Great place to buy gifts. Some local artists/designers too. Every holiday, anniversary or birthday- this is my go to.

I fell in love with the place, but didn't pick up a dress at that time. I wished I had so when I got home, I found their website and ordered a gorgeous sun dress. It took a while for it to get here, but when I finally got it after communicating with one of the owners, the handmade to my measurements dress was gorgeous and one of my favorite wardrobe pieces for warm weather vacations.

On this trip to Hanalei, I had to see what was new because it had been at least 7 years since I had been on island. My only complaint about the clothing line itself is that their spaghetti strap dresses do not contain a shelf bra, so if you are on the bigger chest side of the spectrum, this may be difficult unless you have a really good strapless bra. From the moment I walked in, I was met with some high-pressure sales which was a major turn off. I have tried on their dresses before, but they are just not flattering on my body type. I am not fond of strapless bras because they tend to smash large breasts, and are too hot to wear, especially in the humidity of Kauai. Their line is stunning, and they have beautiful shirts for men as well. The dresses come with pockets which is a plus, but their items are extremely pricey, at $239+ per dress. Once again, I left empty handed due to the high-pressure sales, high prices, and lack of shelf bra incorporated into their dresses. I therefore I opted to wear a beautiful and colorful spaghetti strap dress with pockets and a shelf bra from Marshalls for $29.99 and still looked stunning. There is a location in Kapa'a as well. Beautiful clothing and 100% worth looking at.

I can't sit still and clear my mind long enough to be at one with the universe. I start thinking about what I'm going to make for dinner, whether I sent the mortgage payment, why the tip of my nose itches so badly and needs immediate scratching... But I do love everything else about Eastern philosophy, which is why I wandered into Divine Planet one afternoon. There's eco-clothing woven from bamboo fiber, Chinese paper star hanging lamps, handmade Thai jewelry, batiked sarongs, silk drapes, scented candles and lotions, saris repurposed into throw pillows and throws, an entire wall of stunning Buddhist malas, and beads galore for stringing your own jewelry or meaningful mala. The woman running this location has a non-pushy and welcoming persona that exudes Zen. Prices are reasonable, and the sales astounding. I found a handmade, multi-colored shift from Tibet with gold thread woven into the fabric for $10, marked down from over $60. Not that you could ever feel stressed out on Kaua'i (OK, maybe "rush hour" on Kuhio would do it), but Divine Planet's got yer om right here.
