I thought how weird that there is no sauce underneath the cheese. But genius batman! The cheese sticks and your toppings don't slide off. Plus you can add as little or as much sauce as you want. Win win! My only negative comment is that the closest one to us is in Brunswick . Hubby said he could always stop and pick up on his way home. That is definitely two thumbs up from him. This is hands down my favorite pizza place. Pizza is my thing, it's what I love and every state I go to I always have to find a pizza joint to try. Today was my third time visiting Ohio Pie Co and each time I enjoy it more than the last. I drive over an hour to eat it. I tried Nick's Pick today, it was a pie called the Basic Burner and it was the best pizza I have ever experienced. The crust is thick but not too thick, then it has a nice creamy white sauce on top. Covered in a blanket of gooey cheese and salty pepperoni, dollops of creamy ricotta cheese and drizzled with garlic oil. Then it's topped with their signature sweet sauce swirl. I am not a sauce girl, I usually prefer light sauce, but I swear, I could drink a gallon of this magical stuff. The sweet sauce may not be for everyone but I dig it. I hope they end up adding this pizza to their menu permanently because it was pure heaven. Keep up the good work!! read more

By far the best pizza I've ever had. We drive over 20 minutes out of our way to the next town over (passing many pizza spots on tbe way) to get it. Love that the owner is often there, love the sitting area to hangout and eat with friends, love the delicious cookies in the case, I could go on. Casual dining, order up front,find a table and eat off paper plates. It's pizza, not fine dining and that's ok when the pizza is this good! They don't skimp on toppings, and really no crust on the edges. Sause is good not too sweet, but well seasoned. If I have one complaint it is they use canned mushrooms. But there was so much pepperoni you couldn't tell. A+! read more

We were very intrigued by the "ohio style pizza" and decided to try it while we were here from out of town. *Thanks yelp* and this place was very good! We got the fire bird (Buffalo chicken) and a cheesy bread. The cheesy bread was as big as the pizza! The dipping sauce including marinara, which we though was a bit sweet, so we were happy that we got it just for the dipping. Everything was very fresh and tasted great! My fiancé and I decided that we wanted to try a different pizza place last night. We have driven by the Ohio Pie Co. several times over the past few months and finally pulled the trigger. I would be giving them a 5 star review but the pizza was just meh! However the people we interacted with were very nice and helpful. But the pizza just left something to be desired... like pizza sauce. We ordered 2 pies and cheese bread. I wouldn't have ordered cheese bread if I knew the pizza was basically cheese bread with toppings and a few sporadic drizzles of pizza sauce on top. We only ended up eating about 2 slices each before I ran to the bathroom to chug a healthy serving of Pepto-Bismol to stop the sudden onset of heart burn and upset stomach I began to feel. I managed to score one of the last three pizzas left on Thursday around 6pm. By far best pizza in Brunswick and I've lived here for 15 years. There may be a ton on pizza shops in this town but I've never been impressed by one...till now. Sauce is perfect. More sweet than tang but not sugary. I got a veggie, and it was full of fresh, perfectly cooked toppings. Not over cheesed, perfect amount to let toppings shine. Crust pretty good, I personally like it ever so slightly chewier but it's still the best crust around. I mean, I even ate the small parts of the crust that had no toppings, so that speaks for itself. I'm happy that I now have an option for delicious pizza nearby. But also concerned I may eat it too much. Watch for my next review on the local gym where I will need to go to compensate. read more

OMG. This Place. We have been following them on Instagram for a few months and couldn't wait to try them out. Basics: The store is small, but they make the most of the space - a couple tables and a bar at the front of the store. This place would fit perfect in downtown CLE - perfect for Ohio City, Lakewood, or Tremont. We made a trip from Rocky River to Brunswick - the 35 minute drive was completely worth it! People were extremely nice. Price- Incredible. They pies were huge for the price. Honestly they could make everything 30% more and I would still find the price reasonable. Now The Food: This pizza is INCREDIBLE. We had a large 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 cheese - the cheese on the whole pizza had a creamy (maybe ricotta) cheese mix. The sauce was a slightly sweet tomato sauce that was swirled on top. It was the perfect crunchy crust to cheese to sauce ratio. The Bodega is a brunch special. It had a cream cheese white sauce base with all the toppings of an egg sandwich (bacon egg cheese). And the crust. Omg. The crust had a layer of everything bagel seasoning. It was crunchy and creamy and I cannot wait to have it again. Cheese bread was great. Mixture of the cheeses with a side of sauce. Solid choice. Now the cookies. We got a bunch and split. They are huge over the top cookies that are drool worthy. We had 4 different ones: Oreo, Reece's (Reece's pieces on the outside and Reece's cup in the center), Cinnamon Toast Crunch & Fluffernutter (pb cookie with a toasted marshmallow on top). Y'all!!!! Like seriously....... how to break this down into words besides "yum, omg, mmmm, I'm dying...." A little background: I was raised on the East side, currently work downtown(for 9+ years) and have lived in Brunswick for a little over 7 years. We've had our share of the good, bag and ugly of pizza, not to mention from all over the city. Now: Our go to, local, cheat spot! This pizza!!!! It's amazing, it reallllly is. Nice, crispy crust (not too crispy where it's hard, crumbles, dry and falls apart at your touch). Perfect balance of sauce and toppings. Sauce is on the sweeter side, but I welcomed it as a balance to the salty toppings. It was super fresh pizza with high quality ingredients. Lets not forget to mention the cookies. Yikes! Good luck choosing just one. We ended up getting one of each (total of 4) to try since this was our first visit. Really wanted to make it an experience- haha. I ordered the items to go and everything was still hot and crispy when we got home. Side note: I second everyone who said this place was brave to open a pizza joint out this way because there really is a place on every corner BUT this spot doesn't even compare to all those chains.
