I first tried this during COVID, and I knew from the start from the way they packaged everything to go, that this place cares about presenting a near-perfect ramen experience that leaves you coming back for more, spreading the word to others, and bringing them into the mix! The last time we came, we went with some friends, tried the takoyaki, which were these amazing fried octopus bites with drizzled mayo, katsu sauce and fish flake on them - very tasty! The Crab Jalapeño dish is fantastic and much get. The Fried Chicken Bun is also fantastic! We recently tried the honey chicken Donburi, and that wasn't our favorite so I can't recommend that. Wow, I have been wanting to check this place out for a while. The place is a cozy little ramen shop, but don't let that fool you. The portions are very generous and the staff is awesome. They are very attentive and friendly. I ordered some of the crispy jalapeño appetizer and was blown away by the taste. Creamy and just a little heat with the crispy outer texture. I ordered spicy Chasu ramen with extra broth and egg. It was so warm and flavorful. Just the right amount of spice and porky broth under tone. The Chasu was nice and not tough like some places. I couldn't finish it all because the portion was so generous. The noodles were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of spring to them. Yay for fantastic ramen in the south metro! We've tried many places, and this is by far the best that we've had in the south metro. First off, the atmosphere inside is nice and the restaurant is clean. For appetizers, we've had the chashu bun, chicken bun, and gyoza - all of which were delicious. I recall liking their gyoza dipping sauce and the buns were perfectly done! Now, the star of the show is, of course, the ramen. We've had the shoyu and tonkotsu ramen. While their tonkotsu broth isn't quite as rich as most, it is still absolutely delicious (and some can get a little too much by the time you're nearing the end, but this one doesn't). Their shoyu broth is also delicious. The chashu in the ramen is heavenly: flavorful and tender, it is perfectly cooked! Noodles are great as well. We have gone here a few times now and had great service every time! If, like many, your ramen experience has been limited to instant noodles, this is the perfect place to have your eyes opened to the wonder of "real" Japanese ramen. Amazing Ramen! My husband and I are Ramen fanatics. We have tried almost all of the ramen places in the Twin Cities. So when I saw this relatively newer place on Yelp, we have to come try it. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very nice lady and seated right away as it's 4pm on a weekday, so there was just us. My husband ordered our favourite type of ramen - Tonkotsu Ramen, and I ordered a Spicy Ramen and Gyoza. The gyoza was splendid and I in particular loved the dipping sauce, which is a delicate sweet soy sauce with some kick to it. And then both our ramen came. The first impression I had of them was the very good looking colours of the broth. I tried both broths and was immediately hooked by their unique flavours. The Tonkotsu broth isn't the same as the ones I had before (as most people who cares about Tonkotsu would recognize that strong pork flavour, sometimes almost way too rich or strong, right away). It is a lot more refreshing, less pungent but doesn't shy away from catching your attention. I confirmed it later with the lady in the store that they take away the really fatty parts in the end, which makes the broth less unhealthy and won't become too rich as you chow down the yummy broth. I would say it's an understatement that I loved my Spicy Chashu Ramen - it might be one of the best ones I've had. It's definitely not spicy enough, but the flavour is really nice and it makes the whole ramen dish very cohesive. And then don't get me started on those Chashu Pork slices! They are the best I've had with how thick they are but yet it's not chewy at all. I loved the charred flavour and that fatty part of it is amazing as well. I'm coming back for more, it's Oishii!!! read more
