This is my must go to spot on Kaua'i. Hanalei is awesome already, but this shop is meaningful to me, as it is connected with da man, Titus Kinimaka! I love the Kai Kane meaning, as it is perfect for Titus Kinimaka, the waterman. The staff are friendly and the shop is beautifully set up with artifacts from over the years. I wish they would carry Kaua'i Boys clothing again and keep it there constantly, plus stickers too.

Hanalei hydroflask, 2 shirts and cool hat... brim like no other.

Stopped by after a day of swimming at Hanalei Bay. Super organized store, easy to find what you need. Kids shop in like 5 minutes but they always manage to find what they need. Love the vibe of this town, walk down the street in your slippers and you have no worries. Kid needed a new Hydroflask and this one had a logo, Hanalei, and the islands etched out in silver. Um, don't know if this will make it to his backpack, should've gotten 2!

    Outside of brochure.

Thanks Chuck! I got one of Titus Kinimaka's Hawaiian School of Surfing brochures when we first got to Kauai. The brochure showed a strong Hawaiian man with wild long hair and a determined look on his face. This is who I thought would be teaching me. Nope. It wasn't Titus. It was Chuck who taught me how to surf. Nothing against Chuck - he was great, but, he wasn't the guy in the brochure. Surprise! Advertising got me to the school. And, I learned how to surf! I guess I can let go the expectation that Titus himself would be teaching me. The surf lesson was 1-1/2 hours long. About 10-15 minutes on the beach learning the basics of paddling and popping up on the board. The rest of the time was in the water. Chuck helped me and two other newbies learn how to catch a wave and ride it all the way in. It was amazing! I had a few great runs and a few epic wipeouts. But I did it! We all did it! And they say if they can't teach you how to surf, they will refund your money. So head out to Quicksilver and learn how to surf! It was well worth it.

Here's my boys rocking their hanalei quicksilver gear! Always a stop for us when we visit.

Love this store! Been shopping here for my kids for 10 years, come to Kauai twice a year and always drop some cash in here. The locals are super friendly to us visitors so we support their business! It is a must stop if you visit Kauai, cool vibes and awesome gear! See you in May guys!

This is the only store in the area where you can get a women's swimsuit for less than $85…read more My husband and I had an issue with our flight where our checked luggage made it on the plane to go home, but we did not (airline issue.) We only had our carry-ons and the clothes on our backs. My husband and I needed some clothes and we decided to stop here because it was within walking distance of the Grand Hyatt where we were staying. We had stopped at other shops and either women's suits were running $50 per piece for a bikini or more. Luckily I was able to find a two piece swimsuit from Sea Level Swim Australia here for about $70 due to a 50% off clearance sale. My husband got a discounted pair of swim trunks in the $30 range. This store saved the day because I was not about to swim in a hotel in my undies. Visited: January 2023

Nice little surf apparel shop located at Poipu Shopping Village. They sell their own brand as well…read moreas popular surf brands like Billabong, RVCA, etc. After our luggage made the flight but not us (flight issue where we ending up deplaning!), we were left without anything for 24 hours except the clothes on our backs! Came here the next morning to at least find a swimsuit to enjoy the hotel pool for the day. It was about 1.5 mi walk from Grand Hyatt. Upon arrival, I found that due to a 50% clearance sale on certain items that this was the only affordable place in the area to find stuff under $100! My wife got a swimsuit from Sea Level Swim Australia for about 80 bucks (2-piece), while I got Billabong board shorts for $30!! Great deal! And a life saver too!! They also sell t-shirts, Aloha shirts, swim cover-ups, beach blankets, sunglasses, and more!
