This market is nice but very expensive 2 squash were -almost 5 bucks. A croissant was $9. Bucks. Nice place to roam around on a Saturday but take some cash as the vendors are not reasonable the food booths are ok and regular pricing but the veggie booths etc are hella expensive.

I come for the seasonings and the cinnamon rolls. We showed up a couple hours after opening and the only cinnamon rolls left were the traditional. I was t in the mood for the basic ones so I decided to try out one of their gourmet cookies instead. For $6 I tried out the Ferraro Roche chocolate chip cookie and it was absolutely delicious! We'll come back in a couple of months when our seasonings need to be replenished but by that time it'll be scorching outside making it miserable to walk this market.

We got there right at 10am when they said they were supposed to open. The gates were locked. We finally waited in the little patio area (thanks to a thoughtful employee who saw us standing outside.) Employees arrived to open the doors about 10 minutes later. We were disappointed with the poor and meager selection and the prices were too high. I did end up getting some local honey and chicken and 1 peach. I haven't tried any of it yet. I don't think we'll go back. Maybe it gets better as the day goes on when they get more produce in?

The vendors are are really great people and the live music is the perfect touch! Being located near home is even better (west side of town). I hope it gets more visitors to keep it going because it's so fun to have them over here. They did a fun Halloween event with candy and costume contests. It's a bit more involved than the other markets, even if it isn't the biggest one. It's like a little family. :) I definitely recommend a visit. We were able to grab the last of the season's navel and Cara Cara oranges, along with some fresh lemons. Everything was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. We also picked up some dates, which are absolutely delicious. I love mine stuffed with good Irish butter and cheddar, it's the perfect sweet and savory combo. My wife prefers hers with Skippy peanut butter, and she absolutely loves them. As always, the staff were wonderful, friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. It's become a bit of a tradition for us, and we'll definitely keep coming back every time we're in the area.

The Cuyama seller has exhibited unprofessional behaviour in the past, but I did not interact with him today until he decided to play police. I returned my purchase and won't be getting apples from Cuyama again.

We got ourselves some sweet blackberries to take home. Out on the farm, we had the best tractor ride and learned some fun facts about fruits, as well as slid on the huge slide and played some outdoor games. While we were here, we ate some oakie pies. My favorite is thanksgiving dinner. It tastes just like November-- Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, and gravy. They have other tasty savory pies like the chicken pot pie, blueberry pulled pork, and the breakfast pie. Of course, you could get some sweet ones too!
