When you enter, the cashier is on the corner to your left. I received "Package A" and was able to get 2 plush toys. Since the plushies are adorable and my friend and I had fun at the end of the day, I was happy. It appears that "Package B" and "C" are the most sought-after purchases in this location. Although little, the space is wonderful! I adore that they have a fancy plushie wall where you can take pictures. The majority of claw machines range in difficulty from medium to extremely challenging. It can be hit or miss because the claw tool, in my opinion, doesn't grasp the plushie tightly enough and releases the item quickly even when it is being picked up. I wish there was more claw machines to play a little longer. Other than that, I enjoyed the experience here! read more

What a cute little shop!! I found this place as I scrolled with my friend through Chinatown and was drawn in by the cute accessories and paper goods. It was such a cute spot with well priced goods but what you really go for is the back room! It is filled with walls of plushies where you can write little notes and places them on the bare wall or on the plushies. It's really cute and I would highly recommend! Stopped by here to check out the plushie wall which is a great photo op if you're into it. I'm a sucker for claw machines so I couldn't resist at least trying it, plus we were visiting Ontario so we wanted to make the most of the experience. Narrow hallway to the 2nd floor. Vava's here isn't too big. You can literally cover the place in like 8 minutes. Games are rated from a level 2-5 difficulty, the most difficult being the largest plushies and the key master game. The games are relatively easy to win if you play claw machine games enough, and there was one game where the rewards were name-brand make-up items (lipstick, etc), however be advised that some of these were manufactured and/or discontinued from almost 10 years ago. I won a Givenchy type lipstick my girlfriend picked out and scanned/looked it up since it seemed kind of skeptical and found that it was made in 2013. Would be nicer if the place had more things to offer, as well as maybe dates on these make up items? Overall, it was a cool experience. Go for the plushie wall if you're in town. read more

I want to say I'm the first real reviewer since everyone below me gave 5 stars and only has 1 review... Anywho, I give this place props for their cute and strategic idea of the opening of a claw machine "arcade" in the Yonge and Finch area. I put arcade in quotations because the size of this place is pretty small and only carries 3-4 varieties of claw machine types. Definitely a novelty of its kind in Toronto but nothing compared to the likes of real arcades in Japan. Nonetheless, the renovation and interior design is just beaming with trendy ideations and is perfectly curated to lure in the rich, 20-something-year-old demographic that resides in that area. Like have you seen that plushie backdrop with a swingset in front?! The pink walls?! The flashy LEDs?! Everyone knows claw machines are mostly a game of trickery and from what I can see, the pricing isn't cheap for a game if it's $18.88 for 30 credits and one game is 3/6 credits depending if it's a small or big plush. Doing the math for you, it starts at $1.89/$3.78 per try and it decreases if you buy a larger package with more credits. I mean, at the end of the day, I'm all for it. Give the people what they want - the clientele exists in both the rich looking for a new amusement and the less rich who just want to have a good time and pride themselves in having won a plushie in front of their friends/dates. Super fun place for a date! However, be mindful of how much you're spending because it's very easy to blow through your wallet in a short amount of time. I spent about ~$100 which got my partner and I about 5 toys each, as well as a free item. Definitely worth checking out, but it errs more on the expensive side read more

This place was really aesthetically pleasing; cute photo wall, really nice interior & super boujee prizes (Gucci bags, Kenzo backpack, YSL/Chanel/Tom Ford lipsticks). Honestly, most of the games are pretty difficult to win especially if you've never played crane machines before, there's also a lipstick game (for both the lipstick prize & the expensive designer prizes) where you tap the screen and try to avoid hitting the prongs. It's kind of rigged because the wheel spins back a bit so you hit the prong & lose. I'm surprised I even won a prize, but at least I broke even LOL Overall, I would say go experience it at least once but I don't think it's worth going again because of how expensive it is. read more

Nifty little spot. Enjoyed the overall experience as trying to win is very addicting. The decor is aesthetically pleasing, so I'd imagine a lot of people coming by to take photos for their social media with cute motifs throughout, especially the wall with all the plushies and the swing! The prizes range between small trinkets, keychains plushies (small and large) and figures to YSL Lipsticks, Tiffany Jewellery, etc. The price range for credits is a bit on the pricier side, so if you are extremely determined to win those big prizes; you can expect to spend a good amount on credits!! The staff were helpful when it came to providing instructions for the scissor machine and the games with the big prizes. Overall, the place is pleasing to the eyes and very photo friendly. Unfortunately the only turn off for me was the price for credits (my girlfriend is obsessed with winning, so my wallet did suffer a blow that day)!! read more

One of many crane game arcades in the GTA, Vava is a little different from others in the fact that they have different types of machines. They have your basic crane games, as well as the "cut the string" types, computer "lipstick" and a smaller crane game that has smaller plastic toys. I would say that Vava has some of the better prizes, I'd also say this place is a little more expensive than the others. There's obviously a strategy in how you go about these machines, but I'd say the average person would spend more here than other places. It should also be noted that this is really the only place where the person at the desk won't do you any favours by moving some of the prizes within the machine - we saw a few that we could literally get nothing because of the placement of all the items within the machine. If you like the arcade crane games, I could recommend going here, but blowing through money is really easy if you're not careful. If you're new to it, I'd recommend one of the other places first. read more

Hyped hyped hyped! You've seen it all over instagram and if you haven't then lucky you! Claw machines are big in Japan and when I first saw this I thought cool I want to try. Even though I know very well I won't win anything. (I'm not good at games, and we all know claw machines is mostly a scam.) The store is cute with a wall of plush and a swing for photo ops! Games are expensive to play. For $30 you get 50 credits and each machine takes 3-12~ credits? Just depending on the prizes. You get your own card and you just tap on the machine to play. (Similar to Dave & busters) They had free bottle water, which was nice. After $60 spent and still no prize. Expensive activity for sure. The plush are just from China and not the real deal. Games will take more than a few tries to actually win and even then you may never get anything. There were many winners during the 1.5h we were there. Overall, this place seems more like a fad then a business that will last especially with the credits being so costly. Business has 2 lambo parked out front advertising the business with plush in the car. Both cars had parking tickets on it. Doesn't really seem like the owners need the money :p Let's just say I'm not in a rush to go back. read more

The fastest $20 I ever spent. I was there for maybe 15-20 minutes and got nothing. There were so many times I was close to getting it but the toy dropped before the claw even moved. Definitely pricey since it's $18.88 for 30 credits and the good prizes are 6 credits per turn. You burn through it very fast since each turn is 15 seconds. Vava was the perfect venue for our daughter to celebrate her birthday with a small group of friends. The location is very convenient, being not far from Finch subway station. And the staff member, Kiki, was friendly and helpful. Each of the girls had fun using their credits, and they were all proud of the prizes that they won. A lovely little shop on Yonge. The first thing you will see when you arrive is a wall full of plushies + a swing! A couple was taking pictures by the walls for a least 10mins when we came. Great place for social media photos. Plushies are cute and good quality, waaayyyy better than the ones at the arcades in Toronto. Oh and the luxury brands too! Staff are nice and friendly. One of the staff even helped us to reposition the plushies in the machine for an easier grab. The store can be a bit hard to find though. It's on the second floor of Mabu Station and could be easily overlooked if you are driving. Overall it was a fun experience! Enjoyed every bit of it and definitely will be back again. read more
