I left feeling like I just had hung out with my family & best friends, made my experience less stressful and anxious. My first experience was positive. Then I took my wife's car there. Seemed to be ok until about 4 months later my wife was driving and the check engine light came on. She immediately pulled over and had it towed to the house. For context she drives a Prius - does not and never has burned oil, no leaks, etc. Also Prius has a solid reputation for basically never having these problems. When it got to the house I got my code reader and it was giving a code that could be either a sensor or an oil problem. So I started with the basic first and checked the oil. There was basically NO OIL in the engine, just some burnt residue. This could have warped the manifold basically destroying the engine. Luckily when I added some oil and then drained it there were no metal shavings that would indicate warping of the manifold. I added oil and ran the engine - so far no problems. Of course I went back to this location and pointed out what happened. They offered to change the oil, which I declined and requested a refund. The manager let me know that their corporate office would contact me for a refund. It has been a month and nothing. The main purpose of their business is to CHANGE the oil - it's in their name for crying out loud. Apparently they can't get that right. If you choose to have your oil changed here I would recommend you check your oil level before you leave. They might not have actually put oil BACK into the engine. I also checked my truck to make sure they put oil in it since I was not confident they could do this. There was, which is good since that is their main function... I will be changing the oil in both my truck and my wife's Prius myself from now on. At least that way I will know it will be done right. I cannot recommend this company at this point. There was one car being serviced when I arrived. I was waved in to the other stall with a very unhappy looking employee. When the next employee came to my car window there was zero greeting just what seemed like a disgruntled employee. I got the feeling from all three guys working that they weren't happy. Went to jiffy lube and the guy that helped me was very nice. Bad day or not, you shouldn't take it out on your customers. Won't return. read more

The 2 employees I give 5 star for being nice and friendly, but the end result when I got home from the oil changed turned those 5 stars into zero point zero stars. It so happens I had oil leak on my clean driveway where my truck resides. Upon inspection of crawling underneath the vehicle, oil was all over the filter and puddled on the undercarriage of my truck. It was a dreadful mess to clean up plus a tight fit to be under the truck. Now I have to get out the pressure washer and whatever else to clean the oil off the driveway! I have warmed up the truck and do not see any more oil, so hopefully ok. There is NO excuse for the employees to leave oil from a mess they created! They did not say anything to me about any issues they may of had either. Not cool to say the least! I did contact the mother company, but yet to hear from them. :-( read more

Been a loyal customer until my last oil change. This is the crack that resulted from them over torquing the drain plug. Went back and forth with them. First they (Tony) blamed MFG defect and sent me letter with other vehicles that have had issues and their legal team sent to someone. No response regarding said letter but I should be able to recoup my money if TSB results from said letter. They stuck with that, offered to reimburse me for my oil change and talked about a couple free oil changes. I asked for additional information on torque spec procedures since they claim 25 ft/lbs is their procedure on Hyundais. Meanwhile I heard 3 different people say 3 different torque amounts (32, 29, and last one 25). Their customer service rep Michael said I would receive a call from the director. First week passed no call. Called Michael and he said he is doing what I asked and I should receive a call. Another week passed and no call. I had to pay $500+ to repair their damage as I couldn't let it go on leaking. MFG said definitely over torque so not covered under warranty. Been going to oil changers for years (used to be under another name here in Oroville who stood by their work). I had the oil changed every 3,000 miles and topped off every now and then. I gave them a chance to right their wrong but they have not. Probably writing up a procedure now, which hopefully saves the next customer from this experience. Their service was good until it wasn't and now others should be aware. read more

I love these guys! Best customer service I have ever received. Just bought a 1993 Ford van that had the engine replaced. I had no info at all on the engine other than it was a crate motor. The service tech went well and beyond the call of duty to make sure the right oil type and quantity were used. He found a few things that needed to be done while he was checking. Totally saved me a breakdown in the future. Super hot day, he turned the fan so it blew on me in the car. I will forever only use these guys. read more

Robert and Nemo are so kind and helpful! We brought in our 2018 Volvo today and brought our own oil since it's difficult to find the correct oil. Robert was able to confirm that their standard Redline Oil is ok for our Volvo where the Yuba City Oil could not confirm. Im very disappointed in the service, when i came in i was the 2nd person in the store right after opening, like any other person I have a regular 9-5 that i need to get to so if i was told 45 min for the oil change it shouldn't take you 2 HOURS to even check in with me, not to mention the employees just chatting it up about going out and partying and sipping drinks,and not to even mention the unprofessionalism while at the front desk, essentially, this location is a bunch of buddies sitting around working whenever they'd like, avoid at all costs if you appreciate your time. I would hate to even mention the other customer who was told to come back at one because they didn't even finish her job which she had already waited Two hours not sure what happened in there but with my experience I will definitely not be coming back. read more

I took my car almost a year after they took over Averys and it's definitely not the same. The guy under the car said we had a major oil leak which I know doesn't..before the oil change my car got about 25mpg, after it might get 18mpg...I don't know what happened but I know at least 1 guy is incompetent and either tried to scam me or doesn't know what he's doing..I won't ever go back. read more

I really miss Avery's oil change, they sold out unfortunately to Oil Changers. Avery's was a home town business and cared about their customers, but since they sold out the new company Oil Changers, there only concerned is about profit. I took my Pontiac in for oil change like I use to do with Avery's for years, the first time experience with Oil Changers was a disaster, their price went up about $10 and the service went down as always when large company buys you out. My experience is, they ran us out of the waiting room saying it's been converted to storage, they did the oil change, didn't offer to vacuum my car, didn't offer to check the cabin vent filter and did not inform me the air filter for the engine needed changed, they put checked on the invoice and that it was after market. Three weeks later, I get a letter that my credit card was not charged, so I call company headquarters to pay the bill and within one week my car started to miss and stop. After some research I found out my Mass sensor was acting up, long story short, Oil Changers did not offer to change my air filter or advised me to change it. so their stupidity costs me lot more money as the filter was dirty and particles was getting into the sensor. My advice is "Stay far Away from Oil Changers" read more

I wasn't able to get my oil changed when it was due because I suffered a handful of illnesses in the beginning of the year and couldn't budget it in. I went in with a budget of roughly $200 today knowing I would probably need way more than the average oil change. Robert was amazing, he went over every step. He talked to me about why I needed things, explained what was important and helped me budget out what to get done. I left paying $180 and my car is running great. this used to be a proper place... i was wondering why my truck was rattling after leaving and come to find out they didn't put all the screws back in on my skid plate. left the side of my truck dirty with oil prints... water in my washer fluid, not actual washer fluid.. very dull personalities... not a good way to treat a 70k truck.. made the mistake of going back a second time and they forgot to tighten my oil pan bolt... Avery's was better.. & bring back the popcorn machine. read more

These guys are awesome - they're friendly, informative, affordable, use good products, do a great inspection on the vehicle and let you know if they see anything wrong... lights, air pressure ect ... the first time I came here they alerted me to a very frayed serpentine belt that needed to be replaced which I had my mechanic do the next week, and on my second oil change they let me know I had a rodent problem under the headgasket cover. So I will say you get what you pay for. Typically I go to Walmart and get my oil changed. It does cost less but I still would recommend coming here instead. These guys are super transparent they show you your dirty air filter they show you your clean oil once they put it in they basically change it right there in front of you. I drove in without an appointment and they assisted me right away super courteous and friendly I was probably in and out in 10 minutes 12 minutes tops. I would highly recommend coming here if anything just for the customer service. Honestly the guy push the button on the credit card terminal so fast I didn't even get a chance to tip but I was going to. I'll catch him next time! read more

I had my fuel filter alert come on in my GMC Duramax ( 0% ) right before I was on my way out of town for a 800 mile trip on a Sunday , so I came Into Oil Changers for a filter. They were the only place open and I didn't have my tools with me to change one in an auto parts parking lot. I didn't need a oil change yet, but went ahead and had a synthetic oil change done too. The technician reset both my oil and fuel filter settings. it wasn't until I got back from the trip and was reviewing the bill that I noticed there wasn't a charge for a fuel filter. I called and spoke to the manager Noah. He said that I was told that they didn't have the filter in stock and that it must have been a mistake by the tech on the resetting of my warning light in my truck. When I explained that the only reason I came in was for a filter and I would not have knowingly driven 800 miles with a dirty fuel filter, he repeated that I was told the filter was not in stock, which is not the case. I am 100% sure and even asked the tech when they were done which is why he reset the setting in my truck. no apology or accountability. On a side note, the last time I had my oil changed here they didn't tighten my oil filter and I got down the road and noticed oil pouring out. very disappointed read more
