My oil change light came on, so I stopped by on 5/30/25 expecting to wait around with my impatient 3yr old and spend a good amount of money. Instead, I was helped by an absolute gem of an employee who turned my whole day around. I told him I needed the oil change before driving to the Bay on Saturday. After checking my profile, he let me know I actually didn't need one--the tracker just hadn't been reset during my last visit. He reset it, topped off my oil, fixed the air in my tires, and sent me on my way--all without charging me for a service I didn't need. He saved me money and time, and honestly, he saved my weekend with family. I'm so happy and grateful. Good days like this don't happen often, and I left feeling taken care of, not taken advantage of. I got an oil change here. A few weeks later I had oil leaking in my driveway. I went to dirks thinking it was something more serious wrong with my car. Dirks let me know the leak was coming from my crushed oil filter (see photo) and honestly they tried to not throw jiffy under the bus, bigger people than me I suppose. If I seem annoyed it's because of what followed when I returned to jiffy with photos in hand with my receipts and their techs initials on my crushed filter and they basically told me (actually my bf because I don't like confrontation) that we were lying and DIRKS CANT BE TRUSTED!!ll and they said would review video evidence and that they have all these processes in place to prevent an oil filter from ever being crushed blah blah even though it literally happened to me. I just wanted my money back even though my driveway has oil stains now and I had to pay somewhere else for another oil change (shout out dirks) well before leaving i texted them my photos and told them to review their cameras and bring in a forensic investigator and maybe have me take a lie detector test. Within minutes of leaving I got a call I guess The photos were enough for them to start back tracking and agreeing that the filter removal tool was used to tighten my filter denting it, breaking the seal and causing it to eventually leak down my whole driveway. They offered me a free future oil change but since I will never take my car there again I gave it to my bf and have been waiting for him to use it before I left my review. They owe dirks an apology for all the mean things they said about them when dirks was nothing but professional. read more

Moved to Oroville January of this year. I came in for the 2nd Friday March 31st. late morning. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. I have a 2013 Subaru which is new to me. I am learning all of the things with this vehicle. I came in for what I thought was an oil change needed for my car and as the manager was entering in my information, I asked him about the two different check oil signs that I have with my car. One is red and the other (why I came in) was orange with "waves" he explained the two differences and suggested that I probably just needed a top off as this type of vehicle does burn oil and when the orange check oil light came on it meant that my oil was starting to get low. He also explained the miles have selected for oil change since I get synthetic oil. In the end, I needed a quart or less of oil and Jiffy Lube policy it was a first free top off, I believe. BUYER BEWARE! I call prior to going in and was quoted $55.00 for an oil change then we went in and service person tried to get me to sign off on a $77.00 oil change. When I spoke to manager he said don't know who quoted price but they quoted you wrong. Being in the service industry myself I understand not having fully qualified people in every position however when we made a quote we stood by it. This one star review is for the assistant manager I spoke with recently. I recently called to put in a complaint about my last experience- I arrived with a faulty hood cable and when it was finally opened, we asked the person servicing our vehicle to leave the lid so we could bungee the hood; this request was to make our lives easier. This wasn't done, which really sucked but I understand mistakes happen. My intention for putting the complaint in was to make them aware that small requests can sometimes really impact their customers. I was only looking for a simple apology and a we'll do better next time. Being in management myself, I NEED customers to do this to do better. However, this assistant manager doesn't get that. The response was in a nutshell, "the guys close the hood by habit and that's not his fault. You came in with a damaged hood. Nothing we can do for you so..." so? I won't be back to this location. I came in on a Saturday at 4:00 PM and got amazing service! The staff were friendly and professional. They worked quickly and it only took 15 minutes to change the oil. I knew two of the filters in my car needed changing. They took them out to show me and offered me a great price for new ones, plus a few dollars off. Their waiting room had comfy chairs and I found a nice local newspaper to read. I paid $150 for my last oil change at a DEALERSHIP and waited three hours to get it done. Needless to say, I felt jipped. I paid less at Jiffy Lube in Oroville and got two filters changed, AND full-service: checked fluids, checked tires, washed outside windows, and even vacuumed my car! I didn't even have to ask. They put that dealership to shame! I find it hard to believe the negative reviews. This place is NOT a bait and switch. They do not do sloppy oil changes. I know because I can change my own engine oil and I know how hard it is to do one when it's cold outside with a hand jack. Also, if you don't want to pay money for an oil change, better change it yourself. It costs money to get it done because you're paying someone to do it for you, plus the cost of the oil and filter. Also, check engine lights have to do with resetting your car's computer and don't always mean something is wrong. Your local mechanic will do this for free. If they forget to turn the "check engine" light off, just go back and ask. This Jiffy Lube charges a great price for a full-synthetic oil change. I will be back. My feedback would be only to spruce up the coffee-sphere and maybe add some hot cocoa for the kids. Add some car magazines and a few Oprah and National Geographic magazines. Libraries sell them for pennies. People really don't care how recent they are. They just like to have interesting stuff to read. Great job, Jiffy Lube. Keep up the good work. read more

STAY AWAY....RIPOFF AND DESTROYERS....I wish I could do negative stars because it would be neg 5...i got an oil change on September 27th for my diesel truck ...they tried to tell me I had a transmission leak and when I questioned them on it they said they made a mistake...the next day my truck gave me a check engine light. I went to my dealer and $800. Later they told all the problems were caused from a sloppy oil change job. They are willing to write a statement for me. They place needs to close. I have been to this location for four years I have had no problems the guy's are upbeat and polite except today. The team lead or CT what ever his title is was the worst. I was going chalk this experience to the fact we are experiencing the devastating Camp fire and it has taken a toll on us all some more than others. The team lead asked me to pop my hood. No problem I asked him is this new no one has ever asked me before. He said that is Jiffy lube training he will talk too his team. Then when I was paying he said refer to dealer for transmission check I asked him is there a problem with my transmission he said I don't have a dipstick for the transmission fluid you need to refer to your owners manual on when to take it in. I don't recall anyone saying that to me before, he said that was the second thing I have said that they didn't do. I asked him if he was new here. No. I work 8-5 everyday. This is all trivial until I got into my car and he said you have only been here a couple of times. I told him I have been coming here for 4 years and I had a different car prior to the one I'm driving now and I drove off. I've been here a few times and had a pretty good experience. I've even met the owner before and he's a really great guy. But now to my recent experience. I recently brought a Toyota Prius here and after they made fun of it they tried to say it needed a new headlight. I told them that the car needed to be on because one of the lights was finicky. They said, no it doesn't work with the car on. I went out there with them and low and behold it worked. They made another comment about how Prius were stupid wimpy cars and agreed that the light didn't need replaced. I mentioned that it gets 60 miles to the gallon....I wanted to go here to support the local owner, but with these knuckleheads working here this will be my last time. Again I don't blame the owner for my experience but want to warn him about the unprofessional attitude of a few of his employees. I know Oroville is a tough place to find good help and maybe these guys just need a good lesson in tact. read more

When a place tells you it will be about 20 minutes you think okay that shouldn't be too bad. When it takes them almost an hour after they gave you a 20 minute wait time its a little nuts. I have taken my cars to the actual car dealerships and got an oil change and have waited an hour but seriously at jiffy lube? I usually take my car to the dealership to change my oil for $39.99, but being that my "change oil soon" light came on I stopped by jiffy lube. I Didn't even get a chance to have my oil changed because pretty much as soon as I get out of my car the employee tells me I'm looking at paying $49.99 because "it looked" like my car had some kind of special oil filter. I drive a chevy cobalt! Not a BMW! Never have I paid over $40 for an oil change and it was unprofessional to quote me a price with out even knowing if that was the case. I even told him I pay $39.99 at the dealership, but he then proceeded to tell me I'm looking at $69.99 for synthetic oil. I NEVER get synthetic oil! At least asking if I wanted synthetic oil would have been nice instead of acting like a car salesman. I left and went right next door to Hobbie Auto Center and got my tires rotated, a car wash, and an oil change for $34. read more
