places here in the DFW metroplex. My wife asked the waiter, and he just said you'll need to know that next time you order and walked away? We then asked the waitress, and she was nice enough to take it back and bring us another one. 5 min later, the 2nd bowl tasted the same level of hot and spicy. Eventually, my wife and I just swapped our food as I'm OK with spicy food. But I was certain they didn't do anything to it as it was the same taste. As to the beef rib noodles, the noodles were the japchae (potato clear noodle). There were 3 ribs, tasty, but not very big as about 2/3 of it was bone. Overall, compared to the many excellent choices in Dallas metro, this is more like a 1 star. I'm only giving 2 star for the fact that the waitress made the effort to make it right....eventhough I'm certain it was still the same bowl of tofu soup. read more

Ate here for the first time. I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty excited coming here with my family and I even wore my Hawaii gear lol. We recently moved here from Hawaii so when I saw the word "Ohana" which means family in Hawaiian, I was like, "my people" lol. Anyways, my family and I arrive and we're waiting a while before we got seated, then longer before we got our waters and ordered. It didn't seem that busy. Anyways, we ordered the spicy rice cake (delicious, but leftovers at home weren't the greatest), Korean pancake (not that good, super thick and had a lot of batter, almost like bread), Bibimbap (over cooked egg, and rice burnt at bottom), beef BBQ (delicious), kimchi fried rice (mediocre flavor, nothing special), and sautéed chicken (flavorful). We had the sides that normally come with your food when you dine in. Overall, pretty pricey for the quality of food that we got. The staff wasn't friendly nor mean, just providing service so I can eat and leave lol. I was bummed because I was excepting some Hawaii locals where we can start talking about home, but I guess not lol. read more

Quickly became our favorite restaurant in CSB! We were craving AYCE KBBQ, and while that's not offered here, the Bibimbop Bulgogi is fantastic. Hubs loved the seafood pancake appetizer, which if you've never had Korean food, just know this ain't your brunch place pancake. The Kimchi soup is also amazing, and perfect for a rainy day. You can tell it's either homemade or bought local-ish. It definitely better than most store brought options here, AND you can order it to go!! Fast, friendly service! Very polite server and professional. Food: came out hot, perfectly cooked. Flavor was amazing. Ordered: chicken dumplings and beef bulgogi bibimbap. Order also comes with the typical Korean sides like kimchi, pickled Korean radish and others. I loved every part of the meal. The kimchi was very good. I've been used to the jarred kimchi from HEB but this kimchi flavor was so much better! Loved it. The bulgogi bibimbap was top notch excellent. Good temperature, well cooked but not over cooked. At the end of the meal the server brought out some ginger and cinnamon spiced iced tea. It was a really nice finish. Price: for the appetizer, meal, regular iced tea after tip it was $27 ish. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Worth it? Well I don't want to pay that every day for a meal but I did take half home and so it's really 2 full meals for me. I'll definitely be back! If you want a real Korean BBQ experience, this is as good as it gets without a VERY long flight. It is a smallish restaurant, but you will likely get a table without much effort. They also have a lively take out business. As soon as you sit down they will ask you what you want to drink, so you better be ready before you arrive! I'm sure they "sell" a lot of water because not many know what they want. We started off with the fried dumplings and they were fantastic. A side of cucumbers with a different sauce were a nice change. These were just the way I like them but out of chicken rather than the normal pork. You can also order it vegetarian style. I had the Bulgogi Bibimbap. No way could I ever pronounce that. You know when you order a steak fajita and it comes out sizzling on a cast iron skillet? This is the Korean version. Instead of a skillet it was a bowl. Don't touch that thing! Very sweet Korean sauce with onions, broccoli and rice underneath. Very flavorful. I added some of their Sarachi like hot sauce/paste and amped it up to my level. There were four sides of things that could be added in but I have no clue what they were called. I sampled them all. From my favorite to least: 1) spiced radishes with a spicy coating. 2) tofu gelatin in a teriyaki like sauce. These I couldn't add: 3) Spicy lettuce thing too hot, 4) A flavorless gel cube coated with a soy sauce. After we were done we were served an awesome ginger tea that was like a small slurpy of ice. That was fantastic and refreshing. Pro-tip: Read the menu and Yelp recommendations beforehand. There's no on site education. read more

Love this place for the food and attentive service. This is our second visit and the food is very good plus the portions are enough for many to take home some for later. Both visits were during a Texas heatwave, really anytime from July to September and plays a part in my review. Both times we arrived shortly after they opened at 5 PM. The Sake (cold) was very good and our server was knowledgeable on the sake they offered. We tried the Zipang which is a Sparkling Sake which neither of us had tried before. If you haven't had sparkling sake it's worth a try. We started with the Edamame and Fried Dumplings. Both were very good and a nice way to start the meal. Jane had the Shrimp Tempura and I had the Spicy Pork & Calamari. Again both were very good and if it wasn't for the rest of the menu would be our go to, but we need more trips to find our favorite dishes. The only issue goes back to the comment about the heatwave, the restaurant was very warm which for some may be a benefit but it was a little to warm for us. Not sure if it was the early hour and the A/C had not had time to cool the restaurant or if it's not strong enough to beat the upper 90's on both of our visits. Even with the warm temp we will be back, on our next trip to College Station we may try to go later and hope for a cooler inside temperature. This is a five star place but the A/C issue on both visits (months apart) cost a star in my review. read more
