Easy and quick service! Very friendly staff too! Hardly any wait times to get an oil change.

This place is quick and the lowest price I was quoted in the area, I'd recommend if you want to save the drive down to Santa Maria

Big Brand Tire & Service

I went to each to say they never responded back except 1. Now it says they served me but they didn't. I found Big Brand Tires on my own. They were good, at getting my oil change done, advised me that I needed an alignment so got that done as well. Big Brand Tire Service didn't make me wait.

I usually get good service here, but today was a different customer experience for me. The service…read moreI sought was to re-pack the wheel bearings on my travel trailer. The person serving me on the phone told me they would need the car 2 hours, and charge 1 hour labor. We set an appointment for today. They sent a text message to confirm the appointment, and had the wrong date. I called to correct that. Then another text came yesterday that said we had not yet confirmed our appointment to get tires (which was not my purpose) and that I needed to confirm or lose my appointment. In both these cases I texted back with no reply. So I just showed up. After waiting in line 15 minutes, I was told they would have it done in about two hours. I said I'd wait over at Coastal Peaks across the street. Two hours later, I called to check status and they said "we're about to get to it." My response was "wait, you said you'd need two hours and you knew I was waiting nearby and you didn't call me?" They said a mechanic failed to show, and this threw them off. I know that can happen to any business, but the fact they did not reach out to me to advise on the delay was extremely disappointing. They proposed a shortcut of topping off the grease without having to take the wheels off altogether and repacking the wheelbearings, for a lower price, and just to get going with my day, I took it, though I'd have preferred the original larger-scale work of repacking. I had had over these several days a string of bad customer experiences (mistaken text messages, long wait in line to speak with someone, and the lack of consideration for me while waiting for the work to be done), and just wanted to get out of there. Update: The store contacted me to apologize and ask how to make the situation better for me after my unfortunate experience. I did not ask for a refund, but offered advice on how to prevent this kind of thing in the future. Interesting that he blamed the text message foul ups on their IT people. On having me wait without word on delays due to a mechanic not showing up for work, I urged them to write "customer waiting" on their work order and to call when a delay is encountered. He took that in, but still seemed to blame circumstances for the incident. Still, he apologized, so that's something.

Early one morning this week, I got a call from him: "Papa, something's wrong with my brakes, and I need an oil change." Being far away, I immediately began an exhaustive online search for automotive centers in the area, carefully reading through numerous reviews to find a place I could trust to take care of him properly. Morin Brothers consistently came up in my search, so I gave them a call, and I'm very glad I did. From the very first interaction, Elena was outstanding. She was responsive, professional, patient, and incredibly easy to communicate with. Even after reading a mix of reviews that made me slightly hesitant, her level of care and clarity gave me the confidence to move forward. We discussed the needed services, oil change, front and rear brakes, and a tire rotation. While the cost was not cheap, it was fair and comparable to other estimates I had received. When Elena later called to review additional diagnostics, I admit I was cautious, but trusting her judgment, I authorized the work so my son's vehicle could be properly and safely evaluated. A few hours later, she followed great news: the additional diagnostics revealed no issues, and there would be no charge for that extra time. She also mentioned that a previous oil change may have resulted in some excess oil being spilled, which likely contributed to the concern. As a parent, especially with a student away at college, moments like this matter. It's not just about the repair, it's about trust, communication, honesty, and peace of mind. Morin Brothers delivered on all fronts. They communicated clearly, acted with integrity, and stood by their work. Whatever may have led to the occasional negative review, my experience suggests there may be more to those stories. This will now be our go-to shop for my son's vehicle. Even if, though perhaps not, the cost is slightly higher at times, knowing your son or daughter is being looked after properly, especially when you're not nearby as a parent, is worth every bit of it. I am truly grateful for professionalism, transparency, and care. Highly recommended. - Thaddeus Widmer
