It's not really a farmers market more like a swapmeet. I remember when it was Farmers/homesteds selling produce and juice.

Small, some farm products, some crafts. We'll organized, but needs to have better signage showing the location.

So many wonderful vendors! My favorite is Zepedas Stone Fire Pizza! We also stop by Pet Wants to grab healthy treats for our pups!

5 star review with one word of caution for anyone reading this. It's more of an outdoor local mall…read more Not a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. But with that being said it has a great vibe, lots of cool finds and great food and coffee! I live zeppos pizza and the tamales!! Cool plants stands, I bought an amazing ivy a few mo the back that is probably the healthiest ivy I've ever seen, cool candles and even healthy herbs and teas! Great market all around

THEY ALLOW DOGS IN THE MARKET, on leashes, puppy carriers, dog strollers JUST NASTY........ FARMERS MARKET ???? I only see 2 or 3 vendors with produce, I originally hoped I t would get better over time. and nope it hasnt same 2 to 3 vegetable vendors same thing very week. 2/5 Stars I come here for 2 places Martins Meats 5/5 Stars and Howies Micheladas,5/5 Stars and other than that i don't even know why I continue to come here, I can get those any day of the week, I guess this "Farmer's Market" is not my particular cup of tea ,I have been spoiled in Ventura and San Diego all my life so im biased on the lack of variation of produce and vendors, I have tried to give them a chance, I usually am disappointed every time I come, nothing original, two or 3 places sell almost the exact same items here, and certain places are either out of what I want to get or they don't make that particular item the weekend that I come. I show up before 10am everytime and it hasn't made a difference if I showed up right before closing to get some Chamoy candies, and a Agua Fresca from Howie or some rib tips or breakfast tacos/burritos from Martin. Both 5/5 Stars Dont get me wrong for Bakersfield this is a 5 but we've gotta have more variety Final rating 2/5 Stars until they bring in some produce, and not puppies..

With…read moreall that you are not going to be able to find your entire shopping list here but what you will find is the highest quality products I have see or tasted in a ling time. Let me tell you about this Free Reign Jam in Cinnamon Pear flavor. I wasnt sure what to expect but I was Intrigued. It was bought, I made a piece of toast and took a bite. This bite wasnt just a bite, it changed my entire outlook on jelly or jams. It took my toast to a whole new dimension. The only way I can describe this flavor to you is to say I felt I had taken a bite of cinnamon toast crunch cereal with a slight pear flavor at the end. The pear was subtle and soft but the cinnamon stole the show. The jam has all natural ingredients, no weird named preservatives and had a opened life of 30 days. It wont last that long, I must go back to try everything there and so should you. I think this jam would be lovely with a charcuterie board. Invite me over if you do I will help you devour it .

My sister and I were searching for a good farmer's market and decided to go to Fresh Harvest Market…read morebecause it had good reviews. We got there right at 10am when they said they were supposed to open. The gates were locked. We finally waited in the little patio area (thanks to a thoughtful employee who saw us standing outside.) Employees arrived to open the doors about 10 minutes later. We were disappointed with the poor and meager selection and the prices were too high. I did end up getting some local honey and chicken and 1 peach. I haven't tried any of it yet. I don't think we'll go back. Maybe it gets better as the day goes on when they get more produce in?

Let's get real, we are talking Oildale here, not central Bakersfield or the Rosedale area. On the Thursday evenings that I am in town, I make it a point to peruse each and every merchant, which by the way consists of more than just 3 tents. I have purchased my fruits and veggies, natural dog treats, hand made craft items, local bee honey and even brought home a hot dinner for us to enjoy. Oh ya, and don't forget to tip the wonderful guitarist/vocalist who keeps us entertained. Overall this most certainly is in no way a Kaiser Sunday market and not even close to the Brimhall Saturday market, but it does have what I need to keep me going throughout the week. Don't be detoured by the negative comments and think about it in a positive. Since it is smaller it's easy to find what you want, purchase your items and then get home and spend your valuable time preparing a healthy meal for your beautiful family.

Oildale is a small NEW market. We don't have the size that our markets have on the weekend but this is how markets start.
