The Electricians- Nelson and Juan were coordinately working together professionally; reliable and completed the job at the given time. The problem started when my daughter replaced all the receptacles and switch in her room that causes the lights not to come on and affected the stairwell lights as well. The circuit breaker was found ok and then they tested the receptacles wiring and found a problem of a loose wire. I was in need of getting the home EV charging station installed. Use Yelp project feature to request quote. Most of the customers like me probably prefer someone who can come asap and at a fair price. Many shops responded to my request right away, starting to ask more info that I already entered, or set up an appointment just to do a walk through. I believe my small project don't need such extensive walk through and can be done by pics or videos. Morgan from OHMS responded later and share some photos and asking some questions. They actually available the same day. Two you g gentlemen show up and start getting to work. Because of the special parts required, both of them pick up the phone and call all over the places to find parts. They end up driving to Oakland and spend extra couple hours to get the part and back to complete the job. They both learn the trade from their family and start working even before graduating from the high school. Now after years of experience, they have their own company and working hard to do the job. I really think young gentlemen like them who work hard and treat customers nice are to be encouraged. Drew responded to my Yelp request within 30mins and was able to connect with me over the phone afterwards. He requested pictures of our panel for our potential EV install and was able to come out the next morning. Even though we couldn't install the EV charger as planned due to older panel issues he was able to provide us with alternative solutions that wouldn't cost us an arm and a leg instead of having to do major upgrades. The WORST contractors I have ever come across. Do NOT work with this company. Not only will you get ripped off in price, you'll end up in a position of filing a police report against them and figuring out how to take them to court. Literally, they're criminals. I had Drew's brother Morgan come to my house to trouble shoot a power issue. What was a 15 minute job splicing wires ended up running $600. They initially said it would take several hours. That was not the case. Literally a wire nut and that's it. There was a GFCI outlet not working, he took a couple of minutes to look at the switch and realized this was to the outside outlet. Charged me another $100 for this. For turning on a switch. I said if it's just the switch, don't worry about it... and I was told if I don't pay for the outlet replacement, I would be charged a diagnostic fee. To turn on a switch. Pool guy said that I was totally taken advantage of on price. Yeah that I know, but it wasn't the worst part. In the end the power issue did not solve my problem and I was on the phone FaceTimeing with my pool guy. I did not realize they were still waiting outside of the house, but 15 mins later they made me hang up to phone to go process payment. Fine. They don't take credit cards so I needed to login to my bank from my laptop and set them up as a new contact in Zelle to send money. While I'm doing this, there's a knock at my door. I called these guys back and let them know that I was in the process of doing it, and that this was just delaying us more... the response was "if we don't get payment right away we're shutting your power off". That's where I lost it. These guys really had the nerve to threaten to shut my power off. I told them if that's what your going to do, do it. A minute later the power in the house went off, and I came outside to find that they'd stolen the electric meter. All this, because they had to wait outside for 15 minutes. After they spent an hour on a job that they claimed would take several hours. I called them back and let them know without internet there is no way I could pay them. The response ? Go to Starbucks. Yeah sorry. Not going to do that. Have another electrician here fixing the issue right now, and the police coming by to take photos and take a report for larceny. I'll also be working with the courts to file a claim as well. Called the owner. So did the police. No response. Luckily the camera system has a backup battery. Saw what looked like the business owner drive by the house staring at it in a black car a couple of hours after the incident. Probably seeing what other damage could be done. Definitely do NOT do business with these guys. Was left in a worse off position than anything they "fixed." Not at all worth it for a spliced wire and a changed outlet. read more

Great group of guys. I sent a request on Yelp for an electrical system analysis after a massive water damage event and Drew did an outstanding job, very professional. I had 2-3 other electricians out to quote the same job and they barely touched the electrical and charged an outrageous site fee but never followed up with a report. Great value. Easy to deal with. Went the extra mile. I contacted Ohms Electric after being told by my appliance vender that I needed my circuit breaker replaced. The installers delivered the oven but refused to install it until the circuit breaker was replaced. I called around to get pricing from several repair companies. I found most to not be very transparent. (I submitted estimate requests through Yelp and clearly explained what I needed, but got generic emails asking for my name, address, and phone number. . . Why they need that to provide a simple estimate is beyond me! I ignored the inquiries not to waste time.) In contrast, the owner of Ohms Electric called me and provided me with fair and transparent pricing. He also provided information about the type of circuit breaker I needed to streamline his visit and help me avoid paying him for additional time. The issue was resolved within a day in a quick and professional manner. After the work was done and paid for, I found out from my tenant that he had also installed the electric oven that Best Buy had delivered but refused to install due to the faulty circuit breaker, and cleaned up the area after completing his work. To correct my last review they came out 2 times second time they fixed stuff from 1st install that was wrong I was hoping to get them to come a third time to fix their shotty work preformed..they literally installed the outside flood light upside down. We never moved the light or the conduit you guys installed the wood work was done before you could put the electrical in place and you guys were attacking a plug in with live wires to a moveable table this is all was upset about the day of install but then when I complained to you drew you said they can place the plug in the floor as I originally requested then it went from 4 plugs to 2 but that was manageable I think you guys are not up to fixing the stuff to be water proof. The new light you guys installed in the back room doesn't work and the light outside doesn't either. I will contact someone else to speak to you regarding a refund for the work that was done unprofessionally. You guys showed up said no problem you could fix the electrical issues you inspected the building and said we just needed to reattach the conduit after the exterior wood was up and that is when you asked called once you guys put the conduit up he said it was fine I asked why it looked the way it did and would it be water proof he said yes at 1st then noticed the break in the conduit which was added to the cost and I thought replaced.. it has been less than 30 days and you guys won't stand behind your work I may have been a little rude but you guys were trying to say things were good when they were not you misrepresented your coworkers abilities and then you came back out to help fix it and it is still an issue today when you left it worked when it rained it all stopped which tells me you guys did something w ring with the electrical you installed. read more
