This is a very small very wonderful market downtown. It has all things fresh and amazing. With all that you are not going to be able to find your entire shopping list here but what you will find is the highest quality products I have see or tasted in a ling time. Let me tell you about this Free Reign Jam in Cinnamon Pear flavor. I wasnt sure what to expect but I was Intrigued. It was bought, I made a piece of toast and took a bite. This bite wasnt just a bite, it changed my entire outlook on jelly or jams. It took my toast to a whole new dimension. The only way I can describe this flavor to you is to say I felt I had taken a bite of cinnamon toast crunch cereal with a slight pear flavor at the end. The pear was subtle and soft but the cinnamon stole the show. The jam has all natural ingredients, no weird named preservatives and had a opened life of 30 days. It wont last that long, I must go back to try everything there and so should you. I think this jam would be lovely with a charcuterie board. My sister and I were searching for a good farmer's market and decided to go to Fresh Harvest Market because it had good reviews. We got there right at 10am when they said they were supposed to open. The gates were locked. We finally waited in the little patio area (thanks to a thoughtful employee who saw us standing outside.) Employees arrived to open the doors about 10 minutes later. We were disappointed with the poor and meager selection and the prices were too high. I did end up getting some local honey and chicken and 1 peach. I haven't tried any of it yet. I don't think we'll go back. Maybe it gets better as the day goes on when they get more produce in? read more

We found this amazing market while antique shopping on a Saturday. What a great find! Lots of locally raised gras feed- pasture raised meats available at very fair prices. Lots of very clean food items, loose leaf teas, single origin coffee, real small batch sourdough bread and just too much to list if you're trying to live a healthy lifestyle. This market is locally owned and operated. The owner is super nice and knowledgeable about her market. The meat is local and has great taste. It's almost like shopping at a farmers market but is available everyday. They carry a variety of grains and beans all with no pesticides. The selection of produce and meats are good value for the safeness and quality they offer. We try to go to this market as often as possible. Shop local and keep this market alive. My wife and I stopped by here when we were in this part of Bakersfield and I was so impressed by this little market, the quality of the farm to table products the wonderful spices and herbs. I was impressed and a variety of local roasted coffee too. I'll definitely love to come back when I come down the hill to go to Trader Joe's. I'll swing by here too. read more

Very cool little market in the middle of downtown Bakersfield. They sell organic meats from the family owned cattle farm. They also have fresh organic vegetables and a variety of high quality canned goods. There also have an extensive selection of loose leaf tea along with herbs, nuts and so much more. I thought I have written a review before, but maybe I haven't. I didn't see one. I have been going to the store now for almost a year and it's the perfect store for me. I can only eat organics and grass fed meat. So that's what the store has. There's all kinds of herbs and teas and tallows for your skin. It's like the health food section of a grocery store. Without all of the rest of the junk food portion of the store. It's convenient for when I'm working downtown. I could run in there real quick and grab some eggs or raw milk. I really do hope that this store does good because I hope it is around for very long time. The employees are very knowledgeable and friendly. I don't have any photos because every time I go in there I'm really distracted. :) I'll add some next time. read more

Excellent customer service. The ladies are knowledgeable about hearbs. They have a natural hearb that destroys cancer cells. Organic spices and grass fed not chemical meats. Fresh organic produce and homemade bread and tortillas.
