I started off absolutely loving Linworth Family Dental. I truly enjoyed my visits and cleanings in the beginning. The staff seemed close knit and their website appeared to bolster that sense of closeness. But after a couple of years, I noticed my favorite hygienists suddenly no longer working there. It started off with one or two staff, but then it felt like at the next appointment, I didn't recognize any of the hygienists. I understand that people move, change jobs, etc, but I was a little concerned. Another reason for my low rating is that with each passing appointment, more and more advertisements for beauty procedures (like Botox) were put on the walls. I've seen plenty of offices with pamphlets, which I understand, but it got to the point where they had a huge retractable banner in the lobby and pictures of clients (which happened to be staff) taped to the walls of every single exam room. It felt more like a cosmetic spa than a dentist office. An additional reason is that the cleaning during my last visit was very sloppy and rushed. The hygienist was a young girl who kept telling me about how stressed she was for losing the key fob to her dad's Mercedes Benz. She kept stopping to tell me the story instead of focusing on the cleaning. When it came time to put fluoride on my teeth, she globbed so much on that even my fiancé told me he'd never seen so much caked on someone's teeth (and lips) before. And the worst part? I was due to have my gums measured, which she told me at the beginning of my appointment, but she forgot to do it. I was so frustrated by the end that I didn't even bother to press. I just wanted to go. It was also at this appointment that I found out the dentist I had been seeing had left the practice. My last reason for why I won't be returning is because of the receptionists. My fiancé accompanied me to my last appointment and waited in the lobby while I had my cleaning. As we exited the building, he said he could hear the receptionists behind the front desk speaking poorly about a patient. He said it was uncomfortable sitting in the lobby hearing it all. I find that disheartening and unacceptable. TL;DR: Linworth Family Dental used to be a wonderful dentist office but the quality has gone downhill and the care is nowhere near what it used to be. I cannot in good faith recommend this practice anymore.

I took my mom and dad to their clinic today. They are on visiting visa and currently uninsured. My mom needed 2 extractions and Dr. Edwards and hygienist Nick were able to go above and beyond to take care of this the same day of the supposedly routine cleaning visit. The dentists, assistants, and hygienists are amazing. I have previously given my reviews high stars. But now, I give them a low score for a few reasons. One is because of the extremely limited hours they are available, as well as involving AI in their answering service which is absolutely annoying when I want to just speak to a staff member. Another reason is because as the practice has been bought out, there has been turnover with the management and desk staff in which has created an issue. I had an appointment that the staff called me to reschedule. At the time I had a heavy work schedule and had limited availability for my 6 month cleaning. When I called back, they gave me a few different day options to which I could reschedule, in which I moved it up to an available day. After that day came, I was checking out and told that according to insurance, my cleaning was too early. I was unawares of the scheduling policy along with insurance exacts, so I explained that my appointment was rescheduled and I was not made aware of the fact that it would be considered an early appointment. The woman at the checkout desk went to speak with someone and ultimately said it would get taken care of and not to worry about it. A few weeks go by and my husband goes in for his appointment. Some time after this, he gets a txt regarding a bill (mind you, this was only the second appointment with them and he is receiving the bill txts, not me). We have not received anything in the mail. So I call in and explain my situation, to which I then requested to speak to a manager because of the frustrations of previously being told "it would be taken care of". Also to note, I have never had a scheduling issue of which I would be early and insurance would not pay. Ultimately the conversation with the manager was useless. She told me that the person who said it was taken care of no longer works there and that she should not have said that. She goes on to say that in the chart it was marked that I was notified of the fact that insurance would not pay (which once again I was not). I requested to listen to the recording, as I was told all calls are recorded. This comment was brushed over. I was told that it is my responsibility to know when my appointments are and to not schedule early or I would be billed. Said she would change the bill to "a new patient visit" cost, which is still like $150. Again, I have never had issues before and yet they won't take responsibility of their own staff members not warning me of the early appointment (which again, I had to change because of a scheduling conflict on their side) and telling me it would be taken care of when there was a bill. Unfortunate that I can't trust what some of the staff tell me in that office. My husband and I will now be looking for a new dental practice. Really stinks because I really liked the dentists, assistants, and hygienists.

This is also a direct violation of the patients (INFORMED CONSENT TO TREATMENT AND CARE!) They leave patients in pain and ignore them when it is quite obvious via video chat that swelling/pain is still an issue! When patients complain or leave Yelp reviews they further gaslight and blame the patient pretending they are not accountable for their poor decisions/treatment/care. Funny enough, their competition had NO ISSUES AT ALL with keeping me properly informed, well treated during surgery and aftercare was no problem for them... Future responses from this company will be treated with the same response they gave me... "Not my problem if you don't like honest reviews of your poor service!"
