No Bueno! I had the chicken, shrimp, and steak Yakimeshi with fried rice. The entire meal was bland, a hint of salt and black pepper would have elevated everything. Egg drop soup was about $1.65 so I ordered one just to try, again no bueno! The portion, however was generous. Then again, I prefer quality over quantity. While waiting I saw one of the cooks make sushi, I just hope the case they store their ingredients in has refrigeration. Hole in a wall and a bit worn down inside. I used to eat at this place all the time a couple years back when I was a student at Keesler. Now I'm back and had to hit the old stomping ground of good, cheap, and tasty to go hibachi. I got the chicken, steak, and shrimp w/ a salad - after taxes it was only $13. This food is to die for and they are pretty quick! The sushi is poor to decent, depending on the specific roll. Average. That would be the one word I would use to describe this place. The sushi is not terribly bad, but it is nothing that I am going to go out of my way to get again. They suffer from the same thing most sushi places suffer from in a market like this. You adjust how and what you make to suit the local environment and in the process reduce what you are producing to a bland sense of nothing. I will give them credit in that the ingredients are fresh. I tried this place out as it was nearby and open late and I must say, the place smelled good, the food looked pretty good as I got it to go but it lacked flavor. The chicken tasted like it was cooked hours before and just heated up in the microwave, it was dry and flavorless. Small place. The inside is clean and the staff friendly . They have a nice sized TV and the food is served quick; within 5 minutes of my hibachi steak small order which was of decent size. You get a ton of rice, 6oz or so of steak, and some veggies (broccoli, carrots, zucchini, and onions). The salad it comes with is tiny and came with 2 slices cucumber, 1 slice tomatoes, and a handful lettuce. The steak wasn't chewy and the veggies weren't mush...I like a little crunch. Not much flavor in the steak. I also ordered tuna lover sushi....it was okay. It had no flavor to it. I'd probably wouldnt come back unless I had a strong urge for sushi and there were no other option. They give you a takeout tray even though you dine in. read more

This is what hibachi should taste like. Not too salty but not under seasoned/flavored. The shrimp were large as advertised The vegetables were not over cooked by any means and the yum yum sauce (white sauce) was very good and seemed to be house made. The steak is not even real meat, it's glued together and is not even separated when you pick it up with your fork, it's lined with fat and chewy. The sauce on the meat has no taste and just covers up the terrible look of the steak. The broccoli was not even cooked all the way and was to hard to eat, tossed it. The rice was not bad, but still did not make up for the fact that the food was trash, the restaurant is trash - just like the Pass Road area of Biloxi. It's a no frills restaurant offers basic seating and carry out for their food; everything is ordered at the counter. It is Chinese-owned so it's not going to be 100% authentic. Good food & Reasonable prices. We got sushi rolls & hot food. The Shrimp tempura roll is really good and cost less than $5! Very casual atmosphere.
