Amazing restaurant. We've been coming to Puerto Rico for the last 20 years, and the cuisine never fails to impress us. OKEAH in Fajardo was another one of those memorable places. The passion fruit mojito was so refreshing and generously sized. My husband and I ordered the tuna tartare and the seafood mariscos--both dishes were generous portions and absolutely delicious. Eduardo, our waiter, was very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed talking with him about the local area. On our way out, we were greeted by Ferdinand, who helped us cross the road. He also had a lot of knowledge about the area. If you stop by this spot, make sure you have a chat with these friendly staff members--they are a wealth of information. read more

First time in PR. I took my husband to this restaurant for his birthday. It was a beautiful restaurant lovely Terrace. Restaurant is in a general marina area which smelled horrible like sewage and raw fish though the restaurant was clean and neat. We ordered a variety of dishes. We got tuna tartare as an appetizer, which was pretty good. We gave it a 3.7 out of 5. Tuna was fresh avocado was tasty. Probably need something like a chip or crackers on the side, but overall relatively good. I got a strawberry margarita. That was absolutely phenomenal five out of five. The fried fish was red snapper my husband very much enjoyed it. Four out of five. I got the paella. It was wet a little bit mushy, but was full of lots of seafood. Stopped in to Okeah for the one night we stayed in Fajardo. We had just traveled all day and were starving by the time we got there. Okeah delivered with delicious food and nice cold drinks. We started off with the snapper ceviche. You could taste the freshness in the snapper and had delicious flavor. My boyfriend ordered the personal paella. It was packed with so much flavor and seafood variations. I was just craving regular rice and beans with pana tostones and they had ALL of these options on the menu. You could taste the freshness in the beans and could tell they were cooked authentically. Definitely hit the spot for what we were craving our first night in PR! Nestled between Las Croabas and Fajardo, Okeah was one of the few restaurants open on Tuesday night in the area for me on our January vacation, and most places seemed only to be open starting Thursday. While it's better to make a reservation just to ensure you get a seat you want, we were able to walk in at 7:30 and sat inside. The server was very attentive and gave us many good recommendations. All in all, I probably would have given the place a 4.5 as opposed to a 5, but part of that is just due to personal taste. I found the steak to be a bit more chewy than I usually like and the vegetables were a tad undersalted. However, the seasoning and flavoring of both the meat and ceviche were great and the restaurant's atmosphere was both cozy and a bit swanky - great for a date night. This is such a solid place. Its got a very comfortable, slightly upscale, vibe. I had a reservation for 6pm. I arrived at 5:45pm. I was seated within a few minutes. The staff are professional and our server was very good. The food tastes fresh and not over seasoned. Some may say bland. However, when you have quality ingredients, you don't need much to make it taste good. We started with a dozen oysters that had a very slight spice with bits of chopped mango. my guy had the lobster bisque and I had the tuna tartare. Both were good. For our entrees He had the paella, and I had the Pork Ossobuco in a guava sauce. Both were really good. I got the Mofongo for a side. I wish that the dish came with a bit more sauce. The bill came out to $150 plus tip. I thought it was worth it. We did not order drinks, but they all looked amazing as the servers walked by with them. I will definitely be coming back. read more

The view is beautiful and the food is excellent. I had the shrimp in cilantro and garlic cream sauce with Parmesan cream sauce. We made a reservation through Resy for three people at 7pm. When we arrived a group of five was waiting for a table without a reservation (a gentleman in the group told us such when we entered). The host sat the table of five and then came back to us. There was some back and forth on where we made our reservation. We originally thought it was OpenTable but it was actually Resy. The host confirmed the reservation and I saw it on her tablet screen. I also showed her the confirmation email we had. Despite this, she told us we would need to wait 30 minutes for a table. No apology or acknowledgement that this was an inconvenience. This was both surprising and upsetting, given that we had a confirmed reservation. The host revised her estimate to say it might be 15-30 minutes. Unfortunately, the behavior of both the host and the server she pulled in to assist her was unprofessional and inhospitable. They were condescending in their explanation, stating that we had to wait due to "previous reservations" and suggesting that we should be happy to wait. This was especially upsetting since a large party without a reservation had already been seated ahead of us and no matter how much we tried to explain our frustration, the staff was not interested in hearing us out. I fully understand that mistakes happen, but I found the staff's dismissive and rude behavior to be unacceptable. read more

There were 4 of us for dinner. Not a busy night, we saw several open tables. The best part is the location and seating outside with the ocean view. Unfortunately: 1. The service is slow. We waited about 15min for a table, at least 5-10min being ignored. Food came out slowly. 2. The food was good but not worth the very high prices. We ordered osso bucco (good tender meat, but seasoning bland), steak (good but awful chimichurri), empanadas (great), and fish ceviche (bland). We will not return. This restaurant was fantastic in every way! It was so good my family and I had to come twice in 3 days! They were extremely hospitable and even on short notice found a way to fit my family of 11 despite us coming on a busy day. The food is fantastic and exactly what we would want while on vacation. Only good things to say about the food, service and atmosphere. Only complaint is management policy! The oysters did NOT agree with my hubby who normally loves oysters. When the bill came I asked if we could at least have a 50% charge on just the oysters since he had a couple before not feeling well. This is a fantastic alternative to a local resort's restaurant array and a great opportunity to try some local takes on upscale food. The crab cakes were wonderful and we arrived early. We ate at a bunch of places on our vacation and this was by far the best meal. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was spectacular! We sat out on the terrace and overlooked the ocean while we enjoyed drinks and snacked on the red snapper ceviche, calamari, melon and prosciutto salad and crab cakes. While the sun set on New Year's Eve we sampled the lobster Mac, fried snapper, Ossobucco, paella, octopus in garlic cream, and the salmon. Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We had an absolutely fabulous time tonight. Our service Lesley was so friendly and efficient. The lobster with mariscos was so yummy.

Okeah is a well decorated restaurant with a nice appearance and a miserable interior. The food, service, attention to detail, and amenities are extremely underwhelming. My crab cakes were extremely bland and burnt in a deep fryer. They tasted like the crab had been frozen or taken from a can, except they had a large amount of silt or dirt in then, so must've been fresh caught. Either way, I could barely eat the first one. My paella was the most bland paella I've ever eaten. The cooks did not bother to put salt, lemon, paprika, or Saffron to this dish. The mussels shrimp, and calmiari were VERY dirty with sand or silt. I would complain about the small portion size but didn't want to eat the small amount they served me let alone a normal sized dinner. The cooks apparently don't bother to wash the fish or rinse dirt from their seafood. They evidently like to use frozen or canned meat/fish. They also don't bother to season food with salt, lemon, or any kind of acid. The chicken was burnt, rubbery and bland. It tasted like it was freezer burned or from a can. Again, no seasoning and had no moisture remaining. The Morongo was likewise devoid of any spices, salt, or texture. Tasted like a raw plantain. The service is equally weak. Our waitress took 15 minutes to find an empty glass to pour a bottle of beer. She took 35 minutes to bring our entrees, during which two other tables which ordered after us had been served entrees. Our waitress did not deliver our food. She never checked on us after we stayed eating during which I would have liked to point out the dirty seafood and bland paella, but she simply vanished. She wasn't available to bring us salt or pepper to season our bland food. My small glass of water ran out after 10 minutes and our waitress never came to refill it, even when I flagged her down to ask for my check and pointed at my empty glass. The restaurant doesn't bother to leave salt or pepper shakers on the table to season the bland food. Their menus are black and white paper stapled together even though the menu refers to important terms "see red text" which is impossible since their menus are black and white. They don't replace dirty utensils between courses. They don't provide spoons at all. Then they charge $100 for well below average food. Avoid at all costs. read more

Everything was incredible but the churrasco was a little tough and the potatoes needed more seasoning. The salmon and risotto dish was insanely good. This place is over rated and way over priced. They require reservations but don't know how to tell time but will seat others ahead of you regardless. The young hostess is a total bitch. I wouldn't bother to eat at this place if I was begged to after the way i was treated. I will never go back and dont advice anyone tobother trying this place unless you want to get frustrated. Eating classic Puerto Rican dishes on an outdoor balcony overlooking the water definitely made for a memorable meal during our vacation. Our family shared a couple of appetizers and an entree plus a (very generous) kid's meal for our daughter, and I thought the price was reasonable and almost everything was delicious (the grilled chicken breast was the only thing that wasn't good). The fish empanadas were our favorite! Our server was so bad it became amusing, but the other servers I observed were very prompt and professional, so I think we just had bad luck with the one assigned to us. He spilled water every time he filled our glass, stood right next to us awkwardly the second he handed menus apparently expecting us to know what we wanted to order before looking at it, was rude and pushy when bringing the check, etc. If we'd had good (or even mediocre) service, it would have been a 5 star experience. read more

well all I have to say is if you would like to have the most phenomenal dining experience I would recommend going here. might be worth it to call and make reservations as when we got there the outside seating was full and I really wanted to sit outside but luckily tables opened up and Leslie moved us out and while I was happy with everything the shrimp scampi was the highlight. we also got oysters and prosciutto and melon salad. that was really good too and the lamb also wonderful. will be thinking of this for a long time. until next time I hope read more
