Rave to Sean at Braun's Auto Service. I moved here recently and found them here on Yelp. Went in July for oil change and my battery wasn't preforming like it should. They preformed the service with no issues. Fast forward a month later my battery kept dying. I only drive my car around town for quick errands so something seemed off. Took my vehicle back and they couldn't find anything wrong, charged it up and I was good. Dies again a week later, obviously an issue with the vehicle and not the mechanic. Took it back this last week and they took their time trying to figure it out. I know some things about automotive technology but I know electrical can be so difficult. I moved up here from down south and have been looking for a good independent shop. I had an estimate for struts from another shop. The price didn't sound right to me, so I called Braun. They did the job for less than half of the other shop in town. I also had them put brakes on my wife's car. They do great work at a reasonable price. My truck broke down at 4 PM yesterday when I am an out of town pass or through and I was really stuck. I called two other auto places because I don't know anybody here and each one of them recommended me to the other in sequence until I came to Brauns. When I called at such a late time, they said that they will work on it and I came over 3 miles away and they did a diagnostic and because they didn't have time being so late they said they would do it the next day. They kept their promise. They were incredibly hospitable. They pointed me out to the local rental place where I got the last car probably they had for the day and they were genuinely caring and I would recommend this place to anybody especially to those that are traveling through five stars there's not enough all I can say is thank you to them read more

I am from Virginia and took a road trip across the country, somehow ending up in Oroville, California. From what we saw and heard about the area I was very hesitant to trust any mechanic, especially since I don't know anyone near by to ask for advice, but I knew my car would need some service before attempting the drive back home. I did my research, hoping to find someplace that seemed trustworthy within a 50 mile radius and Braun's was the one that continued to show up with all positive reviews. When I stopped in to ask a few questions, I could immediately tell these guys had been in the business for a while and knew what they were doing. They even found time to take a look at my car the very next morning! I had quite a few concerns with my car, I knew it would need an oil change and tire rotation, and I was concerned that it might need new brakes and rotors. The AC had also stopped working and my check engine light was on. Yikes! Now being a girl, I know a lot of mechanics that will jump at the opportunity to either over charge for something or do an unnecessary repair, because they can get away with it. I know my car, I know my parts, I just don't have the space or tools here to work on it. I don't even leave reviews that often but the honesty of these guys blew me away! They took care of the oil change and tire rotation, letting me know that my brakes are just fine when they very easily could've charged me for a new set! The fix on the AC was going to be very costly and I am very glad they called to let me know the price, rather than just going ahead and doing it. They even found my oil leak I've had for years and no one else could find. I am so glad I took my car to Braun's. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and their prices aren't bad. I feel much more confident about driving back across the country now that they have done a safety inspection and taken care of any major issues. Thanks guys! read more

I moved to Oroville, CA a couple months ago and wasn't familiar with the local businesses, especially auto repair shops. My Car had been making a squeaking sound from somewhere near the rear of the car for a few weeks and it didn't seem important enough to get fixed. However, one morning after pulling out of my driveway, the squeaking became a little louder. Two weeks later the noise was demanding attention. I used YELP.COM and found Braun's Full Auto Service Center (in Oroville, CA) about a half-mile away from my home and decided it would be mechanically safe to drive my car there to get it checked out. The very kind, courteous owner asked me some questions regarding the noise then drove the car into the shop to put it on a lift to look at it. This is the type of situation where a shady mechanic could have told me that either: 1) I needed a complete brake job which could have included drums, shoes, hardware kits, or 2) The wheel bearings needed replacing, both wheels - BIG BUCKS, or 3) A combination of both of the above. Instead this kind, caring owner removed the tire and drum and found some defective brake parts. Instead of a large $$$ repair for what I thought were faulty wheel bearings, the owner and his very friendly associates found the problem and had it repaired for a reasonable cost in a reasonable time frame. I can guarantee you that I WILL be returning to Braun's Full Auto Service Center for all of my car repairs. JOB WELL DONE!!! read more

My family has been going to Braun's auto repair shop for over 20 years. They always give an honest price, and they often charge less than expected. They are incredible detectives in trying to understand what is wrong with a car. I currently live a five-hour drive from Braun's, so it can be difficult to get back to Oroville to have my car fixed. But when I know that my car needs repair that is not an emergency, I try to time car repairs for when I travel "home" to the Oroville area for Braun's dependable services. read more

Captive audience... summertime with a full car and the kids... typical target for a bruising.... got on the phone with me and AAA to find me .... fellow showed up immediately ..... calmed me down ..... took his time .... gave me options .... agreed to tow me all the way back to Marin if he had to... but figured out how to mazimize my coverage and get me in my car safely if possible. Back at Braun they gave the kids ice creams .... were respectful and responsive .... gave me options and made absolutely certain I was good to go before they sent me on my way .... two hours total on a Friday afternoon from the moment I pulled over until I was back on the road!! Had a car towed to Braun's for a set of brakes that didn't work at all. They couldn't reproduce the problem and only charged me half their normal diagnostic rate. They could have easily told me the car had serious brake issues and charged me a ridiculous amount, instead they figured out the fluid may have boiled from the heat, checked the car was safe, and had me on my way the same day they looked at it. read more

1st Time: Quick & priced right. 2nd Time: Over charged, rude, laughed at me over the phone when I said I saved $400. I borrowed some money from family to pay the trumped up fees, then learned from other auto places in town that it doesn't take 2 hrs to fix my problem, only 1/2 hour tops! So Braun's screwed me. On top of that my drivers side seat is broke. It was not like that when I had it towed in. I won't be a repeat customer & I don't advise others to use them either. read more
